Comfortable property, amazing views

  • 5 of 5

The condo was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Size was perfect for our group of 5 adults. The view from the dining room table in the morning was breathtaking. FYI - Google maps was unable to locate the address as given. We were able to figure it out after driving around for awhile, but maybe more detailed directions would be helpful.

Great location!

Walking distance to the Stanley, downtown and grocery store. Wonderful views from the deck. No AC but, didn't need it anyway. And the elk came through!

Very clean, great views, quiet condo

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience here. It was just big enough for our family of six. We loved the views of the mountains in the morning! The proximity to town was a huge plus. We were able to walk to town without worrying about finding parking. Also had some great hiking trails just down the road by Lumpy Ridge. So close to the Rocky Mountain National Park. We were also able to enjoy horseback riding in the mountains just a few miles down the road. As you can tell we were busy, but this condo was right in the middle of it all! Would love to light the fireplace in the winter here!

You have to climb two flights of stairs to reach the condo, then the condo is two stories! Make sure you read everything on the kitchen walls ! Plus dumpster for trash was locked 😫?. Overall condo is very nice!

We loved this place! A very relaxing place to visit!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed this spot to stay the week we visited Rocky Mountain National Park. The location, close to many trailheads and Estes Park, was ideal. We discovered that elk wandered through the complex frequently each night, and we enjoyed seeing them go by at a distance. Sitting out on the deck each night was refreshing and a good way to cool off on a hot night. We watched the sunset almost every night. For watching fireworks on the 4th of July, we simply hiked up the hill about 5 minutes, and avoided having to go into Estes Park with all of the parking madness, and we got a terrific view. We also discovered that the Stanley Hotel was very close by, so one day we rode our bikes into town, and took the shuttle back up the mountain. The Stanley offers tours, ice cream, desserts and other treats to visitors, and there is also a steakhouse that is walking distance from this place. So lots of amenities close by. The townhouse itself was very clean, and it was perfect for a family of three. Although I did discover the bunk bed situation was a little tight for my son who is 5'10 who bonked his head on the upper bunk a few times. It was nice to have a fully equipped kitchen and large dining room table. However, the living room was a little cramped when we sat down to watch a movie. With the loveseat and two recliner chairs we each took over one piece of furniture, however, it was not exactly spacious, and this might be a consideration for a family of four people if you want to spend time watching movies or television at nighttime. Cable tv worked great, and my family appreciated that option. The WiFi was spotty especially if more than one person attempted to use it at once, but we really didn't object too much, since we wanted to "get away" for being on our laptops and cell phones all the time anyhow. I did email the owner to recommend buying a blue ray player, since the DVD player gave us trouble, and the movie we rented got stuck in the machine. It could get hot upstairs, but we always opened the windows and ran the fan after dinner, and by bedtime, it was sufficiently cooled off enough to sleep comfortably for us. The living room could also become hot at night time but we just would open up the one window and we'd go outside were it was cooler and very scenic on the deck anyhow. So there were some quirks about the place, but overall we loved it, and we'd welcome another opportunity to return again.
