Beautiful 1 bedroom home that is perfect for your So Cal stay!

Our lovely home is wonderfully located on a quiet cul de sac street in one of the prettiest and safest towns in Ventura County. Newbury Park, an unincorporated part of Thousand Oaks, is situated a bit east of the Santa Monica Mountains which allows it to benefit from refreshing Pacific breezes. The residential neighborhood is just off the Borchard Road exit on the 101 freeway. It provides easy freeway access as well as walking distance to shopping, markets and restaurants. It is 1 hour north of LAX, 2 1/2 hours from San Diego, and 1/2 hour to Malibu. For those who love the outdoors, there are lots of hiking and biking trails nearby. Although the home has 2 bedrooms, we lock off the primary bedroom and offer the other large bedroom and 1 bath to our guests who will enjoy the rest of the home exclusively during their stay. (Meaning no other guests will be at the property while you are there). The home has laminate or wood floors throughout; a lovely country kitchen with slate counters, back splash and stainless appliances; a gas fireplace in the living room; floor to ceiling French doors and windows and recessed lighting which make it bright and airy. Outside, you will also enjoy beautiful views of the Santa Monica Mountains, a stone firepit as well as a stand alone fireplace where you can thoroughly relax both day and night. There is also a private courtyard entry with additional seating and a couple more fire pits that enhance the feeling of being on a secluded retreat. The home is fully stocked and ready for you to relax with all dishes, cookware, basic condiments, and linens. All utilities, cable and high speed internet are included in the weekly rate. An additional $150 every two weeks will be added for longer stays to cover housekeeping services which are required. The bed is set up as a very comfortable King but can also be separated into two twins if desired.
The home is not suitable for children under 10 years of age. Pets, service animals and more than 2 guests are not allowed. However, the house is perfect for a couple or a single person visiting SoCal for work, during a home remodel, or as a hotel alternative while visiting friends or family. No smoking of any kind is allowed in the house or within 10 feet of doors and windows. Many of our guests love the house so much that they return year after year. We hope that you will come and enjoy the unique haven which is our home!

A home away from home!

My husband and I have stayed at Andrea and Joe's house for two years in a row which speaks for itself! The home is decorated lovely and there's a warm feeling all throughout. We loved the fireplaces and hot tub! I can't say enough about their hospitality! With our children living in CA we rent often but by far this home is everything we needed to accommodate our stay. The Perfect Experience!!!!

I have had occasion to stay in VRBO's several times and have never experienced anything like this beautiful home. The owner was so caring about my experience, and stocked the home with everything I could hope for. Unlike past experiences, where I arrived to find that there wasn't even soap, Andrea provided all the essentials. The home itself, was so lovely...spotlessly clean and put together with so much care and taste. Unlike other homes I have rented where I had the definite feeling that the furnishings and dishes, etc, were just overflow items from the owners own home, this home was put together with beauty and comfort in mind. The location was perfect...nestled in a lovely quiet neighborhood with great shopping nearby . I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Andrea, for being the one to do this right!

Very pleased with our stay.....

We stayed at Andrea's house for a little over a month while we were waiting for our home purchase to close. Our original plan was to stay in a Marriott suite, but this was definitely a better option for us. The house is beautiful and had all of the technology and other amenities that are necessary for a longer stay. We were able to work from "home" (when necessary) and go about our normal lives during our transition. The home is beautifully decorated and is fully upgraded. The courtyard and backyard are well maintained and are perfect for a small party or BBQ. During our stay we met several lovely neighbors on our evening walks and truly enjoyed the peaceful and safe neighborhood. We had a very pleasant stay and are now settling into our new home in the area. Although the house is smaller than we are accustomed to (our children had to share a room), I think it actually brought us closer together as a family. We are grateful to Andrea and Joe for their hospitality and for opening up their home to us during our move. Sincerely, Paul and Janine

Beautiful place for a good price!

Arrived and Andrea met us at the house and showed us around. Everything was very clean and well laid out. The house was beautiful inside with a massive master bedroom and ensuite bath. Huge jacuzzi tub with in-wall fireplace you can see from the tub or the bed is very relaxing. The back yard was very nice and set up for entertaining with a nice hot tub (which heats up VERY quick though we usually kept it cool) several nice gas fireplaces and tiki torches. Basically it was a great stay with a great host and I'd go back in a heartbeat. If I had to think of a downside it would be that the decor is mostly religious(Christian) and while it was totally fine for us maybe some people could be off-put. 5/5 for sure though wonderful house.

My husband and I purchased this home in 2000 after our youngest child left for college. Since we married at 19 and 20 years of age and began having children shortly thereafter, we wanted this home to be all about us so we renovated it with every luxury we could imagine (and afford) in mind! People who visit our home fall in love with it. Even people with much more extravegant homes than ours! They like it because it feels luxurious without being dauntingly huge. We encorporated as many natural elements as we could; utilizing solid hardwood flooring and lots of stone both inside and out. Aside from our kids and grandson, it is our pride and joy and we hope that whomever stays here will enjoy it as much as we do.

Super convenient to almost anywhere. Weather in this area is lovely much of the year. Great neighborhood and neighbors. Easy freeway access, shopping, entertainment and restaurants and wonderful central location for business or vacationing.

What makes this property unique

This home was designed with comfort and luxury in mind. It is super easy to maintain and all the drought tolerant landscaping is on timers. It is perfect for the person or family on the go as well as to entertain in with the many fire and water features. It doesn't get much better than this for a small home!
