About Chad and Carla Gregory

Chad and I met in 2012 and married in 2015 in front of 40 of our closest friends and family. We asked our friend and general manager of Red Cliffs Lodge to marry us at the boat dock of the hotel. It was awesome!!!

Chad, Jonas and I are in the picture. Payten was playing somewhere by the river.

Chad and I are tour guides in Moab so we're very familiar with what this great town has to offer. We enjoy rafting, hiking, 4 wheel driving and meeting guest from all over the world.

Chad grew up in Texas and has lived in Moab for over 10 years. He's a loving and super dedicated dad, hard-worker and fun to be around.

I grew up in Chile (by the way, I speak Spanish and Italian if you need help) and have lived in Moab for 4 years now and I'm in the MBA program at Utah State University.

Chad and Carla Gregory purchased this condo in 2016

Why Chad and Carla Gregory chose Moab

We love all the activities Moab has to offer. There's not enough time to do everything that's available: 3 parks, tons of hiking, 4-wheeling, rafting, etc. We live about 5 minutes from this property; we love its location and its views. We feel it's a great place for families to relax, BBQ right outside the living room, and enjoy the view of the surrounding red cliffs and mountains. It's large enough for a big family but it's also cozy and doesn't have the feel of a cold hotel.

What makes this condo unique

We are less than 10 minutes away from downtown Moab.

We love the vaulted ceilings and layout of the condo.

We have 3 bedrooms: 1 with a king bed and the other 2 have 2 twin beds in each. There are plenty of extra towels, sheets and a roll-away bed just in case you have a surprise visitor.

We have everything you may need for a great, relaxing stay:

• Ample parking

• Key-less entry with your own personal code (you give us a number you can remember and we’ll set it up)

• The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pans, utensils, spices, etc.

• Hi-speed internet and TVs with Roku for downloading Netflix movies and more (no cable TV)

• A gas grill in the balcony

• Laundry room

• 2 bathrooms with bathtubs and 5-function/ 3-way shower head combination

• Extra linens and towels

• A roll-away bed

• Plenty of closet space in each bedroom

• Brochures with information about the area and tour information

Great condo!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. The condo is a couple of miles out of the busy town so quiet but convenient. The place was very clean and had a very comfortable king bed in the master bedroom. Plenty of towels and very nice linens. We had read a review that said there was traffic noice from the road so we brought a fan and that was the solution. We appreciated the various information pamphlets that were provided and did several of the driving tours. Will stay here again when in Moab.

Very nice condo

  • 5 of 5

This was a great spot to stay in Moab - just a few miles outside of town. Check-in was easy and condo was a lot bigger than it looked in pictures. Very clean and cozy, decorated very cute. Good linens and kitchen. Loved the TV Roku with Netflix and all. There is road noise from the highway so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Also - note to owner - neither of the guest bedrooms had any chest, drawers or even a table - nowhere to unpack clothes except for hanging things in closet. So I was living out of the suitcase on the floor. This is really needed in both guest rooms - drawers!

We are privileged to live so close to Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park.

Utah has 5 National Parks and Arches is the closest to Moab. Arches NP has the largest concentration of natural arches in the world with about 2,000 named arches. The park is about 15 minutes from this home.

Canyonlands NP and Dead Horse Point SP are about 45 minutes away. Among other things, these park offer amazing back-country opportunities (multi-day backpacking, 4-wheel driving, hiking, biking etc.). They are also the backdrop of many movies including Thelma and Louise: spoiler alert!!! they didn't really take off the Grand Canyon at the end of the movie, the famous scene was filmed right outside of Moab; Mission Impossible II, yep, not an exotic location either, the first scene of the movie was filmed in Dead Horse Point and Castleton Rock. We have movie location information available in our condo.

Moab is also known for its outdoor adventures including:

• Four wheel driving: there are over 80 trails to choose from. Moab has hosted Eastern Jeep Safari for 50 years, the largest four wheel driving rally in North America. Through ought the year, Moab hosts smaller but similar events such as Moab Jeep Jamboree, Rally on the Rocks, and Bronco Safari.

• Rafting on the Colorado River: Moab is the base camp for rafting in the Fisher Tower’s section of the Colorado River, Desolation Canyon in Green River, and Cataract Canyon in the Colorado River. Cataract Canyon has some of the biggest white water rapids in North America and attracts hundreds of visitors to the Moab area every year.

• Biking: Moab is known as the “mountain biking mecca of the world” thanks to some famous trails such as Slickrock Bike trail and the Intrepid. Every year Moab hosts visitors from all over the world including countries as far as Australia, New Zealand and many visitors from Europe and Asia.

• Spectacular scenic hiking and marathons: there are countless numbers of hiking trails in Moab, ranging from easy-scenic trails to more advanced multi-day trails. Because of the scenery, Moab also attracts thousands of runners. Some of the more popular marathons are the Half and Other half Marathons and the Thelma & Louise Marathon.

• Because of its unique history, geology and climate that has allowed for pristine preservation, Moab also attracts hundreds of paleontologists to study and discover dinosaur sites, geologists to study the different formations, and anthropologists to study ancient civilizations that have occupied the area.

Chad and I are tour guides and we would be more than happy to share any information you may need to make your vacation more enjoyable. We love sharing what we know about this amazing little town! Go ahead, don't be shy and ask us a questions.
