Centrally located and set just back from the harbour front on a quiet non-thoroughfare street, the penthouse offers calm and yet allows you to fully appreciate Marsascala’s seaside location and its traditional life-style making for a perfect relaxing holiday for the whole family.
A butcher, baker, mini supermarkets, locally caught fresh fish and vegetable stalls are all just 5 minutes on foot, meaning that a car is not needed for everyday necessities.
A large open air children’s play park with an impressive array of activities for all ages, a sports centre and indoor swimming pool can all be reached within 10 minutes on foot.
The bus terminus is just nearby, with comfortable, cheap air conditioned buses linking you regularly to the whole island and notably lively and colourful Valetta, Marsaxlokk and its Sunday fish market and the historical 3 Cities.
The penthouse is fully equipped and finished to a high standard combining simple elegance and practical functionality that includes efficient and silent inverter technology AC units in each room that can also be used for heating in the colder months.
It is extremely light and airy and comprises a large open plan kitchen / dining / sitting room area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms each equipped with generously dimensioned showers (the master bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom).
The beds in each bedroom can be arranged as either a large king-sized double bed or separate 90 cm x 2 meter twin beds. The beds' orthopedic mattresses are extremely comfortable. Duvets, bed linen and towels are all supplied. The apartment’s master bedroom is large enough to add an extra child’s bed or cot if required. A folding (5th) bed is provided suitable for a small adult or child. An infant's high chair is also available upon request.
The “island” kitchen has been thought out so that it will be a pleasure should you prefer to stay in and dine al-fresco on the terrace admiring the evening view over the harbour. The all-electric kitchen is equipped with oven, microwave, induction hob, hood, toaster and kettle and of course a dishwasher to make you feel at home.
In addition, there is a clothes washing machine, clothes drying rack, iron and ironing board and hair dryer.
There are two terraces and a balcony at the front overlooking the harbour as well as two large terraces at the rear providing a choice of shady sitting areas at any time of the day.
You will find a fast internet connection as well as an Android box and TV so that you can pick up most of your favourite channels.
A very pleasant and wide promenade running along the waterfront around the bay with its numerous restaurants and bars is particularly agreeable for an evening stroll.
Along the way you will come across designated cordoned-off bathing areas with direct access from the rocks via short ladders. The water is crystal clear and its temperature is most welcoming from late Spring through to late Autumn. Nearby, St Thomas’ Bay with its sandy beach can be reached by a 5 minute bus ride and is ideal for young children.
A number of watersports such as scuba diving, sea kayaking, sail and motor boating, fishing are all to be found in the region.
For those interested in history, Valletta, the 3 Cities and the megalithic temples of Tarxien are all within 10 – 20 minutes by car.
The one thing you will be short of is time to sample everything on offer.
The airport is less than 20 minutes away by taxi and we will happily organise an airport pick up or car hire upon request.
It should be noted that the penthouse being on the 3rd floor without a lift is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility. This being said, the stairways are wide, airy and very easy to climb.
