Economical and laid back

Located in a gated apartment community with basic necessities for our stay. It was away from the touristy party scene but a 15 minute drive away if that’s what you’re looking for. Our hosts were easy to work with and responded almost immediately to any questions or concerns we had.

Just not good enough

The property was dirty, sheets and towels stained & dirty. Kitchen I not stockef and unuseable. Not at all pleasent or good ! The neighbourhood was lowerclass residential - 2 bed condo, single moms a with 5 kids and 4 dogs type area( for real) Just not Suitable for Canadians, Americans and Europeans

Great geographic location for Cancun & Tulum adventures!

The positive: Our check in was easy, our host friendly. The location was perfect for the adventures we had planned, an hour from Cancun, an hour from Tulum, had great food within walking distance. The bad: The playground pictured in the listing are not usable, the slides are all broken as are the swings, the bridges are in terrible shape. Although the host cant help this, it should be known to potential renters, as it's what sold us on the location, bc we travel with our small child. There is a smoke detector, it doesn't have any batteries in it. The pans there for cooking need replaced, the Teflon is scrapped/scrapping off. There is ONLY a small bathroom trash can. Trash bags and toilet paper are are not provided. This isnt a big deal, just something as a renter I would have liked to know. Conclusion: Over all it's a decent place to stay, I felt safe, sheltered, and food was easily accessible.

I think the apartment has everything you need for a pleasant stay, plus it is in one of the best neighborhoods of Playa del Carmen. It is very well connected, with all the services of shops, theater, cinema and very close to the beach.
