Very good initial comms from the owners and it was clear they had made a lot of effort with small touches to welcome us for our stay, which were very much appreciated.However, we quickly noticed a number of issues that we communicated with the owner, as suggested by Vrbo. The issues we found were raised the next day, see pictures (Saturday) and the owner wasn't going to come to us until the Wednesday to review resolve. Given we only have one holiday a year as a family it was important for us to be somewhere we could enjoy. After much thought we decided to leave the property and booked somewhere else, entirely at our own expense.The photos are old and there have been some changes to the pool area and the property is more tired that it would appear from the photos. We raised the issue with the owner and Vrbo about the photos and they have still not been changed after 5 months, just showing that the owner is not interested in marketing this property in a way that reflects what you will find on arrival.Be aware of the large gaps in the reviews. This should have been a warning sign, but one that we missed. Vrbo allow owners to remove reviews, so it is no shock that very few people appear to have left a review going all the way back to 2018 (17 in total)and all of these positive. 17 reviews in 7 years…..ridiculous. Vrbo customer service has been terrible. Not a full review as Vrbo only allows 1500 characters.
