Just Perfect!

Located in a peaceful area in Tuscany, this home is beautiful & relaxing. A bit off the beaten track, yet day trips to Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Bolgheri & the Cinque Terra are easy. Just staying “home” is wonderful. Our group loved every minute of our stay. Peter, the owner, couldn’t be more gracious in helping to arrange just about anything.

Wonderful summer in Tuscany

Our family of 2 adults and 3 children rented this house for 3 weeks in July 2012. We found it very nice and well equipped. Clean. Beautiful house, nice pool, safe garden and excellent location and view. The children loved it (and so did the adults). The owners are very nice and helpful in recommending sights, restaurants etc. The drive up to the house is a bit steep and narrow, but it is definately worth it once you arrive and have to view an the chilling breeze. Very good location for day trips to various sights in Toscana as well as north to Cinque Terre and Portofino. We would clearly recommend this house. Best regards Anette og Rolf Saastad Oslo, Norway

Simply Amazing!

Casa Greta is a truly special place, and Peter is an exceptional host. We've rented many great houses through VRBO, but Casa Greta was by far our favorite. You feel at home from the minute you arrive. It is evident that every detail inside and outside was meticulously planned with great love and care. The house and grounds are as beautiful as pictured. Peter went above and beyond particularly when we encountered a problem with our rental car. He helped us arrange a taxi for the week and our driver Mario was fantastic. Had we known that we could have Mario for the week, we never would have reserved a car. It was blessing we could not get it. We also did a cooking class and pizza night with Romina. Like Peter, Romina is a special person. Her incredible food is eclipsed only by her warmth and kindness. The kids loved making pasta with her. Our only regret with our choice of Casa Greta is that we only had a week there.

Stunning Villa in Tuscany

It’s hard to put into words just how wonderful Casa Greta is. From the moment we arrived we knew this was a very special place and we were going to feel at home. The whole property is beautifully designed and has every amenity you could wish for. Each room is exquisite. The furnishings, especially the beds are super-luxurious as is every detail in the house. Everything is provided and designed with love and to the highest standard. The salt water infinity pool is breathtaking and the views over the valley to Camaiore are something else. The sun sets over the sea which is visible from the pool and terrace and is a magical part of the day. The beautiful tranquil garden and surrounding landscape are a haven for butterflies and pollinators. We have never seen so many beautiful swallowtail butterflies in one place, it was like paradise. It is the perfect place to escape to, to wind down and relax. We were also very grateful that its situation was a bit cooler and breezier in the hot August temperatures. Peter was a brilliant host and made sure we had everything we needed, including a private chef and restaurant recommendations and bookings. We loved every minute of our two weeks in this villa. We didn't want to leave. A truly unforgettable holiday. We hope we will be back one day. Kate & Flo H

Traumhaft schön, unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen, im Haus ist alles vorhanden und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön mit Blick auf das Tal und das Meer. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt . Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Küche,Schlafzimmer, Bäder ein Traum. Ich würde 10 Sterne vergeben wenn ich es könnte. Für uns war es eine traumhaft schöne Woche mit herrlichem Wetter und die schönste Aussicht die wir je hatten.

Traumhaft schön

Wir haben 14 herrliche Tage in diesem traumhaften Anwesen verbracht, das Haus, die Lage und die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist etwas schwierig, man gewöhnt sich aber schnell daran und wird bei der Ankunft dafür entschädigt, einfach perfekt für jeden der etwas besonderes sucht.

Traumhaus in den Hügeln

Die Strasse zur Villa ist eng und nichts für schwache Nerven aber der Weg dahin lohnt sich! Wunderschönes Haus in traumhaftem Garten mit Blick auf das Tal und das Meer. Der grosse Pool hat meine Jungs begeistert, das Haus verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten und ist wunderschön eingerichtet. Grosse Zimmer, bequeme Betten, toller Bäder, riesige Wohnküche, Aussenbereich mit wettergeschützter Pergola, Gasgrill, Lounge, Sonnenliegen und Sonnenschirmen. Nichts hat gefehlt. Unser Gastgeber Peter war sehr aufmerksam, immer erreichbar, sehr hilfsbereit und äusserst freundlich. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Traumhaus, toller Gastgeber, entspannter 3-Generationen Urlaub wo jeder sein Rückzugsort hatte und glückliche Kinder die den ganzen Tag im Pool gespielt haben und sich über jeden Besuch der Katzen und Hunde von Peter gefreut haben.

Absolutely Gorgeous Tuscan Villa

We cannot say enough good things about Casa Greta. Our family stayed here for a week in August to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday. This is absolutely a 5 star property. It has a stunning location on the mountainside in Camaiore from which you can see the neighboring towns, the mountains and the Ligurian Sea. The pool and surrounding landscaping are breathtaking. The inside of the Villa is just as beautiful and has every amenity you could ask for. Peter is a gracious host and was easily accessible from the early stages of booking the property all the way through personally bidding us farewell when our vacation was over. He made sure we had everything we needed for an unforgettable vacation and was able to advise us on local restaurants and chefs. The only negative thing about this property is that we could not stay there longer. We will definitely be back and cannot recommend it more highly.

All who stay at Casa Greta are so fortunate that Peter and Astrid choose to share their wonderful home. The meticulous design, attention to detail and quality of materials are evident in every inch of the property. As someone who rents vacation homes with regularity, it is always my preference to stay in a house that is loved for and used by its owner(s), as this helps to ensure that the property is as advertised and is maintained over time. Casa Greta checks these boxes in the most superlative sense--Peter is so gracious to facilitate every possible need and seems to truly delight in the joyful experiences of his guests. The house is well-equipped with high-end cooking utensils, immaculate linen bedding, and gorgeous picture windows with screens that you can open to welcome the hillside breeze. Casa Greta is ideal for those who value quality that is layers deep and seek a travel experience where the home base rivals the adventuring.

It’s almost hard to write a review of Peter’s beautiful house, Casa Greta, because we’d prefer to keep it all to ourselves. The photos don’t do the home justice. The views are amazing, the house is extremely well equipped, and very well taken care of. We loved every minute of our stay and Peter was extremely helpful and responsive both before and during our stay. Would highly recommend. Rumina, the private chef he recommended, was also wonderful. We had her prepare food for our arrival and also for a formal lunch during our stay. She was lovely and it was a treat

Amazingly Beautiful Villa

The home is even more beautiful than the pictures. Our family of five, (my husband and five young adult children) had a magnificent time at this lovely home. It was so well appointed with everything you could ever need. It's beauty inside is only surpassed by the beautiful views outside. It is located outside the town of Camaiore which is a lovely Italian town, we loved spending time there as well as so many other surrounding places. We used the house as a spring board to local wineries, Florence and the Carrera Marble mines (which was a thrilling adventure btw) We also took advantage of having a meal delivered the first night we arrived, which I highly recommend. Then we had the Chef, Romina come back and give us a cooking class which was so much fun and totally delicious. Either way (cooking class or simply meal preparation) I highly recommend Chef Romina's services. We also spent much of the week simply enjoying and relaxing at the house with the beautiful views and the pool. I loved the house, the location and the host! Thanks Peter for offering such a wonderful property and experience. We hope to return.

This has been hands down my best VRBO experience. We had six in our party. I was ambivalent about the location and size of this house. But the house proved to be spacious, comfortable, modern, fully equipped and filled with old-world charm - Everything we imagined for our Tuscany experience. The town of Camaoire is and easy walk or drive away. The hiking trails are through the mountains are relatively easy and lead to old castles and hamlets peppering the hills above the town. Peter and his wife are gracious hosts and helped us with several day trips. We hosted a dinner part while we were here with 14 present and the house still felt spacious. The kitchen faces the sea to the west and is as it appears in the pictures, well thought-out and complete with every tool you can imagine. Perfect to prepare our sunset family meals. What a joy this last two weeks has been. My wife was in tears when we drove away. The stay at Casa Gretta was the best part of our two week Tuscan get away. Thanks again for everything Peter! We will be back.
