This was our second stay here and it was great. The house has everything you needed and plenty of room for everyone. Nice covered boat dock and the neighbors were very friendly.

Waylon was easy to get ahold of. The view was amazing! Spiral staircases were interesting, but were not a problem for us. Parking wasn't an issue either. Beds we're great; Hot water and pressure too!A light in the corner next to the dining table would be a nice touch after sun goes down, but it wasn't a problem.

Great location with plenty of slips for boats.

Our go to spot for family fishing trip. Great setup for us. Top deck is awesome at night. A little older property but great value and meets our needs.

The location and house were a blast. The cleanliness lacked quite a bit. We recleaned most everything when we arrived. Over all it was it a perfect lake house for some fun! The neighbors were super kind and even took my kids fishing off their dock!

Convenient and easy to get to

It's a nice place to get family together. Lots of places for people to sleep. We got the family together for Christmas. Things I'd like to see added to the unit would be Kleenex, some blankets for snuggling on the couch, little soap and shampoo for the bathrooms. There wasn't any tin foil or saran wrap which we picked up at the dollar general down the street and left for the next guest. The kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans but there was no toaster. There was both a coffee pot and a Keurig which was welcomed.

Family Get Away

The house was very clean, and spacious. With room enough to sleep our 10 family members. We enjoyed the balcony with its beautiful views. The boat house and dock were well used. Plenty of room for swimming and fishing. Lots of space for a pontoon boat. The neighbors on both sides were friendly and helpful. As older people l believe that some handrails on the side steps and off driveway parking would be a helpful addition. Gameroom provided lots of entertainment for all of us.(could use some chalk for cue sticks). The only fault we found was grill was not cleaned and is in poor shape. The spiral staircases were a tad cumbersome with carrying stuff up and down. We would definitely stay again . Thank you for providing a wonderful place to stay. We found closest room cute and teens loved it.

Beautiful location but not as advertised

If relaxing is your goal, this is the place. Great deck space and comfortable balcony. We had adults so finding out that it was really a 4 bedroom Instead of a 5 was very inconvenient. We had to put a 70+ year old in a true living room closet. That closet bedroom has no windows, no dresser and no closet. It is wall to wall bed that has to be climbed onto. Also, the only “shared” bathroom space is down a flight of very narrow spiraling stairs. These stairs are a bit scary for children or older adults. The other bathrooms are in bedroom suites. The “fire pit” doesn’t exist. It is a flower pot in the front yard with no seating anywhere around it. There is also a privacy issue with the downstairs bedroom. No curtain whatsoever but the boats passing by seemed to enjoy the show. One of our sober people fell face first onto the deck because the stairs are not railed or marked and appear to “blend” into the deck.With all this said, we loved “Todd” the next door neighbor. He really was welcoming and we enjoyed his humor and company. We appreciated having tons of towels.

Had some disappointments

First time at Badin lake thought we would give it a try. My family and I usually stay in High Rock lake rentals. This was the first time we payed this much for a night. The house is beautiful and clean. Nice pier. Caught fish but nothing like high rock lake waters. Nice neighbor told us since white perch went to dam fishing wasnt much good. We caught some big enough for a couple of meals. Nice quiet neighborhood. Now this may be nit picking but I expect if we paying this much a night things could have been better. *That grill needs to go. ! Just awful and disappointing. *I know bugs are looking for a warm place but it got ridiculous real quick.. *Ants crawling all over kitchen table. *I got pinched by a earwig while I was trying to sleep the second night there.. * 2 black beetles under my pillow. Ugh.!! *All places we have stayed had multiple spices for cooking ,they only had salt and pepper. Thats a heads up. *Couldn't let my daughters sleep downstairs because of the musty smell and dampness. * In the pictures game room shows foosball table (which is my favorite)and seating. Neither are there. No darts for dart board or we just didnt look good enough. Needs a few chairs down there. *Outside on balcony its a beautiful view... but furniture pretty nasty. Bugs in widows need to be cleaned bad!!. Its a beautiful house but for us and the issues and price not worth returning to. I can say been there done that and go back to my rentals on HighRock .

Just wanted to let everyone know that the grill has been replaced. There has been seating added to the game. I did not add spices. Now let’s talk about the the bugs. Total BS. I could not find any bugs or ants neither could Terminix. Also the cleaning service could not find any. The last thing I want to talk about is the musty smell. I don’t now what they where smelling but I couldn’t find anything wrong. The house smells wonderful my wife and cleaning services keep air freshener in the entire house. Maybe I’m nit picking now but don’t tell lies.

Wonderful Lake Getaway!

We had a lovely time! It rained for most of our stay, but the house was cozy and a great place to hunker down. The view was really great and the kitchen was well equipped. The upstairs bedrooms are really nice, both of them master suites. The downstairs bedrooms were good too, but the spiral staircase to get down to them was steep. Also, the fifth bedroom is a large closet with a bed in it. Not very private. All of the beds were really comfy!!

Nice house super close to water

This house is nice and was a great stay for the four nights we were there. The 5th bedroom is a closet off the living room which our kids loved but thankfully we did not need to use as an actual bedroom. House is very unique and there are two spiral staircases to separated basement areas. The dock area is awesome and we had a lot of fun playing pool and air hockey in the game room. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to someone wanting to stay at Badin lake.

Amazing weekend

We planned a family trip for my birthday. My daughter decided to bring a few friends along. The kids had a blast tubing, swimming off the dock and enjoying the game room. There was plenty of space in the house for all. The spiral staircases took a minute to get used to, but they added to the uniqueness of this beautiful home. The house and property were clean and the home was very comfortable to stay in. Coffee on the front porch in the morning was nothing short of amazing. Short boat ride to Scallywags, dollar general is close and the neighbors were super nice. Such a memorable birthday weekend. We will definitely book again.
