About this property

Queen Mary House: Very large holiday home with superb sea views

Built in the Art Deco era, this three-storey, end-of-terrace house (formerly two adjacent houses) offers bright rooms, sea views, and sleeping arrangements for up to 20 people – all in a fantastic clifftop position overlooking Sheringham beach.

The house has been arranged with large family gatherings in mind, and we’ve tried our best to cater for all your needs. On the ground floor there is a very large, open-plan living area with a well-stocked kitchen, ample comfortable seating, and a large dining table. There’s also a games room with table football and pool/snooker, and an enclosed, sea-facing patio with outdoor furniture and a barbecue.

In terms of location, you’d be hard-pressed to find somewhere better. The (dog-friendly) East Beach is only three minutes’ walk away, the North Norfolk Coastal Path begins almost on our doorstep, and Sheringham town centre (known for its old-fashioned seaside atmosphere and thriving independent shops) is just five minutes’ walk away.

House excellent for large family gathering . We were 20 so filled the house but still felt spacious. Good to have 2 fridges and dishwashers although one dishwasher does need some tlc. Bedrooms lovely and most with spectacular sea views. Would come back.

We had the most wonderful weekend in Queen Mary's House. It was perfect for our large family (ages 9 to 82). Rooms were airy and spacious, with plenty of comfy chairs to relax and chat. The games room was great fun. The kitchen was really well equipped and there was plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses too. The views were absolutely amazing. There aren't enough words to say how much we enjoyed ourselves, and we'd all love to go back one day.

13 of us stayed over Easter Weekend. It was perfect for us and plenty of space. The place itself is excellent value for money for large groups and plenty of amenities. The bonus was the large table for us all to eat on and also the number of sofas to lounge on. Had everything we could think of for the kitchen and two fridges and dishwashers!!!!! Clean on arrival as well. Really close to Sheringham and the beach. Sheringham itself is lovely. Would definitely stay in this place again.

We gathered 3 generations totaling 16 individuals to celebrate two 80th birthdays and had the best time. The property was so well kitted out, clean and spacious. Even with 16 of us we never felt on top of one another. Views were immense and location meant easy walking access to sea front, and into sheringham. Would thoroughly recommend and consider coming back if had a large party need again. Communication with host was brilliant! Thanks for helping us create memories

This property has a relaxed atmosphere and enjoys sea views. The coast path, beach, promenade and town centre are within easy (uphill/downhill) walking distance. The accommodation sleeps 20 people, although online descriptions did not explain that two of the double bedrooms have curtained divisions between bunk bedded areas, so only suitable for families / close friends, who don’t mind sharing. There are two flights of stairs as the rooms are spread over three floors. The accommodation and outdoor area are spacious for eating and relaxing together. There are two charcoal burning BBQ’s.Bedding was crisp and clean, mattresses could be better on some beds. There were plenty of games, jigsaws, puzzles, board games and cards. The book cases were full of interesting books including a DVD library. With only one washroom/bathroom per floor we managed with 14 of us. Sheringham will appeal to people looking for food outlets, pubs, cafes, restaurants and many independent small shops in the main shopping streets. There were 2 bins, one for landfill waste, one for recycling. Separate Food waste was not covered. Food from the local supermarket was delivered for our arrival. There’s heaps of equipment for preparing, cooking and eating food. Some hand painted pictures add to the ambience. We had good weather and enjoyed the bank holiday weekend with family, to celebrate my birthday.

This property was situated adjacent to the beach with lovely sea views. The path down to the beach was right in front of the house so it only took a few minutes to walk down to the lovely sandy beach. It was also just a short walk into the town centre. So, all in all, the location was perfect. There was parking for 2 cars at the property but the other guests managed to park in a nearby street so no-one had to pay extra for parking. The property was well equipped with plenty of glasses, crockery and kitchen utensils. There were also 2 large fridges, a small freezer and a washing machine, tumble dryer and 2 dishwashers. We did have to go out and buy a washing up bowl though. We liked being able to take 2 small dogs. We did notice a few minor cleaning and maintenance points but nothing major. Everyone in our party absolutely loved the stay and I would recommend this house for a relaxed holiday for a large family or friend gathering.

An amazing property, the photos don't do it justice. All the bedrooms are of a really good size and the views of the sea are breathtaking. Kitchen is more than well equipped and caters really well for a large party.The location is fantastic, easy walk into Sheringham itself and so close to the beach, just a five minute walk. And in the other direction on the doorstep is a lovely walk along the clifftop.The Games room was very much appreciated by everyone as well as the books, games and jigsaws in the living/dining area on the ground floor which also had fantastic sea views as well as ample seating for us all.

Such a lovely place

Not the first nor hopefully the last time we stay. We booked for a belated Xmas get together and it did not disappoint. A great seating area for us all to eat and play games along with the relaxing lounge area too. Oh and the view….. stunning!

We first went on holiday to Sheringham with our four children in 1994 and loved its unspoiled character. We bought a holiday home there in 2005 and the opportunity to purchase Queen Mary House followed in 2007. We were knocked out by the position looking directly out to sea - as are all of the visitors to Seacliff. We love visiting Sheringham and the nearby coastline with opportunities to mess about in boats and then come "home" to all the facilities in Sheringham and the friends that we have made locally.

We are always available to contact during your stay and have local help to cover most situations.
