Quiet and peaceful.

  • 5 of 5

The Studio Cottage is very nice and has all the amenities you could want. Beautiful vase of fresh cut flowers on the table and water in the fridge to greet us.

Fran and John are very nice and friendly hosts. We were treated to bagpipe playing at dusk and one night their daughter played a penny whistle. Beautiful.

We treated ourselves to a kayak tour of the pond while there and just enjoyed the quiet surroundings.

While there, read Bob's book. It's a great read about an Irish family's struggles.

We have nothing negative to say and hope to return there again some day.

Relaxing and quaint cottage in idyllic setting

  • 5 of 5

Fran and John were absolutely wonderful hosts! They made us feel like family right from the start and gave us great tips for local activities for the holiday. The cottage is in a perfect location- beach is super clean, water calm and wonderful and the use of the kayaks and boats was amazing. John is a most talented musician and we LOVED hearing the bagpipes in the evening. He is a wonderful storyteller and had us laughing almost every day with his stories. They included us in a family lunch and we got to see why everyone loves the Newman’s in this little town! We could not have asked for a more perfect, relaxing vacation and hope to visit again.

Lots of nice touches, like coffee, cream and bottled water in the kitchen. It’s a beautiful spot, and we loved kayaking every day.

Nice property.

Very friendly owners. Enjoyed the bagpipes at sundown. Great little kitchen area with nice size fridge. Complementary bottled water was a nice touch. Only negative was we ran out of hot water in the shower after only one shower each day.
