Warm inviting cabin located in Au Train, Michigan. Look out your window and watch the gentle river flow, or better yet, sit on the large covered porch. Either way, you won't be farther than 50 feet from the water. If you're looking for adventure, this area has it all. Hiking biking, ATV's, snowmobile trails right down the road. But this river is known for its kayak and canoeing. It stretches nearly 10 miles, yet you end up 0.5 miles from where you started. Fish in the river or head up to Au Train lake. The lake is great for water sports, bird watching or swimming with a sand beach and campground. The sandy shores of Lake Superior are only 1 mile away. Located between Munising and Marquette, Au Train is the perfect place to settle down and enjoy all the U.P. has to offer.

This was a nice stay. It was only two of us. We had plenty of space, the place seemed clean. The ability to have a campfire was so relaxing. Would stay here again. The only downside was the bed mattress may need to be upgraded as you sloped into the middle.

A beautiful place. Right by the river , 5 minutes to the beach and 15 minutes to Munising to do all that hiking, biking, kayaking etc. Cindy was very nice!

The pictures are a tad misleading. It makes it look like you are getting a private location, but in fact there are several cabins surrounding it on all sides and close proximity. We could literally hear people cough in the cabin next door. We were looking forward to a private area with campfires by the river, but the campfire appears to belong to the entire little community of cabins. The cabin that was next to the firepit seemed to think the campfire pit belonged solely to them so we never did get to enjoy it. The cabin didn't have anywhere to store your clothes;no hangers, closets or drawers. No where to sets your bags in the room. We didn't use the 2nd bedroom with bunks, but if you needed to there was absolutely nowhere to put your belongings. In the master we had to set them at the foot of the bed and had little room to walk around. The lighting in the bathroom is horrible. Cant see in the shower. There is no mirror above the sink to get ready. There is a mirror off to the side which really isn't a vanity mirror but more of a decoartive mirror and it was extremely difficult to get ready for the day. However, the place seemed mainly clean and the kitchen had everything you could need. The bed was comfortable and the chairs on the front deck were comfortable if you could contend with the 100 spiders also sharing the same space.

This stay is exactly what we needed! We came up to snowmobile & had a great time. Little cabin had everything we needed & was comfortable and felt homey. We will be back in the future, may need to use your larger cabin next time when we bring friends. Thanks again for the last minute spot!

This was such a a cute little cabin and in such a nice place! It's in a nice little community and right by the river. The nearby town is quiet but friendly and it's a short drive to Muninsing. I will definitely consider staying here again next time we are in the area!

This property has been a dream of mine for 50 years. I have been enjoying the area and the river in particular with friends and family for as long as I can remember. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. There is nowhere else in the world I would rather be than right here on the river.

What makes this property unique

This unit comes fully stocked with everything you need to get away. Just bring food and beverages. The Robin's Nest features wood interior, a queen size bed in the master bedroom and a full size bunk bed set in the second bedroom.There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room for additional sleeping. Cottage has a full size kitchen, full size bathroom, A/C, WiFi, 32" HDTV and Roku.
