We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It felt bigger than the pictures and had all the amenities. The decor was so cute and had so many nice touches. The owners were kind and receptive! I loved washing dishes and looking at the mountains. The beds were comfy too! The park is a short drive away and we loved having our space away from the town. We all would highly recommend this property!
Great find close to Waterton. Wild fire smoke obscured our mountain views somewhat, but still beautiful. The flat open area around the house was great for the kids to run off some steam. The nearby convenience/gas store provided necessary dining at a fraction of Waterton rates. Note to those who enjoy a beer or wine....dry county and a drive to Waterton or further was necessary for that. Bring some with you! The grill was super to prepare locally grown beef available at convenience store.
We stayed here for two nights so we could have easy access to Waterton. The cabin was very clean and well kept. Absolutely no issues and would stay there again. Only comment is that there is really not much around (dining/grocery) near the cabin. Not a problem if you plan for that. The local convenience store was very nice but had limited selection. Waterton was easy to access and beautiful.
Clean place, quiet surroundings, easy process. I even had issues with e-mail as my cell phone wasn't working well in Canada so the host texted me everything I needed (somehow SMS was working but e-mail and data was painfully slow).

Great cabin for family
We had a great stay. Our kids really enjoyed the loft area. The adults appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and drinking water. Thanks for giving the kids a soccer ball to kick around also. Wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend to friends!

It was okay
The cabin was cute. Very tiny kitchen/living room area which was not conducive to visiting due to the layout and limited seating. No storage for clothes in bedrooms. No area to store vanity supplies in the little bathroom. The view is lovely. I'm sure the surroundings will be better as the landscaping is completed around the cabins. The owners are very nice and respond quickly to any concerns or needs.

This is a fairly new listing that boasts 3 cabins side by side on the owners property. There is a bedroom downstairs and 3 beds upstairs in the loft. The whole experience was a big positive. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely return.

Fabulous views and comfortable stay
The cottage is very easy to find as Mary had given excellent directions. We wanted to getaway for the weekend and this was a perfect mini-holiday. The town of Mountain View is situated among picturesque rural surroundings.
The cottage offers stunning views of the Rockies every time you sit for a meal and you have something beautiful to look at from every window of the cabin. The bed was comfy, property was clean and fully equipped with essentials. We enjoyed our brief conversations with Dennis during the stay. Mary and Dennis were both very accommodating to our requests. The diary placed on the dining table is a must read if you are curious to know about the family and the property. What a wonderful history!
The time to reach Waterton is about 20 minutes. It is mostly closed during winter but still accessible if you want to visit the lake, spot some deers and see the waterfall in town.
The cottage is very welcoming and you wouldn't want to leave. Highly recommended this stay!

What a wonderful, peaceful retreat. Clean, well stocked, quaint and tastefully decorated. Exactly what we needed to get away and relax as a family. Thank you for a memorable Thanksgiving.

Couldn't ask for a better view!
These are charming little cabins overlooking the hamlet of Mountain View and the Rocky Mountains. It is simply breathtaking to watch the sun set over the mountains from the window of the cabin. The main bedroom is tight, but the bed is comfortable. The cabin was clean and well decorated. So nice to have a kitchen too.

The cabins we clean and well equipped and nicely decorated.
Mary was easy to reach by phone, and we had no issues getting into the cabin or getting extra supplies. The cabin was cute and nicely decorated. The loft was spacious and the main floor had all we needed, including a full kitchen.
The location halfway between Waterton and Cardston was convenient and quiet. The scenery from the windows was beautiful!
We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends!
One small suggestion: have a few extra warm blankets available in the loft, it gets a bit chilly at night.
All in all it was a wonderful stay and Mary was a friendly and considerate property manager.

Perfect little cabin for a weekend getaway.
We stayed as 4 adults and the cabin was the perfect size for us. It has everything we needed to cook our own meals and is about 20 minutes from Waterton village. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we make another trip to the area.
From the moment we arrived we felt like home. The cabin was easy to find, neatly set up, and with a great view on the mountains.
We are actually debating making a cabin like this one for ourselves.
Fabulous, amazing views.
It was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved the upstairs room/bedroom they had all to themselves.
Waterton lakes NP mountain peaks are visible out the dining windows.
The place was tidy, beds were comfortable and decorations reflected the "fisherman’s cabin” name. Easy access to waterton park, easy clear check in communication. The basic amenities like salt &pepper were available , make sure to pack your own coffee/tea etc… we would definitely return another day!
This cabin is very well located with a fantastic view on the mountains. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very small, but functionnal and well equiped. However, the communication with the manager was very bad. It brought along a lot of stress. I called her the day before arrival having not received the codes. She seemed annoyed and told me they would be sent the day of the arrival. By 4PM, time of arrival, the codes had still not been sent. So I called again and she said that they had been sent "ages ago", which was untrue. When we arrived, she was actually there in her car and asked us, without greeting us "are you lost?", The thing is, the address on VRBO and the actual address are not the same, but she told us "look at the text I sent you!", In other words, this is very nice place, but the stress brought about by not even knowing if we would have a place to stay dampens our enthusiasm for this rental.
Well appointed little cottage with amazing view due to proximity of Waterton area mountains and activities. All has been really well thought of, kitchen tools, bonfire and BBQ grill and kids playground. Nicely decorated with lots of creative ways tonuse the space. We loved our stay. Owner very responsive and accomodating of special requests. Cannot thank them enough
All in all, our little cabin was nice. A little drive to waterton park, and more than enough room for 2.
Bathroom was a little dirty when we arrived, and we had a few encounters with bugs both upstairs and in the dishware. Unsure why we needed to sign an agreement document...but left it behind with all the cleaning tasks followed.
Easy to find. Not many amenities nearby, and few in Waterton in the off-season.
Generally, I'd say we could've spent less on smaller, but enjoyed it, and the cows mooing us to sleep.
Thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and its location however was surprised by the abrupt nature of the information presented when we arrived and our brief phone conversation with the owner. The instructions appeared to have been written to protect the owner from the careless/abusive 1% of renters rather than to welcome the 99% who would respect and therefore would take care of the property. When we called the owner to confirm the entry code she sounded annoyed and not at all happy to talk to us. All of this contrasted with a note on the bed of the next place we stayed: "Welcome to your home away from home. We hope that we have provided everything you need for an enjoyable stay and that you will treat our home as your own while visiting us."
There is room for improvement.
We enjoyed our stay in one of 3 cozy cabins. Ours was the "Fisherman's cabin" and the decor all matched the theme. The area is quiet, and the views are gorgeous. We appreciated the air conditioning, and the comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed for a simple meal.

About the host
Hosted by Mary Scott = reservations mgr
We are an extended family on property homesteaded by Mary's Great Grandparents. Dennis and Mary are now grandparents to 25 Steve and Chelsea and their 6 boys and 1 girl are the builders and dreamers of this amazing adventure.
Why they chose this property
This Cabin is brand-new construction. Each Cabin is great for a small family. However there are 3 cabins that if booked together would be great for extended families for a reunion. We are only 15 minutes from Waterton Park and you cannot imagine the beautiful view of the mountains and the sunsets.
What makes this property unique
When you wake up in the morning, or when the sun is setting you will see the mountains for what they were intended-Majestic. The view is worth a million dollars, you will not find another one like it.
