We typically do not rent Friday without Saturday. Do not send a reservation request for 1 night weekend stay without injuiring first. Thanks.

Beds-on-Bull is in the trendy hipster neighborhood of SoFo. The South of Forsyth district is just that - the area south of Forsyth Park up to Victory Drive. We are the location of the 'Best Coffee House in Savannah - Foxy Loxy', Back in the Day Bakery, Elizabeth's on 37th, Green Truck Pub, The Florence , Blowin' Smoke Restaurant, and more! We have 2 Bedrooms: 1 King, 1 Queen, and a Queen Sleeper Sofa.

Our fabulous 1500 square foot home (circa 1902) is located in the heart of the SOFO district directly across the street from Thomas Square and one of Savannah's architectural gems- the Bull Street library (circa 1913). It is very spacious with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a great room, laundry, and a full service kitchen. A complete renovation was completed in 2015 including all new plumbing, AC, electrical, insulation, fixtures and furnishings. So you need not worry about your comfort or safety. (Many of Savannah's older homes have very old electrical and plumbing and zero insulation- so this is a definite 'upgrade'!)

LOCATION: The SOFO district is the area south of Forsyth park. It provides a taste of true local culture in Savannah. SoFo businesses take pride in creating foods and products that are handcrafted and unique. A must-do for any Savannah vacation and worth supporting by locals. Come enjoy this wonderfully quirky area of Savannah that also includes the Starland District and Victorian District. SOFO has been written up in the New York Times, Southern Living, and Delta Sky Miles Magazine. We are 2 doors down from the Foxy Loxy Print Shop and Cafe : a hot spot for local art students where they sip coffee in the morning, graze at lunch, enjoy bakery items in the afternoon and party in the courtyard at night! We are also 2 doors from Butterheads Cafe, with great vegetarian delights. Also within a 2-3 minute car ride are Elizabeth's on 37th, The Florence, and Back in the Day Bakery. Of course a 3-5 minute drive will get you to the heart of the downtown district. Or you can walk about 10-15 minutes straight down Bull Street to Forsyth Park and then take a free shuttle throughout downtown.

ACCOMMODATIONS: One bedroom has a king sized bed, the other has a queen bed. Additionally, the sofa in the great room is a queen sleeper sofa. T There is a dining table that seats 6. Each bedroom has a 42' flat screen TV and the great room has a 55' smart flat screen TV. By local ordinance, a 2 bedroom dwelling CANNOT rent to more than 6 adults. You can however have as many children stay as you'd like:)

PARKING: Ample off street parking provided.

About John and Rocel Lindsey

This property is owned by Steve & Lenell Dufour along with her son, John Lindsey amd his wife Rocel. Steve is a UGA graduate, Lenell is a University of Texas grad, and John graduated from Georgia Southwestern. John is the property manager. Lenell is a retired teacher (USA Newspaper Teacher of the Year!) and Steve is soon (hopefully) a retired hospital pharmacist. John and his wife have an adorable 2 year old son that you might see pushing a broom. Steve and Lenell live in the Landings on Skidaway Island about 20 minutes from the property. John lives in Pooler, about 10-15 minutes away. Steve was born in Maine; Lenell in Louisiana.

John and Rocel Lindsey purchased this house in 2014

Why John and Rocel Lindsey chose Savannah

We just finished a complete renovation recently . ALL new everything! Plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, furniture, kitchens, bathrooms , parking area, etc. Like a new 1902 house :) So the condition is perfect. We love the location for people watching the Savannah College of Design art students who attend class 100 feet away and love to frequent Foxy Loxy Coffee House 90 feet away. Butterhead Greens Café is also just 70 feet away. This is also a great location if you want to do more than just walk around downtown - like access Tybee Beach, Wormsloe Plantation, Bonaventure Cemetery, and Skidaway State Park. We really encourage you to see more of the surrounding area - the scenery is breathtaking once you get out to the low country tidal rivers, creeks, and marshes.

What makes this house unique

Free bike excursion at The Landings on Skidaway Island with 40 miles of paths, lots of wildlife, and stunning marshes.

Great house!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a mother/daughter get away. The house was perfect! Great beds, linens, well furnished kitchen, comfy furniture! Clean, great location and the owners are quick to help with anything you need! This is close to everything! The only thing I could even possibly suggest is perhaps a house manual to run heaters/ac and location of some stores close by. We throughly enjoyed our week in Savannah.

Absolutely beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

This was a quick girls get away...The property just as beautiful as the pictures. All the little extras were a really nice touch. Great location! We will definitely rent this property again and next time will include the upstairs unit.

Better than in the pictures..

  • 5 of 5

I really can't think of any complaints. I read a few reviews about being able to hear the noise from the upstairs rental but like those reviewers, it was noticeable but by no means a deal breaker. The photos attached to the rental ad don't convey the large size of the bedrooms very well... they're quite larger than the pictures depict. Clean and well appointed. Quiet neighborhood. This was my first time visiting Savannah, so on my next visit I will be bringing my bike along..(bike lanes as large as car lanes!)

Only issue we had upon arrival was parking in the rear... and that was remedied by Rachel very quickly.

I did visit the Foxy cafe a couple doors down... and the breakfast quiche was soo good.

I would definitely recommend ... and depending on how many accompany me back next year, this place will be the first place I check for availability.

Silly quibbles: I prefer the toilet paper roll to dispense from the top and not the bottom. I didn't realize there was a nice selection of dvds on a shelf in the bedroom 'til the last day. I walked out to the car only wearing socks and the rocks hurt the bottom of my feet. That is the best I could come up with for negatives...

**if you have allergies, you may want to pack a few pills during the season. I think there was some yard maintenance being done at the park across the street and it bothered me one of the days**

Comfortable Stay

  • 5 of 5

We came here for a wedding and needed a place that would be comfortable for my parents and daughter. This house did not disappoint. Looks better than the pictures, plenty of room and close to everything. Yes, you can hear everything from

the upstairs unit so if you are a light sleeper then I would take that into consideration. Other than that, no complaints. I do have a suggestion- a full length mirror would be a great addition for us girls who like to see what we look like before heading out ;)

Fabulous Place, With One Caveat ...

  • 4 of 5

We wish we would have been able to spend more time at this beautiful property in Savannah, but we were just passing through on our way home to FL from NYC. A spacious interior, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and elegant decor all made for a great stopover. However, and I know this doesn't happen all too often in Savannah, the overnight temperatures were in the 30's that night, and the heaters, which were placed high up near the ceilings, did little to take the chill out of the air. Unfortunately, we spent the night shivering, even with ample blankets provided. Again, I know this may only be a concern for a limited time of the year, but perhaps providing a couple space heaters, at least in the bedrooms, might make January stays more comfortable!

The price reflected on SPECIAL OFFERS for the Spring of 2015 is due to a noise concern in the lower unit. It has been reported that footsteps can be heard when people are walking upstairs. We cannot fix this until the summer - so we have lowered the rates due to this problem for those that may not be bothered or go to sleep later at night. PLEASE keep your discount in mind when reviewing - because we ARE letting you know in advance.
