We have a beautiful and convenient lakefront location steps from the water on Skaha Lake with a well equipped 4 BR 3.5 bathroom modern 'upscale' house with floating dock, mooring buoy (for your boat) and a level sand beach (for the kids). The water is clear clean and weed free. The house faces west over the water so you can watch the sunset. It is an awesome location and waterfront venue.

Relax on one of the two front decks overlooking the lake or dive off the dock for a swim. Enjoy the breathtaking view and soak up the Okanagan SUN! Modern clean décor and furnishing with comfortable beds will make your stay enjoyable.
The house is located a few feet from the lake so it is easy to dive in and cool off or to climb onto your favorite floating mattress or chair. It is a five to seven minute drive to Penticton. The Penticton main beach on Skaha lake is minutes away.
The house has four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, with two separate living room areas - 2,400 square feet.
The house as two 55 inch TV's, although we don't know why anyone would watch TV in Penticton in the summer.
Penticton tourist attractions such as the canal between Lake Okanagan and Skaha Lake, water slides, go karts, mini golf, horse-back riding, tennis, beach volleyball courts are all a very short drive away and close by.
Award winning Penticton and Naramata wineries and great golf are in the neighborhood. Osoyoos and Kelowna are both less than 1/2 hour drives.
Lake and yard access is from the lower level of the house. There is a short flight of stairs down to the gradually sloping sandy beach which is ideal for children.
This three level vacation home can sleep eight people very comfortably. We allow a maximum of six adults (older than 18) or four adults and up to four children (younger that 18). We can make some exceptions for the appropriate type of groups. It is great spot for up to three couples or two small families. The home could accommodate more, but we do not generally allow groups larger than eight and prefer a maximum of six adults.
For summer of 2018, we have added a propane fire-pit on the boathouse roof deck for guests enjoyment. This is an amazing feature to have in the lakeside; however, I note that this feature is provided only on an "as available" optional basis by me and may be removed at anytime if we find that guests are abusing the privilege or not following the usage rules. As such, there is not commitment by me to leave it there. will only remain available for guest use as long as there re no complaints and the rules are followed exactly.
PLEASE NOTE: we supply duvets, duvet covers, pillows but the client brings their own sheets and pillow cases, bath cloths and towels, beach towels.
Quiet Time after 10 PM outdoors - no music or loud voices.
The house is close to the Wineries in Naramata, Oliver, Summerland, Penticton and the Okanagan Falls. Centrally located to all the top south Okanagan wineries such as Blasted Church, Jackson Triggs, Noble Ridge, Dirty Laundry, Desert Hills, Burrowing Owl, Lakebreeze, Kettle Valley, Etc. We have openings in June and September which are ideal for wine-tasting and Golf.

BOOKING NOTES: AFTER ACCEPTING ONLINE BOOKINGS, I WILL EMAIL YOU A CONTRACT WHICH YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN AND A HARD COPY NEEDS TO BE SIGNED AND RETURNED TO ME ALONG WITH A PHOTO COPY OF CURRENT GOVERNMENT PHOTO ID. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY BOOKINGS ACCEPTED VIA ONLINE BOOKING IF THE CONTRACT AND ID ARE NOT RECEIVED WITHIN TWO WEEKS AFTER BOOKING OR IF THE ID DOES NOT MATCH THE INFORMATION REPRESENTED IN THE BOOKING REQUEST.
Also, the house is NOT available for weekly rental during the winter from September 1, through to May. It is generally available for a a 9 or 10 month lease from September to May or possibly June 2019. I will not respond to requests for short term bookings during these periods. The house is typically available for 9-10 month lease from September to June.

Why Owner chose Penticton
We rented a house on Kalamalka Lake in the North Okanagan for 10 years before buying a lakefront property. We were tired of old crappy beds and ugly shag carpet etc.. This house on Skaha Lake has everything we wanted when we were renting - a well set up and nicely appointed interior with great views of the lake, a good bedroom set up, nice comfortable beds, a great waterfront location, a great beach and dock set up, clean clear weed free water and close to all that Penticton has to offer.....

Amazing multi-family vacation
my family of 5 and both sets of grandparents just stayed here and had a great time. we all had our own bedrooms with bathroom and showers which meant we weren't tripping over each other every morning. the patio was used daily as well as the dock , the water was nice and clean, no seaweed etc. The kitchen was large enough for all of us to cook meals and sit and enjoy them. very close and easy access into Penticton for groceries and entertainment. Ernie is super easy to deal with and responds asap. would recommend to others and might be back myself someday.
Exceptional Vacation Property
Our extended family of 7 stayed at Ernie's property in July and had a wonderful time. The kids all had their own bedrooms and there was a well appointed family room for the teenagers to hang out. We swam off the dock everyday and there were plenty of chairs and loungers for sunbathers or sunset watchers. The bbq was easy to access and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for large family dinners. The property is within walking distance to the Skaha public beach and park, plus just a short drive to grocery stores, etc. Ernie was a pleasure to deal with and we hope to be back soon!
August stay for Challenge Penticton 2014
We were in for the race and stayed the week after for a relaxing family vacation. The night of the race we were able to sit out and cheer the last racers on. There was a real community feeling in that area. We had two families with 2 kids each. The kids spent the whole week on the dock, swimming, paddle boarding and floating around. The house was big, bright and modern. We ate a lot of meals there because it was so lovely with the BBQ on the upper deck and a big kitchen. The wineries were all close too. My sister and I loved sitting out with a glass of wine in the evening on the lower lounge area. Some of us swam and others rode bikes over to Skaha beach a few times. There was a playground, water park and basketball courts. We even rented a power boat at the marina and the kids tried wake boarding and tubing. We would recommend Ernie's place for a great family summer vacation
Our family, 6 adults 2 kids, had a fabulous week, and found the accommodation met our needs very well. We enjoyed paddle boarding, swimming and relaxing, and the location of the house allowed for easy access to all the amenities found in the Okanagan.

We loved our stay at Skaha. The house is modern, clean and has a wonderful set-up with the kitchen and main area on the ground floor, a bedroom and tv area with walk -out on the bottom floor and three bedrooms on the top floor. All with great views of the lake and space for people to do their own thing. The small kitchen in the basement was great for storing cold drinks. House was perfect for a large family, or in our case, multi-generations.
Deck was terrific, and beach area was small but private. It was a very short walk to town and a play ground for our grandchild. Quiet, clean, modern, perfect.
Superb Family Vacation
We (4 adults and 4 kids) have stayed at this house for the past 4 years and keep coming back! It is an excellent location (right on the lake) and the kids love to fish off the dock and swim in the water. The house has an ideal set up for two families with a bedroom/bathroom/living room in the basement (ground level) and three bedrooms/2 bathrooms on the upstairs level. Skaha Beach is also only a quick 7 minute walk from the house and has an amazing children's playground and ice cream shop! The house is very well taken care of and the owner is a great guy (extremely helpful and responsive to any questions/concerns).

The 3% VBO direct booking fee is not charged if you do not use the book it now feat and pay by cheques. Tax quote at 5.155% is GST at 5% adjusted for the VRBO fee. The deposit and rental payments are non refundable unless the property is re-rented. If re-rented, the refund is reduced by the pro-rata 1 days rental rate and any re-rental expenses or rate reductions required to re rent the property
