Amazing amenities, the host thought of everything. Parking was a cinch (especially coming from Los Angeles, I was blown away at the ease of street parking), and the apartment was cute and spacious.
Would recommend this property to any couple traveling to Louisville. It’s the perfect size for a couple, it’s extremely clean and very comfortable. The air conditioner works very well and the amenities are all that you need if/when we come back to Louisville, we would request this apartment again. Thanks to our host. We really enjoyed it!

Perfectly wonderful home away from home
Fully appointed, great location, and wonderful host. We will definitely be back!
Our 2nd year in a row staying at this beautiful home! Came down from Ohio for the JVA World volleyball Challenge held at the KICC. Love the location and the neighbor is nice and quiet. Thanks again and see you next year !
Wonderful experience. Beautiful historic home! Enjoyed the beautiful fenced backyard, private entrance to apartment upstairs and very safe. Host was awesome.
My husband and I stayed here during a 4 day music festival. Owner was nice, easy to communicate with, neighborhood was quiet and in convenient location for us, bed was comfy, apartment was clean…everything was great! We’ll be back.
The historic Louisville house was quite charming. It was a great space for my daughter and I and really close to the downtown sights and restaurants. The backyard was lovely and we marveled at the many lightning bugs. The bed was softer than I’m used to but overall, a great place.
We enjoyed our time staying in this lovely old home in Old Louisville! The apartment was cute and homey. The host was so nice. She met us on the front porch and gave a tour of the apartment. Hope to come back soon!
We stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect! The space was very clean, had all necessary amenities and even some extra. We didn’t cook any meals but there were enough dishes to comfortably cook a meal if needed. Location is great, short drive to all downtown neighborhoods and Old Louisville was fun to walk around and see the old architecture. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Comfortable accommodations close to downtown and U of L. Lovely private butterfly garden. Would stay again. Grand old house with excellent host and house history. Must be able to climb up and down stairs. Parking was a breeze. Architecture in the area is wonderful and there are some walkable locations to get diner food and pizza during daylight hours.
My husband and I have stayed here at least 4-5 times and, obviously, we keep coming back. The house is perfectly located near the city center but in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment is so clean and comfortable with all you would need for a stay-at-home visit cooking in or simply a great place to rest/sleep. I like it thot the wonderful host, Cheryl, is on site. In shorts, it’s a great place!
Cheryl’s place is in a quiet Victorian style neighborhood just a few blocks from downtown Louisville. If you’re looking for new or trendy, this ain’t it. But if you appreciate traditional architecture and the kind of neighborhood a city family would call home, this is for you. I had a great time enjoying the city and then unwinding in the evening. Cheryl welcomed me personally and showed me the place. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and quiet place to call home base while enjoying the Louisville area.
The host was a very lovely lady and showed us around the apartment with instructions. No kitchen table but two nice stools at the kitchen bar. There is one nice armchair in the kitchen area with a tv above the little fireplace. This is a small area for one person. The bedroom is very large and the kitchen is not too small. The cons were the extremely steep, narrow staircase of 19 steps. The bathroom is very tiny. Only room for one person at a time. The king bed was way, way soft. Possibly was an older all foam mattress that sinks so low it’s difficult to turn over while in bed. If you have back issues this is not the bed for you nor the staircase while carrying up a suitcase! The house is in a great location. Only minutes from Churchill Downs and downtown/riverfront.
This property is just as advertised. It's a historic property in a wonderful location with easy access to downtown, neighborhood restaurants, and the airport.Highly recommended.
Clean, quiet property in a perfect location to do things around the city. All communication with the host was prompt. We enjoyed our stay.
