There's no work to be done or meetings to attend in this ‘White House'! The luxury vacation home known as 'The White House' is located in WaterColor - one of the most beautiful beach towns along Scenic Highway 30A! The home is located just two blocks away from WaterColor's Resort Shopping and just two blocks from the BoatHouse where you can rent YOLO boards, kayaks, and other water sport goods. The home itself offers plenty of outdoor patio space and a modern interior.
Inside the home, you will find mid-century modern architecture characterized by flat planes, open spaces, and an artistic approach to modern living quarters. The home is separated into two living spaces - a studio and the main house - providing a perfect setup for guests traveling with in-laws who would like their own quiet space. Guests must use the outdoor stair case to travel between the two portions of this home.
The first-floor studio is an architectural masterpiece with a modern interior and an open floor plan. All the necessities are accessible inside this studio including a full kitchen, a living room, a Queen bed, and a full bathroom. All the appliances and furnishings are sleek and modern, emanating an air of sophistication. The custom bed extends from the wall as to not break up the fluidity of the design. It is separated from the kitchen by a free-standing wall and can be closed off from the living area by curtains. The studio also has a private access to the covered porch overlooking Crimson Park.
Guests will take the outdoor staircase to get to the main house where they will find three Queen bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room with a sleeper sofa. The main house sleeps 8 and is also fitted with two and a half bathrooms. The bedrooms are each fitted with a flat screen TV and closet space. The Master suite has its own en suite bathroom with a standalone shower.
The kitchen and living area of the main house have large windows to let in the sun and brighten up the already bright and open space. The kitchen is equipped with a mini fridge, a four burner electric stove, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a table combined with the kitchen island to seat 2. Additional seating is available on the living room sofa, or an 8-person dining table can be found back downstairs in the studio portion of the home.
Outside, all the guests can enjoy the porches with such distinguishing features as a Koi pond and outdoor curtains for cool nights when the wind brings in the gulf breeze. All guests will also love ‘The White House Tower'! This home has its own looking tower on the top level where guests can take in panoramic views of the beautiful WaterColor community. Covered off street parking is available for 4 cars and street parking is available for three cars. The laundry room is located in a separate room outside the home, right off of the covered parking area.
*This home is located in The Park District, which offers guests a quiet atmosphere, picturesque surroundings, and proximity to community amenities, grocery stores, and of course, the beach!
*Guests wishing to rent a golf cart for use during their stay should do so by contacting the Electric Cart Company well in advance*

This is a very strange layout for a vacation home. (or any home!) 5star described the home to us before we rented, so we knew what we were in for.
**Pros: 2 blocks to the beach and beach club pool, wine bar, shopping. Management company is professional and nice. Kitchen is well stocked. Small park beside home. Rates are lower than most in WC. The home was clean. 4 bikes were provided.
**Cons: The biggest negative for us: this home is not conducive to any family bonding time. The main living area is separated by an outdoor flight of stairs...yes, you have to go outside to go upstairs. It was difficult trying to decide where to put the kids. You really have no choice but to separate everyone. There are no "cozy" areas of this home to just hang out with your family and friends. Since the main floor bedroom is in the middle of the kitchen/great room area (with no walls), there is zero privacy. And the bathroom is a good distance away from the bed. This area also lacks storage for clothes (no dressers, no hooks, just 2 closets in the small bathroom with limited hangers). The sofa is not comfortable...reminded us of an airport sofa. You don't want to sit here to watch tv. The upstairs bedrooms have pocket doors, but they don't close all the way, so there is no privacy. Speaking of privacy, the park on the side of the home is nice, but it does get used quite a bit by the neighbors and their pets. You can't leave your blinds up since the bedroom is in the middle of the main floor. The beds are all queen and very firm. There is only one private bathroom and that is the one connected to the "master" bedroom upstairs. (and this room is also tiny....see photos.....all beds are tucked in between 2-3 walls).
*If you're looking for a great value and don't enjoy spending time with the people you rent with, then this home is for you! All joking aside, if you have great weather, you will end up spending the majority of your time outdoors. We got a great rate....and as the saying goes...."you get what you pay for". AND: "location, location, location"!!
First let me say Five Star Properties was the best management company I have dealt with and I did not speak to them about this property on the phone before renting it. What you should know: queen size bed in the living room/kitchen with no walls on two sides-they count this as a bedroom, you have to go out doors to go upstairs to the other 3 bedrooms, not good if you have little children because if you are downstairs you cannot hear them at all because it is like a motel where the stairs are on the outside, in the morning you have to go outside, down the stairs across the porch, to the side walk to the garage to get to the door with the code-very wierd in your PJ's because everyone can see you, very contemporary. That being said it was well equiped and the managment company came out within an hour to change a light bulb and fix a tub/shower. It is just a very strange layout and I wonder why it was built this way. It was on a nice street close to the beach with a green lawn right next to it for kids to play.
