• Seaside home, 2 BDR, 1 B house 1400 ft2 /130.8M2. Just 10 minutes from Coronado and about an hour from Panama City. This artistically designed house has a “Gaudi” flair and is just 9 steps from the property down to the beach. It is fully furnished --equipped with a stove, fridge, ACs in bedrooms and living/dining room, 3 covered terraces, ceiling fans throughout, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, 2 double beds, patio table and chairs, BBQ. Washer/dryer premises. Sorry no pets or children under 6. Max 4 for occupancy. I have my own well so when houses, condos and even whole towns are out of water, mine is still flowing.

• Includes utilities.

Casa Palmar (CP) (formerly called La Casa Chica) 2BDR 1B (1400 Square feet) Monthly rate $1600/month. Negotiable for longer terms. $700 per week with a one week minimum. Inquire for availability.

May be rented in conjunction with the other rental on the same property- Casa Tarzana $1000/month. $550/ week. One week Minimum Available Jan 21 onward. Please note that the pictures in this ad are for Casa Palmar the larger house, which is directly in front of the ocean. Casa Tarzana is smaller in size and has an outside kitchen between the two rooms. It has a bit of an ocean view and is located on the other side of the property.. Just 8 steps down from the edge of the property, your feet touch the warm tropical sand. Low tide affords you long walks on the beach.

• El Palmar is good for surfing, boogie boarding, paddleboarding and kayaking. Tarzana's Beachfronts is an eco-oriented property.

About Kristie De Dobaño

I hail from Delaware, USA. I am an artist and retired educator. I spent 25 years here in Panama as an artist and educator teaching Kindergarten. I raised two children during that time, then in 1999 went to Okinawa, Japan to work as an art teacher. After 14 fascinating years in Asia (teaching, hiking, diving, traveling, etc) I retired and returned to my beloved Panama. I currently live on this same property. A manager takes care of your needs and I am there to help too :) I continue to paint, scuba dive, hike, do yoga and walk the gorgeous beaches of Palmar. I will be offering art classes here in my studio home here in El Palmar. I am never bored with all that nature and God provides for me here :)

Why Kristie De Dobaño chose Panama

When we bought this property in the early 80s, we were looking for a place where our children could enjoy the ocean and all it offers. We loved the ocean and wanted them to love it too. It was a mass of jungle with a lot of tall Bahia grass. My husband and I used to come at the beginning and dig out the very tall grass so our children could walk in on the property. Eventually we built a bathroom, then added a camper. Next we built a storehouse, shower and covered patio so we could remove the camper. In 1999 I built a small house that I named La Casa Chica. It stayed the same until this year when I renovated it-- and doubled its size. Now it is no longer CHICA!)

What makes this house unique

Spacious Living and Dining Area, Hammock to Enjoy, Dvd Player for Those Days You Want to Chill Inside, Unique Bathroom With Shells Imbedded in the Walls, and Curves All Over the House- not many Straight Lines! (Gaudi of Barcelona Inspired a Lot of What I Did With This House and With the Two Houses On the Property :), Dead End Street-- So No Through Traffic.

A Pair of Yellow Head Parrots Come Visit Sometimes, Then Fly Away Leaving Parakeets to Chirp Their Tunes. I Have Lime, Tamarindo and Mango Trees That Are Fruit Bearing. My Mangos Are Some of the Best I Have Eaten Here! I have a Moringa tree and you are welcome to harvest some leaves and flowers for your ingestion.

Our newest addition is an iguana feeding station. A few come in the mornings by the seawall to munch on fruit and veggie scraps.

“One Month in the Paradise”

This is really a Paradise! We stand in September in the Casa Quica and we must say it was perfect! The Guesthouse is great,and there are all equipments what you need. From the Veranda you have a nice view to the ocean and the distance to the beach is only 20 mts and you can swim every day in the sea. The Kitchen is kompletly with a wonderful maritime design and the 2 bedrooms. the bathroom and the big living room also. You have a TV, a DVD-player, a WLAN-Router, a laundry and a dryer. There is also a open car home The nice Garden and the house are very clean and the owner is a very friendly and helpfull artist women. Nearby only 300 mts you find 2 goods restaurants, 1 directly at the water. Only 500 mts is the Panamericana highway and at 10 km you find the great supermall Coronado with a lot of supers, shops, restaurants etc.

Home sweet home

Casa Palmar is the perfect place to get away from it all and still feel like your home. The location is away from the hustle and bustle but still minutes away from all the amenities (restaurants, shopping, etc). With the ocean and beach just steps away, what more could you ask for. The Casa is well equipped in the kitchen and the TV and wifi internet are very dependable. Kristie; the Property Manage, is just a call away and quick to respond for what ever you need. Chrisse; the owner, is right next door and full of local knowledge of places to see and things to do, plus she is a talented artist.

We spent 3 months here and could not have been happier.

unforgettable visit

It was an unforgettable visit. The house is in a beautiful location. It is not possible to live closer to the sea. Everything matches the description.

They really pay attention to the care and maintenance of the property and we felt really safe there.

We especially like the consultation. Lina gave us really good caring and helped us out with every open question we got. Everything worked without problems. A big thanks goes to Lina and above all to our landlord Chrisse.

She helped us really out.

A good friendship was born.

We would like to recommend this house to others and are pleased to see again.

ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt

Es war ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt. Das Haus hat eine wunderschöne Lage. Man kann wirklich nicht näher am Strand wohnen. Alles entsprach der Beschreibung.

Es wird extrem auf die Pflege der Immobilie geachtet. Wir fühlten uns auch sehr sicher.

Ganz Besonders fanden wir die Betreuung. Linda hat uns fürsorglich empfangen und stand uns für alle Fragen zur Verfügung. Alles funktionierte reibungslos. Ein großer Dank geht an Linda und vor allem, an unsere Vermieterin.Sie hat uns in vielen Belangen sehr geholfen.

Eine schöne Freundschaft ist entstanden.

Wir werden dieses Haus gerne weiter empfehlen.

Pure relaxation

We were there from March 21 to 01 April 2016 in this beautiful holiday home.

It was a very relaxing holiday and the house was beautiful and in a very good location. The beach right outside the door and the breakfast at beautiful sunrise made it perfect. Panama City can be reached in around 1.5 hours by car and the nearest large supermarket can be reached in just 15 minutes.

A three-day trip to the San Blas Islands ended our great holiday in Panama.

We say thank you and will definitely go again.

A 40 minute drive from here will take you to the lovely mountain town of El Valle which has many different activities and sights to see. The drive to El Valle is a scenic hilly road with many fruit stands and craftworks on the way. The town itself is a bit cooler than the coast on most days. El Valle boasts a fascinating Sunday Market with arts, crafts, plants and food items. The natives come down from the mountains on those days to sell their wares and the Guna (formerly called Kuna) Indians also bring their world famous molas. There are interesting hikes to areas with beautiful views, waterfalls, and historical points with petroglyphs. If butterflies are your cup of tea, El Valle boasts the number one attraction in Panama—the Butterfly Haven, where you can experience butterflies all around you in a caged area feeding on beautiful flowers. A zoo is also located in El Valle; it is the only place in the world where you can see a golden frog. All are gone from the wild and one remains there at the zoo to view.

For those who golf, there are several golf courses in the beach areas.

Surfers, paddle boarders and kayakers can rent here in El Palmar. There are surf lessons for those who are interested.

Yoga/Zumba/Pilates is offered in Coronado.

There are many restaurants in the beach areas with varied cuisines.

Panama offers a great assortment of organized tours to jungle, beach, mountain, lake and indigenous areas.
