            When you arrive at Casa Calypso in this quaint neighborhood, you will immediately relax in the chill vibe of this airy, light filled space. Kick off your shoes, grab a cold one and go for a swing in the hammock. Plan your trip to the beach, under a 30 min drive away - play, swim in the surf, sunbathe.
            Or go for a stroll along the bay; just a 20 minute walk to water views. Enjoy a seafood dinner downtown; a 10 min drive away.
            Return to your private sanctuary and relax, rinse (off) & repeat!

            Under a 30 minute drive from house to beach. 10 minute walk to bay front, 5 more to kid-magnet Cole Park. 10 minutes to Downtown, 15 minutes to attractions Concrete Street Ampitheatre, Whataburger Field, American Bank Center, Hurricane Alley water park, The Lexington, Texas State Aquarium. 10 minutes to La Palmera Mall and many restaurants. 30 minutes to N. Padre Island, 40 minutes to Port Aransas. Bus stop is one block away.

We had the best stay, great location central to everything. Very artsy decor which we loved and the house was bigger than we thought. She has a true talent for interior design! Perfect family vacation

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful home. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We slept great!!! Kitchen was well equipped to make family meals and even to bake cookies. Was perfect to be able to work remotely while there as well. We would definitely plan to stay again on the future. A weekend away

An unique and quirky little property... a great older home with a ton of artistic touches. Brenda was an excellent hostess and she ensured to not make her presence known during our stay. It was a wonderful place to stay and all the amenities made it a comfortable spot for our family to gather.

Lovely Stay

The home is exactly as photos show. Lots of interesting art, books and photos. Plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. Comfortable beds, nice shower and linens. Felt safe in the neighborhood and the location was perfect for our planned activities. Overall, a lovely stay.

Quick stay in corpus

Overall the location was great and the host was helpful but the decor was very strange with lots of nude images and the main bedroom smells very musty. Otherwise we definitely enjoyed our stay and being so close to the coast.

Great accommodations, good location and terrific property owner.

Well-kept property both inside and out. Beautifully decorated, homey, cozy and private. All the comforts of home away from home. The owner was easy to talk to and gave my sister and I wonderful tips as to the best shopping and nearby restaurants with yummy food and restful atmospheres. We highly recommend Casa Calypso!

Great visit with Granddaughter

This was the perfect place for us to come and see our granddaughter. The house was very comfortable, great location/neighborhood and Brenda was very accommodating . A big plus was that my husband is on a walker and she had a shower chair. I would definitely recommend this home.

Fun cottage

We were in for a big dog show downtown so this location was convenient. Our host was gracious. She does live behind the house in a casita but met us and then left us to our visit. The house and yard are beautiful, very well decorated.

Fun place to stay while in Corpus! House is interestingly decorated- a lively blend of mid-century, art and antique. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. A cute patio and yard is fenced and nice. Neighborhood is centrally located and quiet. Host very accommodating.

Secluded, peaceful, open and airy. Quaint neighborhood excellent for walking. Great for artist retreats - writing, music, etc., or a central base for exploring our wonderful Corpus Christi!

What makes this property unique

For the price of a (mediocre?) hotel, you can stay at Casa Calypso, a little bit of magic in the heart of Corpus Christi. From the moment you enter the front door, you will feel the peaceful vibe. I have created a private sanctuary of a house that I'm now sharing with travelers with an adventurous spirit. The backyard is truly a hidden delight; relax under the pergola or do some power-lounging in the hammock. Summer nights out there are entrancing. Or just sit on the couch in the a.c. and watch the birds out of the super-sized sliding glass doors. Prepare a meal in the open kitchen while visiting or watching TV. Have a romantic meal in the dining room surrounded by original art. Practice yoga or stretching in the big open front room. Or brush up on your piano playing skills on the baby grande.
