We met at Gemology school in San Diego, CA and found that we not only fell in love but shared the same passions for life. We chose to be jewelers by trade but we are designers by passion. We settled down in the Santa Barbara area and began to raise our two boys Ozzy and Cash. Being on an eternal search for the perfect place to live we just had not found it yet. Eric, born and raised in Mississippi and I in Idaho, Eric often spoke of this magical town in Tennessee called Leiper's Fork that he had visited as a teenager. We finally came for vacation July 4th, 2014 and I promptly fell head over heals in love! We were sitting out front of Puckett's drinking Ne-Hi soda watching our boys faces light up with joy as they chased the fireflies. Leiper's Fork chose us in that moment. Without delay we purchased our home on Joseph, now the Tin Roof Cottage, returned to Santa Barbara and moved here 20 days later. We never looked back, we now reside just 1 mile away from the Cottage. We are currently raising our boys in this marvelous community and we welcome you with open hearts. Warmly, Eric, Samantha, Ozzy and Cash
Samantha purchased this cottage in 2014
After falling in love with this street and it being where we bought our first home in the area, the opportunity arose to gain this home, we could not pass it up. We are grateful to be able to now offer Pickers Cottage as a place for you to enjoy your stay in Leipers.
Pickers Cottage provides you with a unique opportunity to become immersed in a Norman Rockwell painting that has come to life. You will love getting lost in this great community but still have easy access to the city of Nashville and downtown Franklin.
Samantha was very responsive and helpful to any and all questions/requests I threw at her and the home was perfect for our needs. I was there with 2 of my teenage children and oldest (25) daughter for vacation and there was plenty of room for everyone! An upstairs sitting area with TV (3 apple TV's throughout the house), and a spacious master with big bathroom and huge closet. Huge new washer & dryer. The house looks like it came right off the pages of Country Living magazine. Front porch for sitting. Fire pit in the back yard stocked with wood. Easy walk into the adorable town of Lieper's Fork with great shopping and great music at Pucket's. Would definitely go back again.
We escaped for a girls getaway weekend....this home provided a sweet respite for busy moms and wives to relax and unwind. We would highly recommend this cottage and can't wait to return next year!
We had a wonderful stay for our annual girls weekend. This house is decorated so beautifully and had us all wanting a design consult at our own houses! It was a comfortable place to stay with a well stocked kitchen. Easy to walk into the small town, where we loved shopping and eating. Beautiful countryside. Highly recommend!
My wife & I had the pleasure of staying in Pickers Cottage for a few days while visiting Nashville on a combination business & pleasure trip. The house is located within a couple of blocks of the quaint little business district of Leiper's Fork which was very convenient for my wife to walk to & explore while I was in Nashville during the day. It is also a short drive to the restaurants & shopping in Franklin so the location was perfect for our needs. We utilize VRBO quite often & the owners of this property certainly upheld the high standards we are accustomed to when using the the VRBO service. Wonderful house in a great location with helpful owners...what more could you ask for??? We can't wait to make our next trip up & hopefully be able to stay at Pickers Cottage again.
If you choose Leipers Fork as your destination, you won't be disappointed with Pickers Cottage's location. Just steps away from the "center" of town, there are restaurants and art galleries, music and pastries! We chose Puckett's to cater a family meal and with the exception of one small (We're so sorry) omission - the meal was well prepared and because of the abundance of space in Picker's Cottage it was easy to host our family.
Every detail was in order from the nice toiletries in every bathroom, the comfortable master bed (only one we used) with clean duvet and quality sheets to the pretty white dishes in the kitchen.
The shabby chic decor was welcoming as was the "requisite" front porch complete with abundant seating. All in all, a perfect few days at Christmas. By the way, thank you Samantha for the beautiful decorated tree and the welcome gift. Bongo Java is always a favorite.
If I had to say one thing - it would be nice to have more light (perhaps motion detected) at the back entrance. Other than that one small item, Picker's Cottage is a lovely retreat
I have just completed a wonderful time of fellowship on our Girls trip to Leipers Fork and Franklin. Our party of five stayed in the Pickers Cottage in Leipers Fork. The cottage was spacious, ideally located, and clean. It is located in a great neighborhood and we felt safe and at home. Samantha is a great host and had the cottage perfectly prepared for us. We loved the restaurants and shopping that was only blocks away. Country Boy Restaurant, Serenite Maison, The West & Company, The Distillery, were just some of the places we visited. Staying at the Pickers Cottage was a good decision and I would highly recommend it.
If you're looking for something unique, you've come to the right place. From 200-year-old antiques to fine art to one-of-a-kind people, Leiper's Fork is a rare find for visitors and locals alike. This is a magical place that once visited you may not want to ever leave. Take a stroll through the village and you will marvel and the fantastic shops that are at your doorstep. Puckett's offers live music almost every night, don't forget that scoop of ice-cream on the hot summer day. The Natches trace is just a few miles down the road, calling for a lazy drive. Head up the trace to the famous Loveless Cafe for a meal you won't soon forget.
