Great cabin and wonderful hospitality
Picturesque little gem in the woods by a babbling brook
Beautiful, quaint cottage
The area is breathtaking. The bathhouse was further than we had imagined from the photos but not so far that I was uncomfortable with it!y husband and I had a great time and will definitely be back!
Beautiful, private cabin
What a delight to stay at Fern Hollow. The cabin is beautifully situated down a gravel path by a babbling brook. The workmanship is excellent with an artistic eye and attention to detail. Loved the wood stove for keeping things warm and comfortable.
The bath house is up the path. A wall heater and nice warm shower made it very comfortable.
Wish we had more time at the cabin to enjoy the fire pit and to just relax in this beautiful setting.
A charming and adorable cabin (I'd give it 4 1/2 stars, but didn't know how to do a half...)
We really enjoyed our stay at Fern Hollow cabin. Jan, the owner, has added so many charming touches and it was utterly pleasant. The cabin itself is quite secluded, and is compact and totally cozy. We throughly enjoyed everything about it. Especially wonderful was waking up in the morning and looking out the huge window at the surrounding pines. There is a charming old-fashioned (looking...I actually think it is brand new) wood burning stove in the cabin, and we would start a fire and catch up on the news, etc. each morning on our cellphones, as we lay in the super comfy bed and sipped coffee. Though there is not a complete kitchen in the cabin, there is a sink, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a toaster. Right outside the cabin is a private fire pit, and we enjoyed a fabulous, roaring fire every evening. The bathroom is a little walk away from the cabin, but it was very convenient, modern and pristine clean. It had a wonderful shower! There is hiking and fishing EVERYWHERE around, and the biggest decision each day was which trail we'd conquer. All in all, we loved our stay at Fern Hollow, and would definitely recommend it if you like to be cozy and warm with the one you love!
Beautiful private cabin in idyllic setting. Perfect for couple or single child family looking for a slice of Alaska atmosphere.
Gorgeous cabin, helpful owners, friendly dogs, best decision of our trip.
Cabin and bathhouse are beautiful and well constructed. Owner responds quickly to messages and is very helpful. Dogs are sweet and I consider them a bonus. Don't eat at the Trail Lake Lodge, my girlfriend got food poisoning from their breakfast sandwich. Our only complaint is the shower had occasional cold bouts (5 to 10 seconds).
