Very nice place, this is our 2nd time staying at the house. We had a few hic cups but Whitney took care of everything and it worked out. I would stay here again.

Very quiet and calm neighborhood. The property could use a deep clean as the floor and trim was dirty, there were crumbs in storage areas, along with aluminum foil covering holes in the walls. The door entrance was very confusing and host did not send check in information until 1 hour after check in

Needs to be deleted

Host would not answer messages are would answer late. There were no wash cloths and host said she would bring them and never showed up.It was very dirty. Hair was everywhere. Mouse droppings down stairs.I have never had such a horrible experience at a VRBO property. My daughter had appts at Mayo. Her and her husband had to clean just to stay.I can’t say enough about how disappointing and upset I am!!

Great Location

We were visiting from Kentucky and this location was perfect for going to Mayo. Everything was within a short distance and easy drive. There are tons of parks and we spent time fishing, went to Mall of America, and enjoyed eating at some great restaurants. The neighborhood was peaceful and house was clean and affordable. We didn’t really use the basement and just wanted comfortable and safe place to sleep. No complaints, simple little house, perfect for what we needed.

Comfortable, Quiet and Conventionally Located Near Mayo Clinic.

Like our previous stay at 1303 Retreat a few years ago, this home was once again comfortable, quiet, and served as our home away from home, fulfilling our needs. We appreciated the home’s close proximity to the Mayo Clinic and its location across the street from a Catholic Church.

Nice stay.

We had a nice experience. While the home is older and in need of some more TLC, some of the upgrades they have made were very welcomed such as the main level bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house was very clean and we very much appreciated that. The neighborhood is very quiet and convenient to everything in Rochester. Thank you for a very pleasant stay in Rochester.

Comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay. We were in Rochester for a family reunion, so spent a lot of time away from this house. We have a couple of safety issues that should be addressed. First is a railing of some kind at the entrance. My husband and I are both in our 80s and could have felt safer with a railing to help us enter and exit the house. The other issue was there no safety bars in the tub/shower in the upstairs bathroom.

Comfortable

The house was overall great for us. I told the host that there are only 2 patio chairs, the rest had rips in them and needs to have pest control called. There were ants, earwig’s, and we seen a centipede (yuck) in the house. Neighborhood was quiet and friendly. I would stay at this property again!!!

We were very happy with this quaint home. Very nice neighborhood and convenient location to groceries and restaurants. Well stocked kitchen. Was very nice to be able to do laundry.

Nice neighborhood but the house needs to be cleaned...

We stayed in this house for 11 days in early January. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood and easy to find. The location to Mayo Clinic is good as well as access to grocery stores. I also appreciated the host's responsiveness when I reached out regarding the access code and the need for a shovel and additional salt. Unfortunately, we found the house to be unclean, unorganized and in disrepair. On our first night in the home my asthma was triggered due to the excessive amount of dust in the home. In the morning of our second day, we purchased Swift cloths and vinegar to clean the home. All the heating grates, door and window casings were covered in a thick coat of dust. Plus we cleaned the floors (vacuumed and mopped), sinks, faucets, kitchen cupboards doors, and bathroom fans. We also organized the kitchen. This house could be really cute if it was cleaner and had a little TLC.

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay here. Just four of us. Only one bathroom is accessible to all three bedrooms The second -walk in shower bathroom is downstairs. If you have any walking handicap it’s impossible to use. Nice kitchen with everything we needed to cook for the week. Whitney was quick to respond during the week.

Clean & Convenient

We chose this as opposed to a hotel as I was having surgery at Mayo and my husband needed a place to stay for over a week. It was convenient to the hospital and shopping. It was clean and just the right size but could use a little sprucing up. Would stay there again if needed.

The 1303 Retreat is a cute and cozy home in an amazing location in Rochester -- it's safe being next to a school and a church, it's 1 mile from Mayo Clinic, and very close to Target, Walmart, gas stations, and many other locations.

-Complimentary K-cups, creamers, sugar, and coffee filters will help you start your days off right during your stay! A Keurig and full-sized coffee maker are both available to you.
-Our dreamy, super comfortable mattresses and pillows are fully encased in waterproof, dust mite-proof, allergy-proof, and bacteria-proof protectors. The mattresses have an additional waterproof mattress pad on top of this. The pillow protectors and mattress pads are bleached with the sheets after each stay, and the comforters are washed as well. You can sleep well knowing your linens are clean as can be!
-A Pack 'N Play with clean sheets (and an extra set!), sippy cups, children's utensils, and a high chair are in the home for your use. Even the most spirited children can use all of the bowls and plates, as they're shatterproof and microwave safe. :) We have three young children of our own; we know the importance of this!
-All bedrooms, the living room, kitchen, and one bathroom are on the main floor. For accessibility reasons, note the laundry room and second bathroom are in the basement.
