Beautifully furnished beach cottage. Four large bedrooms and 5 baths.

Beautifully furnished three story beach cottage on coveted Cottage Lane with expansive views and spacious rooms. This home has a den and three large bedrooms and three private baths on the first floor. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed and one has two twin beds, each with a trundle bed. The third bedroom is a king. The second floor is open living space with gourmet kitchen, dining area, living room and powder room. There is a large, well furnished deck overlooking Cottage Lane and beach. An additional deck off the kitchen has a seating area. The Top floor is the Master King Bedroom and a spacious master bath with separate shower and tub. There is an additional deck off the bedroom and a large roof deck. The second and third floors are accessible by elevator.

The cottage has a well-equipped gourmet kitchen and plenty of eating space. There is an elevator with access to all levels and two sets of washer and dryers. We have central heat and air conditioning and several ceiling fans.

On the lower level, there is a storage room with bike rack, a beach wagon, several beach chairs, and cooler.

About Catherine Bennett

The owners, Cathie Bennett and Fred Frailey, currently reside in Edwards, Colorado and St. Simons Island. We formerly lived for many years just outside of Washington, DC. Cathie is a recently retired executive from Tyco International. Fred was the former Editor of Kiplinger Personal Finance Magazine and remains a free lance journalist. The owners have five grown children and four grandchildren.

                                              We had a wonderful stay during the month of March at this lovely home. The house had everything you could possibly need or want and was decorated beautifully. The rooms were all large and the different floors made it quite private even when having a lot of guests/family members visiting! The owner responded to every question or email promptly and her "house manager" was a dream to work with!

                                              The location of the house was great and very close to the beach and pool. We could ride our bikes into the village and it was close to restaurants, shops and grocery stores. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the house and our experience there.

                                              The house was perfectly designed for our group of 7 adults. We experienced uncommonly warm weather for late February, so we enjoyed every deck-rooftop to back porch. I, especially, enjoyed reading while swinging. The short walk to the beach and the pool drew us there everyday. We had breakfast in the kitchen every morning and dinner more than half the nights we were there. Our one suggestion would be to have more space provided for the food renters bring, since the owner is overly generous with kitchen supplies. Thanks to Kathy for her warm welcome.

                                              After 17 years of owning a second home on SSI this is the first time renting a place after selling our home in July. What a awesome experience the place was just beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was to the beach and views were incredible.
