Thanks again for renting me the unit last month. Melissa and I had a great time in Cape May and loved staying on a winery. It was a beautiful sight to wake up to each morning. We absolutely loved our stay

Newly renovated rental cottages in a great setting made for a uniquely memorable experience.

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed at two different rental cottages at Willow Creek in the past year, and both have been great experiences!

The owner is renovating several units on the property and making them available to the public. Even though they were built in the 1800s, the properties have been renovated in a very modern style. There are only a few units, so it doesnt have a "rental property" feel to it. It feels more like a home away from home. Its nice to roam the winery property and stay in a home-style location in the Cape May tourist town.

The units are very recently redone, so there are a few things that need to be completed to polish them up, but overall they are wonderfully done. The bathrooms are large and have high-end finishes, the kitchens have granite counter tops with high end appliances, the furniture throughout is new, the beds are comfortable, and the flat screen TVs are a nice touch. There are vintage 1800s original touches throughout the unit - like refinished original barn doors, including a half-door in our bedroom to open in the morning and awake to the birds chirping, and an exposed red-brick fireplace in the living room.

Since the units are new there are some things that still need to be done. There is still some light construction dust outside, and there needs to be additional small kitchen items included - like trash bags, more silverware and plates, and we would have preferred a keureg coffee maker instead of the old fashioned style.

Overall, our two stays have both been exquisite. I highly recommend staying here. The beautiful walk from our cottage to the winery was a HUGE plus. We walked from our unit last night to comedy night at the winery and had a delicious cheese plate and a fine bottle of wine. Tonight we are going back for tapas and sangria!

Thank you for everything, we look forward to coming back soon!

A magical setting, tucked away yet close to all!

  • 5 of 5

Having vacationed at the Jersey Shore my entire life, I would never have envisioned adding to the enjoyment and beauty by staying on a vineyard! On top of all that incredible Cape May has to offer, Willow Creek is a crowning jewel. The well-appointed and comfortable apartments are brand new inside; fresh, stylish and immaculate, but it is all about the views of the vineyard right outside your door. The proximity to all the hot spots and cool tucked-away niches of Cape May, coupled with a short stroll through the vineyard to the fabulous Winery make for a magical vacation spot!

I wouldn't return

We are staying in Apartment A on the Winery property and I can't recommend the accommodations, at all. For starters, just a basic thing like the door lock, doesn't work! If we want to leave to enjoy the beach or the winery, we can't lock the door!! Additionally, the stove couldn't be used (this was corrected), the coffee pot couldn't be used (this was corrected with a teeny, tiny 4-cup pot), there is an incessant drip outside the bedroom window ...day and night!! The kitchen is inadequate. There isn't even a pot large enough to cook pasta and, surprisingly, you're staying at a vineyard and they don't even have wine glasses for guest use!! There isn't a comfortable chair or couch in the entire apartment; the a/c is a ductless wall unit over the TV so if you want to watch TV (perhaps the Olympics?) the a/c is blowing on you the entire time. No place to eat. We had to bring a table and chairs in from the porch in order to have meals in the room. They are very proud of the "decor" which consists of useless vases, carved "aquatic" paraphernalia and lots of mirrors in an effort to make the place look bigger than it is but there isn't even a dresser or bureau in which to put your clothing and no bedside table or lamp on one side of the bed. And, if you don't like spiders...good luck. I killed two big ones in the first 24 hours! Tell the owner, Barbara Wilde, "do away with the chachkies and make the apartment livable and usable for your tenants." On the plus side, the grapes are growing right outside the front door so you can literally sit "in the vineyard" to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.
