Fabuleux appartement d'une chambre double dans un jardin près de la rivière à Battersea

Winfield House fait partie du complexe Battersea Village, juste en face de la Tamise. Situé dans des jardins matures et attrayants, cet appartement d'une chambre double aux dimensions généreuses a été récemment rénové dans un style classique contemporain. À seulement 200 mètres de la place branchée de Battersea, vous trouverez de nombreux restaurants et bars à quelques minutes de marche. Ou promenez-vous le long de la charmante promenade fluviale et traversez le pont Battersea jusqu'à Chelsea, à seulement 12 minutes à pied de l'appartement. Battersea Village est un complexe fermé édouardien spécialement construit avec ses propres jardins bien entretenus, où par beau temps, vous pouvez vous asseoir dehors avec un verre ou un pique-nique. Juste en face de nous, il y a un petit parc, y compris un court de tennis municipal qui est gratuit.
La gare la plus proche est Clapham Junction (la gare la plus fréquentée d'Europe!), à 8 minutes à pied. De Clapham, il faut compter 7 minutes pour se rendre à Victoria, Waterloo ou 35 minutes pour l'aéroport de Gatwick. Il y a un arrêt de bus juste à l'extérieur qui peut vous emmener à Chelsea, Pimlico et Victoria ou vers Roehampton. Il y a aussi un rang «vélo de ville» juste à l'extérieur. L'appartement dispose d'un excellent wifi et d'une télévision wifi. Il a également son propre espace de stationnement qui est disponible à un coût supplémentaire.
C'est un appartement spacieux et élégant pour deux personnes dans un immeuble bien entretenu dans un cadre attrayant et paisible, près de la rivière. Il est dans une excellente position pour tirer le meilleur parti des fantastiques installations à proximité. Il ne convient pas aux enfants, car il existe un certain nombre de meubles et d'accessoires en miroir / délicats qui ne résisteront pas à une utilisation négligente. Mais ce sont ces choses qui l'élèvent au-dessus de la location moyenne! Les clients doivent être âgés de 30 ans et plus et doivent agir en tout temps avec considération envers les voisins dans cet endroit calme et paisible! Réservation minimum de 7 nuits, deux personnes seulement.

Great little flat in a safe, gated community and in an excellent location. Frequent public transport on the doorstop to all areas of London. Plenty of opportunities to eat, drink and shop within a ten minute walk.

This flat is exactly as pictured. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. It is comfortable and has everything you need. We stayed for 2 weeks in September. The surrounding area is very pretty. Vicarage Crescent is a quiet street with easy bus access. We felt safe at all times. We loved staying there - it truly felt like a “home away from home”.

Very cute place. I really enjoyed the unique decor. The location is really great- lots of restaurants and cafes nearby as well as being in walking distance of Clapham Junction. Just a few minutes from the Thames which is also nice for a river walk. It’s a quiet neighbourhood as well.

Really great access to transport. A very quiet area . The river is across the road so makes for great walks. The flat was much larger than we expected.Would definitely book again when back in London.

Loved it!

I had such a wonderful time staying here. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and was a pleasure to come home to every night. The bed is extremely comfortable with nice linens, the shower water is nice and hot, and the water pressure is excellent. The owners are incredibly sweet, and were genuinely concerned that I had a good time during my stay.

I thought the pictures on the website looked amazing, but the flat is even nicer! great layout, amazing location and has everything you need to feel completely at home. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I would highly recommend this property and I will definitely be back! Loved it!!!

Excellent stay

Property was in every respect as described and we very much enjoyed our stay. Flat gets morning and afternoon sun. That, plus the investment made in decor made the flat a very pleasant space to be in. The proximity of the 170 bus and Gail’s bakery were big pluses as were local restaurants. We stayed 3 weeks and hope to stay again.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely flat for 2 weeks in December. Perfectly located, very clean, well equipped, bright and spacious. Felt like we were coming home each day. Comfortable bed and lovely bedding. I would definitely return. Nicer than the pictures

Better Locations

Attractive space but difficult for International travellers with heavy bags to negotiate to Need to be fit and lively to walk to local amenities and costs build up getting to London attractions. Probably great for locals who know how it all works.

Thanks for your review Joanna, albeit with a very disappointing rating. I was concerned and mystified when I heard from our apartment manager that it had taken you 5 hours to cover the 15 miles from Heathrow to the flat. This is a journey which takes 35-40 minutes (at worst) in a cab or Uber. We had to pay Gosia 3 hours additional waiting time for your arrival. She also helped you with your bags into the flat. I cannot understand the route you took for this, given that we do make recommendations in the arrival instructions. There is a 170 bus stop right outside our complex which can take you to Chelsea, Pimlico or Victoria Station one way or the other way to Clapham Junction (in 5 minutes) the busiest rail junction in Europe, which gives you access everywhere, basically. There are also 5 different bus routes that take you all over London accessible within a 5 minute walk, at Battersea Bridge. There is also a wonderful MBNA River Bus that stops 10 minutes away, and takes you all the way through London on the river...a relaxing, cost effective and fascinating way of travelling past the Houses of Parliament etc etc at modest cost. All this is covered in some detail in our comprehensive guide sent before your stay, and also in the folder in the flat. Nearly all our guests are North American, European or Australian, and please see their reviews to assess how they enjoyed and optimised the excellent location of the flat.

Lovely place to stay

The apartment was lovely … comfortable, well-equipped and beautifully-decorated. It’s in a gated complex and quiet. Close to bus and Underground and train services. It’s also within minutes of the Thames River Walk. Paul and Fiona are responsive and provide an excellent level of detail about the apartment and neighborhood. Thank you!

A week in London

Very well equipped london apartment. Check in was easy, very quiet location. 15 minutes to nearest tube but always a taxi available if required. Kitchen well stocked and a comfy bed. Rooms all a good size, we will definitely think about returning next time we visit London. Paul.

Battersea

Great central location to all of London, the 170, 44 and train all very easy to get to and use. The owner and his staff went out of their way to help us do to the timing of our arrival from Southampton to Battersea. I would recommend this as a excellent choice, it's a bit noisy due to the helicopter that comes and goes during the day, but very quiet at night considering it's central location.

Paul and Fiona’s flat was a wonderful place for my stay in Battersea. Comfortable, very clean, central quiet location and well equipped with mod cons. A folder with lots of advice was helpful. To summarise... 5+ stars!

Fiona and Paul Abadjian live mostly in Dorset, with their two cocker spaniels, Sophie (mother) and Guinness (her son!) and 14 alpacas. Fiona is an
independent corporate travel agent and Paul is a classic Jaguar specialist dealer and collector. They use all the properties listed on the Owners Direct site themselves, so they are furnished and maintained as proper luxurious homes rather than 'rental machines' They are therefore better specified and equipped than usual, and Paul & Fiona ensure that they identify and fix any issues they discover when they are living 'on site'. Living in each place also gives them the best opportunity to impart good local advice regarding eating, shopping, cultural aspects, transport etc.

It is rare that one can find a purpose built, generously-proportioned and luxurious
flat in a central London location designed just for one couple. It is tucked away from any road noise, and has recent double glazing throughout. The complex has it's own generous and well-tended gardens, giving it an unusual combination of space and serenity. The apartment is close to some fabulous amenities. It is a lovely place to base yourself if you like walking, as the river walk just by Battersea Village, gives access to wonderful and historic places without needing to resort to public transport or taxis if you don't want to. It is an oasis of calm in the middle of one of the world's great cities!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Whilst there are numerous brand new high rise developments on the banks of the Thames at Battersea, this complex has been where it is, set in its lovely gated gardens, for nearly 80 years. It has an air of peace and tranquillity about it, which the new developments, crammed onto their small plots, on busy roads, do not have. The flat itself, though only one bedroom, is a good size, so the bedroom is quite large, with a UK King size bed and has ample double mirrored wardrobes with lots of hanging space and case storage space for longer stays. There is an attractive eat-in kitchen, with all the equipment you would need for your stay. The sitting room is elegant and, again, a decent size for a central London property. There is a proper reception hall and a nicely styled and equipped bathroom. The flat is on the second floor of the building, and there is no lift, so you will need to carry your cases up the stairs. The location for local restaurants, bars, pubs, transport and river walks is really outstanding.
