The fall is a special season at Lakeside Manor. The cooler weather in the fall and coloring leaves invite our guests to venture outdoors! Enjoy a nice hike around the lake or on the trail along the creek at the bottom of the ravine. Fishing and boating are as good as ever and also great pastimes during the fall months. And of course nothing can quite compare to a crackling camp fire as another brisk day comes to an end.
The winter season brings another opportunity for our guests to get away from it all and cozy up with family and friends in our 5,000+ sqft home. The spacious bedrooms and living area offer many options for group games and activities. Of course if there is snow on the ground, younger guests will love the many hills to sled and the numerous acres to explore and build snow forts. If it is a cold winter the 6 acre pond will completely freeze over providing more to be marveled and enjoyed. Too cold to go outside?…stay indoors and enjoy the pool table, large flat screen TV with many channels, and the one lane regulation size bowling alley! Also there are quite a few attractions in the area that can be visited year round including the largest Cabelas in the world, The Yuengling Brewing Co (the oldest brewery in the nation), Roadside America (largest miniature village in the nation), Christmas Village (people come from all over to see the lights and decoration from Thanksgiving on), and much more. See our description below for more information…
The summer season here is full of many opportunities! The long tree lined driveway leads to the 5,000 square foot 1960's stone cape cod. This 30 plus acre property is truly a step back in time. Upon arrival, there is little need to leave although the surrounding area has much to offer for anyone's fancy. The most impressive feature of this vacation home is the 6 acre private lake. Guests will see the lake when entering the driveway but it also wraps around the back of the house leaving plenty to be discovered and explored throughout your stay. This is considered a small lake but would be a very large pond. Another very unique aspect to this property is the basement which is over 1,500 sq ft. The basement offers a 2nd kitchen with bar area, elevator access, a large walkout patio area, large stone fireplace and a pool table. The most unique area in the house is the full sized, one lane, old fashioned bowling alley. Bring a personal pin setter along because this bowling alley is "old school" but works perfectly for all day fun no matter the weather outside! Lakeside Manor offers 7 bedrooms with beds for over 20 and 5 full bathrooms. The 30 acres is a combination of green grass, the lake, a creek that runs though a wooded ravine (great for children), a very small stream and farm land. There is a balcony, two patios, an indoor porch, all with great views of the water and the mountains a few miles away. The old dock has been restored which is perfect for all things lake related. There are many fish in the lake! Bring fishing rods and guests will be sure to have a blast catching bass, perch, crappies, and blue gills a plenty. The lake has a steady decline from the bank and gradually deepens to around 20 ft in the middle. There is a nice shallow area surrounded by shade trees that works well for the younger swimmers. We have a few boats/kayaks for guests to use during their stay. Feel free to bring your own boats as well, whether they are for our small lake or for Blue Marsh Lake just minutes down the road. (Bring motor boats and jet skis for Blue Marsh Lake, not for use here).

Beautiful spacious home!
We were a group of 10 adults and 6 children getting together for a college reunion and found this beautiful house to stay in. The house and property were better than the pictures and worked perfectly for our group of friends and babies. There was enough space for all families to have privacy. Lots of room for babies and children to run around and play. Kitchen was huge and open to the living room and dining room and allowed for everyone to be together with still plenty of room for private space as well. The kids loved running up and down the bowling alley and certainly got lots of exercise! Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay and we hope to be back again sometime!
Beautiful home and beautiful grounds
We and two other families, a total of six adults and eleven children, had the privilege of staying at this beautiful, secluded home for an extended winter weekend that we will never forget. The home was everything we had hoped for and more. The pictures, while pretty, do not capture the beauty of the house, the grounds, the amenities or the lake. Although we stayed here in the dead of winter, the home was very well-heated, and provided more than enough space and privacy for each family. The kids (and grown up kids) were thrilled to play ping-pong, pool, bowling and mini bowling, and then run outside with the beautiful frozen lake as a backdrop. The owner of the property, Jesse, was a pleasure to work with, and we cannot wait to come back and visit this amazing property soon.
Perfect for our family reunion. Just right for the 15 of us.
So much to do at the house.
Skating, sledding, cooking in great kitchen, bonfire with smore's, relaxing in main floor living room, pool, ping pong, bowling and more downstairs and even dancing with a guitarist and Flamenco dancer we hired for the evening - for my Mom's 80th.
It was a magical weekend for all of us!!
Beautiful property; outstanding vacation
Phenomenal property and the perfect vacation house! My family stayed here the week of New Year’s and we all had an incredible time. We are from Miami and we’re hoping for a “white” New Years. We got what we hoped for and more. The property is absolutely amazing and has so much to offer. The house is beautiful and fully stocked with everything you need. The downstairs room has a bowling lane, pool table, ping pong table and large tv. It kept us all entertained night after night. The property is huge and has a trail to follow around the huge pond. We walked around the path everyday and enjoyed bonfires outside. We were hoping for snow and got plenty of it and the children enjoyed hours of sledding down the hills right on the property. We could not have asked for more. This was a vacation of a lifetime. I highly recommend this house.
Clean, bright, wonderful
Our group of friends stayed here for a girls weekend and we were all impressed (to say the least!) lakeside manor has everything you need and is set up perfectly for larger groups. We will definitely be staying here again!
Thanks for taking the time to review! We’re glad our property had everything you needed and worked well for your group of friends! Please come again!
2nd stay..even better than last time
The home was perfect and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Didn’t realize the grocery stores were so close by! The lake obviously is a stunner and we also loved the firepit outside. Will come back again next year!
Thanks for the review! We’re glad it was a better stay your second time around! And yes, there are two smaller stores within a few miles, but in 15-20 minutes there’s pretty many more!
Thanks and please come again!
