About Kim

We used to live in New York and New England before moving to the Lake Norman area in 2004. It is a perfect location for year-round living or a vacation get-away. The warm weather attracted us to the area, and now the rest of our northern family loves to visit us here. There is always something to do, but it is also a great place to unwind & relax when you need to.

Why Kim chose Lake Norman

The lakefront condo is an ideal spot to enjoy the lake and all it offers -- while also being only 20 minutes from Charlotte and major sporting events. Even closer to shopping (outlets) and local colleges. It is also less than an hour to wineries, and hiking (which we still love to do!). We live 10 minutes away from the condo so are always available.

Perfect Location and Property

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Kim and Tim's during the solar eclipse. Perfect views and location (with our special glasses, of course). We took our sons to a few of the local breweries, which were in close proximity (Primal and Ass Clown). Both were very good and worth the trip (we liked Primal the best). We also rented jet ski's for a few hours to tour the Lake - perfect way to see everything. The condo is in the perfect location - it is very quiet and laid back. Very close to Port City Pub, which was very good - we had dinner there three nights!! We also liked the convenience of the golfing and shopping in the area. Kim and Tim's house is very well maintained and had everything we could want or need. Thank you so much for all of your hospitality - everything was very easy!!! We look forward to coming back again. Tammy, Dave, John and Nick.

Great location; great place; great time

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here for a week while visiting the Charlotte area. The condo was great. Very clean; everything you needed in one convenient and comfortable location. Morning tea/coffee on the patio looking out on the water was one of our favorite things. Thanks to being at the end of the harbor, you don't have any noisy boats (everything is idle speed for about 300 yards). The Port City Club down the walkway was convenient when we did not want to cook. We also took advantage of the included boat slip to rent jetskis (77 Watersports) and spent a day touring the lake. Short drive to anything else needed made this location perfect. Would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting relaxation along with the convenience of being close to Charlotte. Thank you for a great time!

Perfect Place to Relax & Explore

  • 5 of 5

5 of us slept like babies on very comfortable beds. The view of the lake was breathtaking. Kim & Tim have the Condo setup with everything you need. Easy walk to Port City for a bite to eat, shopping right down the road. If you have a chance go north to visit Richard Childress Vineyards it is worth the trip. Great tour and great Bistro. Can't wait to bring my husband out for a visit. Wouldn't change a thing!
