We are located on Abingdon Road, London W8, one of London's premier addresses, and near neighbours to William & Kate (and George & Charlotte) who have moved in down the road. Abingdon Road is a peaceful and quiet street despite being minutes from the centre of things.

If you do not know London well, the old mantra of 'Location, Location, Location' means a great deal in this city. Also look carefully at the size of your rental. Spending a week in a tiny studio apartment or even a small one-bedder can prove to be a little miserable. We are fortunate in being able to offer our guests much more room than most, plus a gorgeous terrace.

We are proud of our apartment; and want you to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible, so we have tried to think of everything. The apartment is located one up from ground and is the entire floor of a converted Victorian house. There is no elevator, but the 15 or so stairs are not taxing.

We have just installed a comfortable king size bed with a luxurious Hypnos mattress and we believe in providing the finest Egyptian cotton sheets, which get many a favourable comment from our guests. Even the large double sofa bed has the same linen and a top of the range mattress. The bedroom faces the gardens at the rear to ensure that even the lightest sleepers get a good night's sleep.

We have some great local restaurants (check out The Abingdon and W8 Kitchen) and a range of excellent supermarkets within a few minutes walk (Waitrose, Whole Foods etc).

You can also easily walk to High Street Kensington underground station (about 7 mins), the Royal Holland & Hyde Parks, Marks and Spencer, Kensington Palace, or just about any store that you might need.

We are also conveniently located for the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, the Albert Hall, the National Gallery and the principal sites of London (Buckingham Palace, the Eye, Theatres, The Tate, The Thames Walk etc).

London's newest museum, the Design Museum, has just opened a short walk from our apartment - with 10,000 square feet of spectacular space and a permanent collection (to which entry is free) of over 1,000 objects in a wide variety of exhibits from the world of architecture and design.

As a result most of our guests are regular visitors, often people who are staying for longer and find regular holiday apartments too confined. We are also very popular with honeymoon couples.

We are happy to provide discounts for single business travellers and those who wish to stay for extended periods.

We always provide a personal check-in so that we can orientate you to the area and help you plan the best way to make the most of your stay. And if you need us, we are at the end of a phone.

Our conservatory has blackout blinds the bathroom features a fabulous overhead rain shower. We also have a flat screen TV and DVD player, a printer and a desk full of London guides and information.

You may have heard that London has a cycle hire scheme - a great way to get around the centre (just ask Arnold Schwartzenegger) – and we have three docking stations within a couple of minutes walk

Plus we can help with cars from the airport, cell phones for your stay, theatre bookings etc.

Location, Location, Location

We stayed at this fabulous apartment for the New Year, not only is it superbly situated in Kensington, it is furnished with everything you could possibly need. I have never stayed in accommodation with such a well kitted out kitchen, there was everything I could possibly need to cook a dinner for the family, to celebrate the started to 2018. Mark was the prefect host, checking in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. We will certainly be back to stay again, we travel to London both for work and to see our son who lives close by, so this apartment could become our home from home.

Great location!!

My husband and I loved this Kensington Apartment. It was the perfect size with a large bathroom, living room and kitchen. The outdoor balcony was a great way to enjoy a cocktail or meal al fresco. Best of all was the apartment's proximity to several restaurants, shops, and markets. With our oyster card and the #9 bus we were able to get around to see everything. The washer/dryer was simple and easy to use. The kitchen had everything we needed for our breakfasts and occasional dinners. We purchased a superb salmon dinner at the take-out place next door. There were additional tour books in English and the large TV came complete with Netflix. We communicated with Mark and Sophia easily before the trip and Sophia showed us around the apartment when we arrived and even called us the evening before we left to check up on us. When we return to London we will definitely stay in this apartment again! It was just perfect!

Right off of High Street Kensington so many conveniences within a minutes walk. Nicely appointed and clean loft. Mark was great and very helpful, even checked in to see how everything was going.

Review of 15a Abingdon Flat

We stayed TWO weeks in early Sept 2017 and all I can say is that I wish I had discovered this sooner. We have been traveling to the UK/London for over 15 years and decided to live like Londoners by renting locally and just enjoying the city and the surrounding areas on a more leisurely pace. Sophia and Mark were the perfect hosts, as everyone before me has mentioned numerous times. That should tell you something. Knowing that we'd be exhausted after a long flight from the US, Sophia had purchased a number of items for us - coffee, breakfast food, essentials like butter and milk, not to forget the nice bottle of wine and champagne.

Kensington High Street Tube stop is just a few blocks away, as is the four-floor Whole Foods, Wait Rose and M&S so we purchased only what we needed each day, especially if we decided to cook in. Easy to do since the kitchen is well appointed with everything you need. But we also took advantage of the nearby restaurants (W8, Abingdon 11, Soho Society, Starbucks, and being from Arlington, VA where it originated, 5 Guys).

We read that the apartment had a washing machine so packed for the trip accordingly (i.e. less instead of more). I found the instructions for the washing machine, which worked just fine, and preferred to use the drying rack, so we never worried about running out of clean clothes.

I very seldom take the time to write a review or complete yet another survey. But we were both so impressed with this apartment and its hosts, we felt the need to say "yes, we, too, loved 15A Abingdon".

Immaculate Flat in Perfect Location

Perfect first impression as we were welcomed into a perfectly clean, fresh and well lit apartment. Wonderful to have a detailed tour with an explanation of how every thing worked. It looked and felt like we were the first occupants after a total re-model as everything was is such excellent condition. Absolutely loved the patio but I can't garuantee the blue skies and 65 degree weather we enjoyed during our stay - as an aviation enthusiast I loved drinking my morning coffee watching the international heavies and supers line up for final at Heathrow about two miles south of where I was sitting.

The quiet location couldn't be better as it's within minutes of outstanding eateries, great shopping and bus/underground transportation. We frequented the Waitrose supermarket which was less than a minutes walk. As avid walkers we loved being within 2 minutes of a gorgeous park, which of course led us to countless other parks nearby.

A small problem with the hot water tank highlighted Mark and Sophia's commitment to take care of their guests. After an immediate response to our initial request for help, Mark saw the issue through and ended up having to contact several plumbers before finding one who was able to come out on a Sunday--and all this in spite of being out of the country trying to enjoy their own holiday. I could not have hoped for better service!

Wish I could break the record of perfect five stars but the review will not let me give six stars. Enjoy your stay!
