Relaxing Haven

  • 5 of 5

A very nice, quiet, and relaxing place on the Lake. We really enjoyed the stay and would not hesitate to come back again with more than enough to do in the surrounding area if you need to leave. We also enjoyed the hummingbirds which I don't think anyone has mentioned in the reviews. Lisa has a Hummingbird feeder on the deck so while you are relaxing you can also watch them stop by for a drink.

Relaxing family vacation.

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent a wonderful 5 night stay at Johnson's Moundview last week. The weather was great and the scenery was even better. The cabin included everything you would need at a lake cabin including ice cream and root beer for root beer floats. The view from the cabin was awesome and the location was very private. Everybody in our party, including our dachshund, had a great time. Our time away from the cabin included playing golf at a very nice course in Sauk Centre named Greystone. We would highly recommend this rental.

Beautiful property and lake

  • 5 of 5

This past weekend I hosted my sisters bachelorette party. We had seven girls spend the weekend with my sister and I. We lucked out and had fabulous weather We spent Friday at double R, a local bar and Grill. The people there were very friendly and made it very memorable for my sister. Saturday we spent on the lake floating and enjoying each other's company socializing. The water was so clear and there were tons of little sunfish to watch. I would definitely suggest this property. I worked with Lisa and she was wonderful through out the whole process and answered any questions that I had very quickly. Johnson Memorial will always be a memory for my sisters' last weekend celebrating her being a single lady.

Amazing slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

This place was amazing. We stayed here in late June of 2016. First time there, we are a group of 10 HS and college friends who get together and rent a place each summer for a weekend. We've rented for 12 years now (so, far from our first rodeo as far as renting from VRBO, etc.) This place met our needs perfectly. We played golf Friday and rented a pontoon for the weekend ... the lake was fabulous. It's not a massive lake, but the lake traffic was extremely minimal, which was awesome ... felt like we had the place to ourselves for much of the weekend. Cabin is private and met our needs. It's not lavish or over the top, but everything you need is right there at the cabin. There's a nice little bar/restaurant (Double R) in Grey Eagle, a few miles away. The cabin came well furnished, and the lake views are fantastic. We had no complaints, and as long as our group doesn't grow (would be tough to fit too many more than 10 in the cabin) we will be back as long as they'll have us. Thanks for the amazing weekend!!
