Located in the heart of downtown Water Valley MS, a 2 minute walk from the critically acclaimed kitchen at the BTC Old Fashioned Grocery, and just a 20 minute drive to Oxford, MS and the Ole Miss stadium.

Great location to stay when recording at Dial Back Sound

Really convenient location. We had thought we would need to get a hotel in Oxford, but this was perfect and super close to the recording studio. Everything we needed for a couple of nights and great communication.

This property was adorable. What a clever renovation of a historic building. My room was comfortable, spotless, convenient, and THE BATH...I want one just like it. I will always stay here when I visit the area. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Excellence and gentility

The Blu-Buck has as much graciousness as charm, and the place has loads of charm. Hardwood floors, luxurious beds, high celings, claw-foot bathtubs, thick--n-rich bathrobes, impeccable cleanliness----the list of pleasant attributes goes on and on. No praise of the Blu-Buck comes near to complete without lauding the proprietor, Kagan, whose personal warmth and attention to guestly detail stands unsurpassed. Open, clever, warm hearted and lighthearted, Kagan welcomes visitors with sweet elàn and earthy panache.

Blu-Buck Mercantile Hotel in Water Valley, MS

Great experience for a one-night stay. Room was fully equipped with flat screen TV, WiFi, stove, frig, dishwasher, cooking and eating utensils, and thick bath linens and robes. There was even a French-press coffee maker! Since the hotel is located downtown, there are nearby coffee places as well as the BTC restaurant and the Yalobusha Brewery that features tastings. Heads-up on one thing: There are about 25 stairs to climb to access rooms, so pack lightly! All in all, would highly recommend Blu-Buck and I would definitely go back!

Incredibly repurposed hotel

This place that was clearly some form of other building has been made/remade into a very nice, convenient, and gorgeous place to stay. Wife and I loved it, 20 minutes from Oxford, and if we're ever in the area again, this is the first place we'll look to stay.
