This 3200-square-foot modern home has 4 en-suite bedrooms, each with a sweeping view of the forest and river 900 feet below. Built in 2010, this home takes full advantage of sustainable building techniques to provide a warm and comfortable environment for a large family and visitors. Floor-to-ceiling windows on the river side of the Cliff House provide unparalleled vistas while the slope assures privacy. The exterior rain-screen siding and all flooring are historic first-growth heart pine reclaimed by Mountain Lumber from a demolished factory in Georgia. Strategically located windows open to allow for natural ventilation when conditions are conducive, and all appliances are energy-star rated. The Cliff House sits on a 2-acre lot adjacent to the climbers’ access trail to the famous Bubba City climbing walls of the New River Gorge.
The combined open split-level living, dining and kitchen space focuses on the New River Gorge Bridge and outdoor deck with fire pit. The kitchen and dining area are elevated two feet above the living area to allow a full, sweeping view of the landscape.
The master suite has a wood-burning fireplace and sliding glass doors that open to expose the bedroom to the great outdoors and gorge views.

Fayetteville's Finest Vacation Rental Home!
We enjoyed the view of the bridge, the architectural details and furnishings of the of the house. Sarah, the property manager, was very helpful and accommodating. The whole family had a fantastic Thanksgiving! The only thing we missed was a microwave in the kitchen. Even so my granddaughter and daughter-in-law made us a delicious Thanksgiving feast! Highly recommend this vacation home.
An amazing Fall weekend in the beautiful, contemporary Cliff House: The view of the bridge and Gorge from the living room window took my breath away. The thoughtful architecture, window-placement, materials and furnishings all worked together to showcase the beautiful surroundings and to create a peaceful retreat. From the open concept kitchen, dining and living space to the memorable outdoor fireplace, it was the perfect space for a gathering with extended family. We were able to walk to great rock climbing and embark on scenic hikes right from the front or back door! The bedrooms and bathrooms were all well appointed - there wasn't a bad space. The kitchen is very well-outfitted, but there is no microwave oven. A perfect place for lots of home-cooking, appreciating nature and enjoying solitude. We will cherish the memories from our time at the gorgeous Cliff House.
A wonderfully designed home offering beautiful views of the New River Gorge and its iconic bridge. We were a family of 7 adults and we found the place to be more than enough space and well-suited to our needs. The home was clean and well-stocked with everything we would need for our stay and easily accessible to nearby adventures and sights. Working with Sarah at Wild Rock (through VRBO) was really easy and she made the process super simple. Our only regret is that we wish we had stayed longer to explore the New River Gorge and the Fayetteville area, as we feel we only scratched the surface.
Our stay at Wild Rock could not have been better. The house was beautiful and perfect for our group of 11.I had arranged additional cleaning services during the week so we really felt we were on vacation. I also arranged for a few meals to be catered for our large family by Jenny. What a gem she was-great food and so very helpful. Sarah the property manager was absolutely wonderful-for such a large number of people there were endless questions and requests-she was able to accommodate all our needs. There are a limited number of restaurants but all were kid friendly and in spite of all the rain there was so much for everyone to do-rock climbing, swimming.zip lining, boating and much more-the area is a kids paradise!
Our family gave this vacation a 10 and we would highly recommend Wild Rock
Beautiful house... our family had a wonderful week visiting New River Gorge and staying in the Cliff House. It's truly a spectacular property.
We loved everything about it. The home and the setting were spectacular. The quiet surroundings were wonderful. The home had everything and was spacious and beatiful. Would definately love to return.
Inside our community are 10+ miles of hiking/biking trails along the border of the New River National Park and our trails connect with the national park trails. We also have a pond for fishing/canoeing, a park with bocce court and grass area, several scenic overlooks and community fire pits. We are less than a half mile from Adventures on the Gorge (http://adventuresonthegorge.com) who will help you set up any number of outdoor activities: rafting, climbing, canopy zip lines. Adventures on the Gorge also has 3 great restaurants, a playground and very nice pool. Their campus is a great place to find food and entertainment without having to drive. Just a few miles away though is the town of Fayetteville with great restaurants like Pies and Pints for local pizza and beer or the Secret Sandwich Society for hand crafted sandwiches and burger.
