You’re right on the beach, and right in the midst of unrivalled amenities. Welcome to the South Seas on famed Tigertail Beach. This 7th floor, 1,100 square foot condo sleeps four, with one queen bed, two twins and two bathrooms.

The unit draws its inspiration from the surrounding beach. Coral-hued tile and sand-colored walls blend with the sound of softly breaking waves to create the perfect seaside ambience. A palm blade fan cools you as you relax on sofas as stylish as they are comfortable. Potted ferns and plants fill the space with tropical color.

The kitchen features recessed lighting and comes with all the modern appliances and cookware you need to serve a family dinner or entertain guests on the balcony overlooking the pool.

The balcony faces southwest, which means it’s warmed by sun most of the day as you savor the mesmerizing view of sparkling ocean and lagoons surrounded by mangroves. That fully stocked kitchen will come in handy when you want some tropical blended drinks to sip as you sit back and watch the setting sun paint the sky orange.

The bedrooms feature ample closet and drawer space, and the living room and master bedroom both open up to the balcony so you can fall asleep to gentle ocean breezes. Yes, life in the tropics is good.

This unit offers comfort-enhancing features, including air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, free wi-fi, cable, linens, towels and beach essentials like beach towels, beach chairs, cooler and umbrella. Good thing, too, because the beach is just a few steps away, and it’s filled with endless activities. Wade through tidepools in search of shells. Explore the lagoons in kayaks or water trikes. Or just lie back and watch dolphins frolic in the surf.

The South Seas surrounds you with deluxe amenities. Take a dip in the heated pool then relax on sun loungers shaded by tiki umbrellas. Play tennis on scenic courts beside Clam Bay. Awesome view

This unit was very comfortable with an incredible view of the ocean. From our unit, we couldn't directly see sunset but a walk to the beach solved that issue. As others have mentioned, the walk to the ocean is quite a hike, especially with chairs, etc. We, two 70+ year olds, took about 15 min. to get to ocean and then walked along it searching for shells. Many excellent places to dine.

Reviewer Comments: Unit was dirty, floors sticky,furniture worn dirty and very bad musty odour.bed was old and very uncomfortable and mattress cover under sheets dirty, we purchased our own pillows and sheets, beach umbrellas were broken no small cooler or beach cart in unit. I have been vacationing for years at this condo and by far the worst unit I've seen in the past 20 years.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location on 7th floor was good -not too far from laundry/elevators. Unit was nicely furnished & clean - furnishings were comfortable. Bathrooms have been updated & were very modern/convenient. We did not eat in much, however the unit had a microwave, toaster, blender & coffeemaker that we used while we were there - those appliances worked fine. View from balcony was of pool and beach - very beautiful. We were always able to get a chair at the pool, although we came at a crowded time of year. Pool was clean and water is heated so always comfortable for swimming. Beach is large, beautiful and very clean. Upon initial entry to this unit it had a strong musty odor throughout all rooms. Despite opening all windows and turning on ceiling fans, the smell did not improve. We made several trips to Winn Dixie/Walgeens to purchase Glade plug-in's and a wax tart warmer, and left the windows open the entire week and the musty smell improved somewhat by mid-week. This unit is accessed from the outside of the building, along an exterior walkway. We have stayed at South Seas in the past & prefer a unit w/access from an indoor hallway. We checked in after 5pm on a Saturday, and only 2 sets of keys were left - no written instructions or laundry card was left in the package from the management company or within the unit itself. We had to purchase our own laundry card to do laundry. The management company does have a web application that you can download and view instructions regarding your specific unit, however the instructions available were very generic and did not give enough detail on unit 704. In the second bathroom there was a shower/tub combination, however we could not get it to function as a bathtub - details regarding this issue included in instructions may have helped. In addition we had difficulty navigating both TV controllers and channels and would have appreciated clearer direction. Also, Wifi within unit was noticeably slow. Overall, ok for a week-long stay.

People that stay there are very friendly. Although the washer and dryers are outside the condo, it’s still convenient to use them. We loved the view and used the tables on the balcony to play games in the evening. The condo had been recently redone, and the bathrooms were great. Would stay again.

July 2023 Stay

All beds are very uncomfortable and so is the rest of the furniture. It's a very long walk to the beach and to carry all beach stuff you need a beach cart. Bring your own beach chairs and beach umbrellas. The ones here are broken. Building elevator got stuck for 30 minutes with a family inside. Front door didn't lock and they had to come fix it twice and again it doesn't lock !This is the very last tower of the island so it's far away from everything.

Great stay for price but NOT recommended for young families!

Great price, great stay. If you have young kids this is NOT the place for you. The pool attendant—Tracey is a forced to be reckoned with. She was horrible to kids in the pool, and really as a parent of older kids (teenagers) the way she was speaking to smaller kids it’s a good thing I wasn’t the parent. She was not a pleasant person all around. The way she spoke to people in general was horrible. Prime example of giving someone a little bit of power. The facility is geared more for older families or middle aged-up. I mean my 40 yr old husband wanted to jump in the pool but the rules say “no jumping” and Tracey will fine you for it…literally! There is a fine according to her as she announced it to the entire pool. Each day we went to the pool in the afternoon and she was always kicking kids/families out for tossing a ball, jumping in, or running around the pool. There was a lot of “No’s”but again you have to remember this is a private condo area vs resort area. But it served us well, walking distance to the beach, had everything we needed and everyone was friendly minus Tracey and a few of the people that live there permanently as you could tell “tourist” were not welcomed—they made it very clear, they were unhappy with so many condos being rented out. If you can ignore this, and don’t mind stiff rules like no night swimming, no drinks poolside even in non-breakage cup, no jumping in the pool, it’s perfect! After all, leave Tracey and others at the pool and go enjoy the beach! Check in was super smooth, so was check out!

Reviewer Comments: Excelent view , beautiful beach 🏖, Pool was very clean , apartment has all you need to cook , and to spend a quality time , the only problem was that you are not allowed to play music or in my case play dominoes, because they will call attention on you , and the other problem was that the towers were under repair and construction 🚧 and they make a very laugh noise all mornings . I was not advised of that before making my reservation. But it was a great week , and to be on quarantine I did like that peaceful place. Beach 🏖 is another thing, super clean , warm water, very white sand . We did enjoy our 8 nights there .

Marco Island Vacation Property staff were easy to deal with. Check in and out was seamless. The unit has very nice views from the lanai. This unit is located in the “bend” in the building so it is a unit which has the smallest lanai. We were there in April and the sun only came to the edge of the lanai. Things I would recommend to the owner would be room darkening curtains in the twin bed room as the light on the walkway never goes out and the Venetian blinds do not block the light; some light bulbs were in need of replacement in the twin bathroom; placemats would be nice; the sliding glass door in the living room was very difficult to open and close. This is basically a good solid unit to rent.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Marco Island for 20 years now and we were well aware of the location of the property, this was why we selected it. Unfortunately we were 5 days without Wifi/TV and I felt this was an unacceptably long time to carry out a simple repair. We were not informed that the washer/dryer facilities on floor 7 were out of commission meaning we we had to go to floors 6 or 8. This was inconvenient to say the least. The level of construction repairs ongoing was rather high but I can appreciate that these buildings suffered a fair amount of hurricane damage. It would have been nice to have been informed about this.

I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit has a number of pluses. Great view, spacious and overall well-appointed unit with a nice pool. It is quiet and you will get your exercise walking to the beach but it is worth it. Quiet, and remote feeling, but good restaurants close by. However, essential items are in need of replacement. In 15+ VRBO stays, the master bed is the worst I have ever slept in. Excruciatingly uncomfortable thin hard mattress. The linens also need replacement. Old, used up. The pillows are either rock hard or worn out. Minimal paper products and soap. No spices in unit. The central air conditioner unit is in the middle of the unit, making it very noisy during the day and too loud to keep on at night. The beach chairs, although nicely supplied, also need replacing with something you can sit in....very cheap and uncomfortable. All are easy fixes other than the AC unit. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but this unit could use some TLC.
