Tifton, GA - Shalom Guest House - Cabin in Peaceful Setting

This 800+ square foot cabin is located in rural south Georgia away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Fully furnished, all you need is to get here. WIFI and smart TV, EVCS, fire pit, gas grill, pool table, and catch and release fishing are awaiting your arrival. Sit on the swing under the elm trees and enjoy watching the barn yard animals. It's an easy drive to town, I-75, US 82, and restaurants and small town shopping. Golfing and historic museum close by. An easy drive to Moultrie for events at Spence Field, or Adel for the motor speedway events.
For pet owners, please communicate with us first before assuming your pet is a good fit for us. We generally only take small to mid-size dogs. Big dogs and their toenails are pretty hard on our floor!

Please note that your pet is not automatically accepted. We will ask a few questions first to see if your pet is suitable for our place. Then if accepted there is a pet fee of $25 per pet. Please contact us first if you have a pet you wish to get accepted.

Check in is after 3 PM, Monday-Saturday. SUNDAY check in is after 4 PM. Check out time is 11 AM.

Cozy Dog friendly cabin. We arrived late and slept well in a comfortable bed. The cabin appeared to be well stocked and the property is wonderful. The pond is very large. I was able to give one the goats two boops on its nose. Our dog is recovering from a knee surgery and the host was responsive to text and even accommodated or need for keeping our dog calm. We were able to text when our dog was going out for walks so that she didn’t get too excited seeing their pup on its walk. It was an ideal overnight stop for our drive to S Florida.

Peaceful

The cabin was so peaceful right on the pond. We enjoyed resting and watching wildlife. A duck jumped in water every time we opened door and we found out why she was on the deck.

Very nice and relaxing stay. 15 minutes away from interstate but that’s very nice if you want a quiet peaceful stay on a pond with ducks and beautiful barn swallows and chimney swifts. We weren’t there long enough to fish but that would have been fun to do too. Loved it!

Hank and Margaret have been taking care of travelers for over fifteen years now. With a clear understanding of 'southern hospitality' we want to make you feel at home as quick as a wink. Both of us are ordained ministers with a small church in town. We won't bother you except you may see someone in the yard at times or Hank as he heads to the barn to feed the animals and gather the eggs.

Why they chose this property

When we remodeled a few years ago, we made a nice pond house for fish fries, children's parties, etc. Then the kids all scooted away to college and careers leaving us with not just an empty house, but an empty pond house too! It is just too peaceful and comfy to let it sit idle so we decided to offer it for others to enjoy. Our guests are always glad they find us. You will be glad too.

What makes this property unique

If it's peace and quiet you are after, look no farther. The swing under the trees is pretty much a no brainer. Read a book, pet a spoiled cat, catch a fish (then release), watch the ducks, or just let the breeze blow through your hair. This is the place for you.
