Charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath two-story beach house with 180 degree views of the ocean, beach and pier.

NOTE: Improvements to this unit have been made since these photos were taken. The pictures differ a bit as new flooring has been put in, new paint, new beds, etc. New photos of this great space coming soon!

This light and airy beachfront home offers vacation memories in the making, comfortably accommodating 8. Downstairs is a well-appointed kitchen with granite counters, open living/dining area with flat screen TV, ceiling fan, pull-out sofa bed and bathroom with shower. Upstairs is a loft with futon, 3 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed, 2 with full beds, all with ceiling fans, bathroom with tub and shower and a full balcony to enjoy Oceanside's incredible sunsets. Our beach house provides WiFi.

Live entertainment, unique art and crafts, and delicious food options of every kind. Dinner and a movie? We have a Regal 16 right up the street and there are many restaurants within walking distance - Hello Betty Fish House, The Flying Pig, Local Tap House, Mission Avenue Bar and Grill, Bagbys Brewing Company, Masters Kitchen and Cocktails, Anita's Cantina, Harney Sushi, Cabo Grill and 333 Pacific. Take a fishing or sailing tour from Oceanside Harbor. Shop till you drop at the nearby Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Great vacation home for a large family!

Everything was great! This unit is literally right on the beach with great views and easy access to great beaches, nice parks, and the Oceanside pier. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and updated. Parking is a little tight but we were able to fit our large suburban in the parking lot. This is such a great home for a large family or would be great for a few small families or a bunch of couples. Master bedroom and loft have full beach views. We will definitely come here again. Thanks for a great vacation.

Will not go back

The location is great if you just want to walk along the beach. But the actual beach area where kids can play in the sand is at least a 10 mins walk (especially if you have little kids that want to lug all their sand toys). The alley to get to the car parking spot adjacent to the unit is very narrow. It was an ordeal every time we had to pull our mini van in and out of this spot. The unit does have a parking permit to park on the street behind the house but we never found any parking on that street. Also, trying to come down a steep set of stairs from the street parking in the dark with little kids is very hard.

The unit had bare minimum pots and pans with no matching lids. Hardly any tupperware that we could use to carry food to the beach. The worst part was they did not even have bare minimum things like cooking oil (there was a tiny bottle with very little left in it), salt, coffee or tea. Very very badly stocked kitchen compared to other homes we have rented in the past. We ended up having to buy a lot of things that we expected the house to have and did not bring with us.

The heater downstairs did not turn on when we reached the house. But Jayme was really quick to respond and the owners stopped by on Christmas day to help us with it. Hence the 2 stars. One of the downstairs windows would not close all the way so we ended up stuffing a beach towel in the slot to prevent cold air from coming in. I was aware of the kitchen not being stocked up from previous reviews but I also saw the response from the manager saying they are working on it. So I assumed they would have done something about the feedback. My fault. If you are considering renting this unit, ask them specifically what they have and what they don't in terms of oil, salt, coffee etc. Also, they did not have a non stick omelette pan or a tea strainer which was a pain 1st thing in the morning.

Owner's Response: I'm so sorry to hear that your experience was less than satisfactory. That is never what we want. I wanted to address your issues: -Typically there is plenty of street parking with use of the parking permit on the street just above the property, especially in the winter. We're sorry to hear that was not the case. Though the driveway is very narrow, as all driveways on the Strand are unfortunately, there is plenty of space to park there. -Unfortunately, we do not supply grocery items like cooking oil and coffee, etc. Apologies if that was not clear but our listing does not state that we providing grocery items. Those items must have been left behind by a previous guest. We have the basic kitchen equipment needed to cook and I always encourage guests to bring any specialty items they might need, like a tea strainer in your case. -The sand directly in front of the property has been washed away during the storms that have come and gone this fall and winter season. The City of Oceanside will begin the dredging process to restore the sand soon but luckily there is lots of sand and beach area by the pier which is right down the way. -I am so glad we were able to come to you on Christmas Day in order to light the heater. We definitely try go above and beyond as far as things like that are concerned as we like our guests to be happy and comfortable. Again, our apologies for any items that were not made clear however our listing is very thorough and states what we do and do not provide. We hope that you enjoyed the time with your family and the holidays.

Affordable, Clean, Reasonably priced, Centrally located

There were seven of us in our party. We all had a good time, and were taken care of by Jamie. I enjoyed our conversations, She made me feel confident in our purchase before we even got there. She was quick to get back to me each time I called and promptly took care of us. No surprises. Thanks Jamie.

A+++ all around!

We had the pleasure of renting Unit # 1 and 2 for our trip of four families. Although unit # 1 has plenty of room to accommodate eight adults and one child, we gave the extra studio unit to my cousin with the child for extra privacy. Condition of the house was wonderful, only thing I would suggest is to replace all the mesh screen on windows and doors. Parking for extra cars was simple also, we had a total of 6 vehicles (3 extra cars). Beach was 5 steps from your front door, pier was a 7 mins walk, plenty of food choices near the pier. Drive to Walmart was less than 10 mins if you decide to cook for yourself. Top it all off, Jayme, the wonderful manager, checks in with you throughout your trip. But everything went so smooth, I did not have to need to contact Jayme. I would go back again in the near future. Thanks Jayme!

Great location by the water

The house itself is okay, it could use some upgrades and the living space is small to have all 7 of us at one time, but can't beat the location. It was an easy walk across a not so busy one way street right to the water. Also just about 10 houses down there is a park and my kiddo loved that! That's about the same distance we had to walk to get to a sandy part of the beach (huge rocks right in front of the house) but like I mentioned it wasn't bad at all! Super close. Lots to do and people were really friendly.

We had 3 cars with us and we could only park one right on the property. The 3rd car was parked a mile or two away since we didn't need it the entire trip. The staircase up to the street above was convenient for our second car however it's really steep and dark at night (zero lights) so we just made sure to go really slow. The stair at the halfway point of the staircase has a cement stair that is easy to miss and even though I was being very careful, I missed it somehow and fell on my leg and I'm 8 months pregnant so it was very scary. I busted my leg pretty bad. When I went in the house and told my mother in law what happened she said that EXACT same thing happened to her the night before and she fell and bent her finger back but it wasn't as bad of a fall as mine. My biggest suggestion would be to put a motion light up there because it's VERY steep and VERY dark. I am not clumsy so I know it wasn't me, in fact I have never even hurt myself this bad in my life ever and I'm 30 years old!

Other than that the stay was fine! The back bedroom was used by my in laws and they just said because there was no dresser or closet it was kind of hard to live out of a suitcase especially if you had a long visit, so that's another thing to possibly change in the future :)

Jayme was very sweet and everything was super clear as far as directions and expectations. Overall we are pleased with the visit, just very minor changes could be made and of course the outside of the house isn't the prettiest thing to look at so hopefully that will be upgraded in the future as well!

The unit has recently had some nice upgrades like the brand new flooring upstairs and new beds and other elements like artwork and a few more bedroom furniture items will be added soon.
