About this property

Cottage in the Country-Only 30 min. from Waterton!! Sleeps 6 -Hot Tub!

This gorgeous cottage sleeps 6 and is completely self contained. It is located just 30 minutes outside of Waterton National Park. Has stunning mountain and prairie views, and is in the country on 106 acres! There is a private deck with your own hot tub for endless evening fun!

Every bit of the 850 square feet cottage has been professionally and beautifully decorated in a vintage inspired theme. COTTAGE IS LOCATED ON THE SAME PROPERTY AS OWNERS HOME. Cottage has its own driveway, fenced backyard, porch & barbeque, however, 2 windows face the home-owners own residence.

The natural wildlife that you may see outside your window include: deer, antelope, bison, cow, and horses. You may also be lucky enough to see or help feed: ducks, chickens and puppies, or cats on the nearby family farm. Although we do a thorough sanitization and cleaning process between all guests, because we are on a farm in the country it is possible that you may experience dust, flies or the occasional mouse inside the cottage. We hope if any of these become bothersome you will let us know so we can send them back to nature.

There are 2 bedrooms, each with 1 queen bed as well as 1 brand new memory foam queen pullout bed in the living room.

The surrounding deck is a perfect spot to picnic and includes a table, chairs and a barbeque or roast things around the firepit. FIREWOOD IS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE at our nearby Meadowlark Market.

IN THE SUMMER WE HAVE OUR OWN FARMERS MARKET!!! Onsite with fresh flowers, vegetables, eggs, candles, treats, popcorn, chocolate, gourmet soda pop, journals, bath salts, gifts, firewood, and other local handmade items. Market is self-serve and open all throughout the summer from 10am-9pm. We accept cash & e-transfer

Cold winter evenings are perfect for bundling up and sitting in front of the lovely fireplace with a glass of hot cocoa or a good book. You may also want to take long walks in the surrounding countryside and just enjoy the magnificent night display of stars and planets!

Warm summer nights are our favorite time to host family dances and cottage guests are always welcome to join us at no additional charge. Although if you prefer not to, there is plenty of quiet and privacy in your secluded hide-away:)

We had a lovely stay at this home. It's in a very quiet setting and the home and hosts were great. It's about 35 minutes from Waterton National Park. I would highly recommend this rental.

Stay close to waterton
This place was incredible. A little difficult to find, but the owner is very proactive on giving directions. Secluded place, full of ammenities, jaccuzzi, the kids loved. I stayed in 4 different house during this trip and this was the best. Highly recommend it.

Great Little Place Near The Mountains
This is a nice place to stay, and works perfect for visiting nearby Waterton Lakes National Park. Eric and Rebecca were great hosts the two nights we stayed and made sure we had everything we needed. A very relaxing stay that made it easy to kick back.

Lovely stay
Loved the stay here. Wonderful hosts and setting out in the country. Night ski glorious. Coffee maker is tricky and the hot tub doesn’t get super hot. So grateful we got to stay here. Bring food as there is no place to eat nearby! However, hosts gave fresh eggs for sale which were fabulous!

Great stay!!
We had a lovely, relaxing stay. Our hosts were wonderful, even offering us food on our first night because we were too tired after an 18 hour trip to stop and eat! The beds were quite comfortable, the hot tub was awesome and so was the little outdoor porch with comfy furniture. We became very attached to our horsey neighbors.

Great place
The cottage was in a great location, within 15 minutes of Waterton. The view from the back of the mountains was amazing. It was nice to sit in the hot tub after long days of hiking at Waterton National Park. Cute little shop too. I would highly recommend this place.

A quiet, relaxing getaway from the city.
The cottage was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It had everything you needed if you wanted to cook (which we did). The hosts were very gracious and willing to help us navigate the TV and gas fireplace etc. I particularly enjoyed my short time with Marie, who gave me a chance to feed and interact with horses, baby goats, chickens, ducks and two gorgeous huskies. Really enjoyed the stay - it was just what we needed.

Lovely countryside location
A lovely place in a quiet location with very friendly hosts. Off the beaten track but great for getting to Waterton. Rebecca was so lovely with our little one and let us help feed the animals. Place is amazingly stocked and such a relaxing place to be. We had a slight house issue when there and Eric and Rebecca were amazing and responsive and helped things sort out.

A lovely stay in the country!
This is a very quaint little cottage that is situated on a farm behind the owner's home. It's very private, peaceful, and extremely well-decorated. We loved being able to visit with all of the farm animals, and to see the sunrise and sunset so clearly every day. In the evenings, we enjoyed playing "Blurt!", a fun board game, and watching a DVD or reading books from the well stocked library of DVDs and books. We used this cottage as a base to visit Writing on Stone Provincial Park (which is quite a ways away, but we enjoyed the drive!) and Waterton National Park. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage as a base from which to explore southern Alberta. It definitely felt like a "home away from home."

Cottage exactly as described. The directions were spot on but have them in your hand. The cottage was very quiet and peaceful and check out was easy. the owners are on the premises which makes it easy. We did Glacier and Waterton Parks and it was very easy to get there. I would go back.

Keep in mind that this is a rural location
Follow Rebecca's instructions, and if before dark, you will find the place (each leg of the listed turns, after one block off the highway to L turn, is 0.9-1.0 miles) but your car will be coated with road dust. The cottage, behind the house, is charming and well equipped for home cooking (there really aren't any close by restaurants). Our visit was in a very warm July but there was always a brisk breeze, enabling rapid cooling by opening the windows. It is blissfully quiet - lowing of cattle was the only sound to be heard. It's a 35 minute drive to the Waterton Park gate. Internet access was good although watching a streaming video wasn't always possible. There is a small washer/dryer inside the bedroom closet. The tankless water heater can be tricked should you bump downward the temperature control handle while in the shower, resulting in a sudden deluge of icy water. Don't bump it and you have endless hot water. Don't choose convection mode on the propane oven or it will take forever to preheat (slow anyway). Rebecca greeted us when we arrived and was most gracious and informative. As we felt our way, we had no need to call her. We would happily stay here again.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful setting.
We stayed here during a visit to Waterton Lakes Park and enjoyed our stay. My teenage daughter just loved the decor. She wants to decorate her house the same way. There was a window air conditioner which I wasn't aware of. That helped as it was fairly warm during our stay. Cottage had everything we needed. Had a great time.

Lovely and serene
This charming cottage provided the perfect place for us to rest and refresh ourselves. It wasn't fancy but had everything we needed, both indoors and out. The decor was current and delightful, the views were spectacular, the amenities guaranteed that our stay was wonderful. We loved exploring this little corner of Alberta and took many day trips, coming back each time to this darling little nest. We will book this again and again.

Peaceful, Clean and Lovely!
It was the perfect place to come home to after a day of hiking and swimming in Waterton. The hot showers never ran out, the beds were comfortable, and the place was beautiful. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Hosts were easy to work with allowing us extra time to check out as needed and checking in to make sure everything was perfect for our stay.

Delightful Cottage In a Heavenly Quiet Location
I live in the city and was looking for a place to go and relax with my family. I absolutely loved this cottage and have in fact rented in more than once. It was perfect for my couples retreat, as well as my 'girls retreat'! It was close enough to Waterton for day excursions and also close to Cardston for evening entertainment and reasonably priced groceries. I loved how it is located off a main highway, but far enough away that I could not hear any traffic (which is what I was looking for) and completely surrounded by farmers fields with the most amazing mountain views. I loved the decorations. I have stayed in many nice hotels, but they just aren't charming. This cottage is completely charming. As soon as you walk in you feel spoiled by the soft blankets, perfect beds, cozy fireplace and chic decor. Rebecca was an excellent host. I had a few special needs that are unique to me and she was happy to help fulfil them.

I would not stay here again, not what was advertised, not clean, not classy, would not rent again
OWNERS HAVE NO INTEGRITY. Property is For Sale, owners moved to another country four months ago. Home has been neglected, siding off exterior, door knobs falling off, grass a foot high. Inside was disgusting, dead flies on windowsills, and overhead light fixtures, thick dust on fake trees in house and jar lids on shelves. Even after sending pictures to the owner she said I was wrong, that a professional cleaning crew had deep cleaned the house twice that month. Read review from Aug 12th. We booked this rental 6 months in advance for the amenities we needed, internet, washer/dryer, and AC. Internet: We were given the wrong password, with the 16 hr time difference we were back and forth for 1 1/2 days before we got connected. Dryer: Sign on dryer said Out of Order, but owner now claims it is slow to dry clothes? Says my fault for not trying to use it! AC: The AC was a tiny window unit in living room, after running it for hours, bedroom temp at 10:00pm was 83. At check out guests are required to empty trash and sweep. When I mentioned there was food and dirt behind trashcan owner said I was weird for sweeping there. The towers across the road have strobe lights flashing every 5 seconds lighting the bedroom all night. The owners don't care about their guests, if there's a complaint they will argue that you are wrong. Owners have lied and changed their story over and over. These are not honest people. DON'T BOOK THIS RENTAL!

All I imagined and more
I dreamed of visiting Waterton and staying nearby on the prairies with my family and my dream came true in this home which is much larger than the pictures show. We drove to Waterton and back easily and saw deer right up close, and a bear during the lake cruise. The sunset on the prairie with good view of Chief Mountain when we got back were an added bonus to cap our day.

Waterton/Glacier Park is spectacular and having the cottage allowed us to return to a wonderful shower and healthy dinner after a long day of hiking.

Hi, my name is Rebecca. When I was just 8 years old my father bought a sailboat and my 7 siblings and I as well as my mother sailed around the world. It was this incredible 5 year experience that motivated me to create a place where travelers from around the world could stay and have an incredible experience!

Why they chose this property

8 years ago my sisters and I found a stunning piece of country property and wanted to live there with our kids. Slowly each one of us has been able to build our homes and move out onto this grassy, beautiful place where families dreams come true!

What makes this property unique

We chose this property because of it's breathtaking mountain views, it's total seclusion from the world and it's proximity to Waterton National Park.
