Darnley by the Dunes is decorated in our very own welcoming east coast style. Soothing colors, comfortable furnishings and large windows enhance your vacation experience in this spacious open-concept cottage. With a long stretch of sand dunes in your front yard (leading you directly to the beach), what more does your vacation require? The beach in front of this cottage is one of the nicest on PEI. You can walk for hours in either direction, there are little coves and stream inlets for the kids to play in and the beach is huge. Lots of space for all to enjoy!

This PEI cottage offers plenty of vacation space on three levels. The main level boasts open-concept living between the kitchen, dining and lounge areas. The dining room has a spacious harvest table to seat the whole family and overlooks the beautiful coast of PEI. From here you also have direct access to the large covered and sunny decks - sun or shade, it's your choice. The rest of the main level offers two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with a single over double bunk and extra trundle bed (that sleeps 4), a full bathroom (between the bedrooms) and a bright entry with full washer and dryer.

The second level is solely dedicated to the master bedroom with a king bed, 3/4 en-suite (shower) and a private living area that has direct access to a balcony overlooking the picturesque north shore beaches of PEI.

The lower level has a large living space with a flat screen tv, satellite, massive sectional sofa and a 3/4 bathroom (shower).

Darnley by the Dunes is complete with a propane BBQ, bonfire pit, Adirondack chairs, beach chairs, beach towels, satellite TV, wireless internet, bed linens, towels and a fully equipped kitchen.

The cottage is about 10 minutes from Kensington where you will find grocery stores, a liquor store, pharmacy, Tim Horton's, gas, the famous 'Frosty Treat' dairy bar and restaurants. Summerside, Cavendish and numerous golf courses are also a short distance away. License #2201577

Beautiful Darnley

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage.Nestled in among the Darnley Dunes, it was everything you could wish for in a vacation home. I would highly recommend this rental and we look forward to returning.

We had an amazing stay at Darnley by the Dunes in PEI! The location was absolutely perfect — just steps from a stunning beach that felt like our own private getaway. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay for me, my girlfriend, and our two friends. Melanie was a fantastic host — friendly, responsive, and made sure everything was just right. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to unwind. Highly recommend!

Perfect place by the sea

Everything was exactly as described on the website. The house is really big and perfectly clean. The view over the dunes was so beautiful and with only a few steps over you are right on the beach. If you are an early bird you can go see the sunrise. Overall a lovely place that we would recommend to anyone looking for an intimate spot away from the crowds.

Ideal cottage for our Fall vacation

We selected this cottage because it was adjacent to the dunes. They form a beautiful drift of bayberry and sea grass that ruffled in the breeze and they are all that separate the property from the beach. The house itself had everything we could ask for and was immaculately clean. I particularly enjoyed the porch, from which there were beautiful views. Despite the cooler Autumn temperatures we would facing east in the morning and west in the afternoon and were very comfortable reading. I also loved the way the kitchen/dining room and living room were lined with large south facing windows. In terms of practical matters the beds were very comfortable and there were a lot of them. Three separate seating areas, two with large TVs, and three bathrooms. This would be a great place for a larger family. Melanie and Clifford were very responsive to all our questions and concerns. And there were a couple because we were there during tropical storm Dorian. During the storm it was really nice to have a finished basement to recede into. It wasn’t something I had sought or thought about when booking but we were very happy to have it. I would highly recommend this cottage.
