About Susan Prickett
Our children grew up loving this special place at Wrightsville. We have spent many great family times at our cottage and have also rented it to many new friends who share our love of the house and come back year after year.
Susan Prickett purchased this Cottage in 1978

Great spot for a family vacation.
One of best family vacations. Steps away from the beach. Spent most of our time on the wrap around porch rocking on the rocking chairs and playing bean bag toss. The house was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Central AC was a must have with the Carolina heat. Would definitely stay here again.
Charming and Relaxing vacation
We absolutely loved Wrightsville Beach. This house is cozy and charming with fabulous ocean views. Quick access to the beach. Comfortable accommodations with plenty of gathering spaces made for a wonderfully relaxing vacation. I would recommend this location for anyone looking for a wonderful beach vacation!
We planned a vacation around our daughter's graduation from UNCW. We couldn't have chosen a better property for our visit to the Wilmington area. It's location, it's accommodations, it's furnishings and it's overall comfort. Steps to the beach, ample parking, expansive porch and room for our entire family. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely beach cottage. All the comforts of home.
A wonderful place
My family stayed at this home and included 4 adults, 3 children. It was very comfortable and served as the meeting spot for extended family (staying in other places in Wrightsville Beach) to hang out and eat meals. This was up to 24 people and we never felt crowded. The location was perfect, the porch was great for comfort and entertaining, the parking was plentiful, and the furnishings were lovely. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach, town, and the overall relaxation. While the house wasn't super fancy, its not dowdy or run down by any means and it was fully equipped. We appreciated the unique and original character versus some of the cookie-cutter designs so prevalent in beach towns.
Wonderful beach house for on- or off-season!
We stayed at this beautiful, historic, (but modern) large beach house during the week after Christmas 2016. It was a great location - 2 properties away from the beach - so a short, easy walk and just a few blocks from the little city center of Wrightsville Beach. We were visiting with two adults and 4 kids - all over age 15, so it was a perfect arrangement with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen was simply wonderful - everything we needed to eat-in most meals, along with some condiments and spices - pretty rare from what we have seen in many stays at various beaches. The house has a lot of personality and it was great to find the hidden storage places after our Ghost Tour in Wilmington. There is lots of seating in the main area and the little table by the window was perfect for early morning coffee. The hammock on the front porch and even the lovely rockers got used because it was a very mild-weather week. Susan was very kind to us and helped make our getaway a real success. Heartily recommend for vacationers!
Beautiful beach home
I stayed at this home with my family and there was plenty of room for all of us. The huge wrap around porch was a great place to sit looking at the ocean talking with family. Within walking distance to downtown. The house just had great vibes and I can't say enough about this property not to mention the owner was very accommodating.
