About the property

3 Bedroom 2.5 Bath 1900's Country Charmer

This farmhouse was originally homesteaded as a dairy farm in the early 1900's. More recently we raised our large family here and have used it as a hobby farm, milking one cow, growing vegetables and collecting eggs. Surrounded by a working cattle ranch, you will relax in its old country charm, yet its location is conveniently only 1.5 miles to historic downtown Grass Valley, 2 miles to the Raley's shopping center or 3 miles to the gorgeous Nevada County Fairgrounds. On site manager available to assist with any needs.

About Michael or Allison Durham

We fell in love with Grass Valley back in 2000 on an anniversary getaway. The slower paced lifestyle and fresh air are only a couple reasons why we still make Grass Valley our home. We're confident you will relax and appreciate your time here too.

Michael or Allison Durham purchased this farmhouse in 2003

Why Michael or Allison Durham chose Grass Valley

This property's historic charm and story "wooed" us from the beginning. We have enjoyed raising 8 children in this special home, along with a multitude of chickens, pigs, a dairy cow and vegetable garden.

What makes this farmhouse unique

This home's location is unique. While here, I feel so peacefully away from the busyness of life, but in reality I am only a mile and half away from historic downtown Grass Valley and all the convenience I need. NEW - TESLA destination charger installed and ON SITE manager to assist with any of your needs!

Awesome Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Allison and Michael were such terrific hosts, and this was an excellent property! They were so accommodating and were willing to work with us on our unique needs as a group. The property was beautiful and a nice fit for the 14 of us. Relaxing scenery and a cozy cabin... We'd stay here again! Thanks for everything, Allison and Michael! :)

Peaceful Spacious Farmhouse with Great Hosts

  • 5 of 5

We and our family had a wonderful stay at Michael and Allison's farm house. We appreciated its quiet setting and open surroundings. The house is clean, well thought out, and very comfortable, and it made a wonderful place to reunite with family.

Allison and Michael were helpful and responsive hosts. We would gladly reccomend Allison and Michael's to a friend.

Loved the charm of the house!! The grounds needed some TLC

  • 4 of 5

Loved the old farm hose charm with all the nooks and crannies very original! Loved the coziness of the home as well. The from grounds were nice to look at, but kind of disappointed with the back, when looking out at the quails and other birds was a joy but the grounds needed TLC. The two downstairs beds could use some refreshing. Allison is awesome she took took. Sry good care of us!! Over all our stay was great and a much neede relaxing weekend that we needed! Thanks again Allison!!

Owner's Response: After consulting the grounds keeper, They confirmed the leaf and pine needle mess after the wind storm. I apologize we weren't able to have them rake before your visit. It can be difficult to keep up this fall time of year. Nevertheless, it's all tidy....until next wind storm. We'll do our best! Thanks Sandy!

We were in town for our son's wedding at The Stone House. With all of the events going on it was a pleasure to stay at the farm house and enjoy the peace and tranquility. It was perfect for our family with all of the rooms and many sleeping arrangements. Everyone kept commenting on how CLEAN the house was. I would definitely recommend this cute peaceful farm house.
