Great condo, cold floors.

The condo was awesome. The location was great, with a short walk to the village. I do not recommend walking in ski boots to and from the village, but snowboard boots were ok.

I should have brought slippers, the wood floors while awesome were also kinda cold. (First world issues).

Check out time at 10am. I am sure is convenient for the cleaning staff, is not ideal for the rest of us.

Swanky little pad.

The wife and I spent a couple of nights here and really enjoyed it. They decor is more like a downtown loft than a traditional mountain condo filled with cheesy wildlife nicknacks, which was pretty cool. The place is well appointed and the bed was really comfortable! The only complaint is the check-in/check out times, although we did get in closer to 3:00pm rather than 5:00.

Small & Stylish

  • 5 of 5

This was a short trip for just my husband and I. The decor is really cool and the place has a modern vibe and is on floor level so there are no stairs ;) The bed has an electric heat blanket. Everything is clean and in perfect working condition. All the lighting has dimmers so the place is on the dark side unless you up the dimmers. There is no fresh air though to be had because the windows and the patio are enclosed (maybe it is just a winter precaution to keep the snow out); So you have to open the front door for that. My husband and I both got itchy on both nights. We are not sure if it is from the heater or from one of the throw blankets. If you are there for winter..wear socks as the floor throughout is very cold... Brrr

From the Village the place is located a couple of blocks behind so it is walking distance. The gondola at the Village is free there. The other gondola located at the Main lodge (a short 5 minute drive) is NOT. Also, the buses are free so you can hop on the bus and travel around which is very cool for getting around.

Mammoth Reservations is the company that does their managing / renting. They DON'T mention during your payment process that you are going to HAVE to leave a $500 security deposit upon arrival. So, note that you must have that much on your credit card extra or cash. We have booked with other management companies before and they don't all do this.

So overall, the place is really cool and you would enjoy your stay!!!

Owner's Response: Hi Sheryle, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay in that unit! I'm sorry that there was a miscommunication about he security deposit. I noticed that you had booked through VRBO. In order to rent, there was a box about the cancellation policy and security deposit that you had to check in order to continue with the reservation. Also, we did send you a deposit confirmation after the reservation went through where it explains that we hold a $500.00 security deposit. We apologize that you did not know of this before you checked in and hopefully next time there won't be any confusion. We hope to see you again soon!

Nice home in Mammoth

  • 4 of 5

The place was very nice and clean. The kitchen had all the required utensils and the bed was very nice. The home is a little bit on the darker side though which we actually didn't mind. Parking is not covered so make sure you take a snow scraper if it's snowing! Also be careful to double check your vrbo quote to what you get charged. Vrbo ended up quoting me one price and I actually ended up getting charged more for the trip!

Owner's Response: We've reached out to VRBO as to why there was a misquoting and we were informed that you were given the correct grand total prior to booking. I apologize there was a confusion. If you don't receive a confirmation 24 hours after booking, please make sure to contact us. We are glad you enjoyed your stay, next time book with us directly so we can give you the total break down of your cost to avoid any future confusion.
