We stayed for a week and it was our second time here. We love the cottage, the hosts and the location. Cornwall is a magical place with lovely people and scenery.
Husband, myself and 2 dogs absolutely loved this place. It was like a home away from home, beautifully decorated and clean throughout. Tracy and mike were very welcoming and friendly. The property and surrounding areas were very dog friendly. The location was perfect for trips to Tintagel, rock beach (dog friendly), local pubs (20-30 mins walking distance). I highly recommend and we will be looking to return again
Beautiful property with all the facilities required. Lovely and peaceful, perfect garden for dogs, close to all the main sites in North Cornwall. Much more spacy than the pictures appear, loved our stay and great welcome from Tracy and Chris.
We loved this lovely quiet spot , we walked in the woods nearby went to the beach , ate at the far shop , and lazed in the garden . Our dog loved the dog proof garden.
We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage in North Cornwall. The location is ideal—just a short drive from the stunning north coast and all its must-see attractions. Whether you’re exploring coastal paths, visiting quaint villages, or heading to the beach, everything is within easy reach. The cottage itself is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights for us was the enclosed garden, which was perfect for our dogs. Local amenities are conveniently close, so grabbing essentials or enjoying a meal out is never a hassle. All in all, this cottage offers a peaceful retreat with great access to the best of Cornwall.
2nd stay at the Burrow with my Husband and our spaniel defo be back next year we love it, perfect location for touring Cornwall with lots of nice walks. Lovely clean cottage and welcoming hosts
Ticked every boxQuiet , private , secure garden , dog friendly at its best and lovely hosts. Definitely need a car as was explained at booking but because of its status as small hamlet it added to its charm not overun by us tourists only cars were locals or lost tourists who dared to venture into the beautful peace , shhh! dont tell everyone.

About the host

My partner Chris and I have owned and lived in Gable Cottage for nearly 10 years now. Previous to living here, I lived in St. Teath (just up the road) where I have been all my life and Chris (who is originally from Aylesbury) moved to Cornwall for the good life and has never looked back! Newhall Green is our favorite place to be, especially in the summer when we can spend the day in the garden with our dogs, or walking in the woods (literally on the doorstep). In fact it is a standing joke amongst our family and friends that we never go anywhere. But who needs to travel when you live in such a fantastic place! We are sure you will fall in love with The Burrow and look forward to sharing it with you.
Why they chose this property
It is an area we were already familiar. The cottage, and more recently the converted workshop (The Burrow) gave us our little haven in the country. Newhall Green is well placed for seeing many of the attractions the North Coast of Cornwall has to offer while still being off the beaten track. We are ten minutes away from the picturesque village of Port Isaac, famous for "Doc Martin" and there are many other attractions nearby, including the Camel Trail, several Golf courses, Tintagel Castle and numerous stunning beaches.
What makes this property unique
The Burrow is a characterful property (equipped to a high standard with fully equipped kitchen and flat screen TV and DVD player) in the very sleepy hamlet of Newhall Green. It offers guests a sanctuary in a relaxed peaceful location with a private garden and dedicated parking. It is within walking distance of St. Teath, the local village with a shop, pub, post office and Butchers and is not more than ten minutes from a variety of stunning beaches and rugged moorland. Only a few miles from the Doc Martin and other film crews happening in 2016.
