About Bill Zimmermann
Mary & Bill own an Office Supply and Printing business in Waupaca WI, have 3 grown children and a 4 year old fur-kid, yellow lab named Wren. We love spending time outdoors in the Waupaca area, and especially time at our cabin on the Pine River fishing, biking, relaxing and playing cribbage.
Bill Zimmermann purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Bill Zimmermann chose Wild Rose
The cabin sits within 8' of the Pine River in an area where there are some gentle rapids that sound especially nice on warm summer nights with all of the windows open! The cabin is conveniently located near Waupaca, Wild Rose and Wautoma, with many options for eating and drinking within minutes. You'll feel like you're much further "up-north" when you're within only 2-hours of Milwaukee and Madison.

Very relaxing and peaceful weekend!
We had a great time fishing in the Pine River, sitting in the outdoors reading and listening to the river flowing, and taking a relaxing break from our busy lives. Everything was wonderful and very peaceful! Thank you for opening your cabin to us!
This was such a beautiful cottage, in every single way.. I don’t think I’ve ever rented a place that was this relaxing! Bill & Mary have thought of everything to make your stay pleasant.. open the windows & the sounds of the river fill the whole place. I didn’t want to leave!
Lovely place filled with peace
This is an amazing space adjacent to a gorgeous bubbling Brook. Decorating is perfectly cabiny with emphasis on fly fishing, which is not over done in any way
Owners are generous (left a bottle of wine and allowed us to checkout late since no one was coming the next day) and available promptly for questions
We will definitely be back! Awesome getaway even my sometimes crabby 14 y/o daughter loved!
Owners are gracious, professional, and kind. The accommodations were perfect for the two of us. I could see 4 people being comfortable there as well. Clean with all the amenities we needed. Peaceful and tranquil. And when we wanted a little socialization we headed across the river to 'The Ding'. Definitely want to return!
All natural sound-soother machine provided by mother nature
My family and I stayed for 2 nights/3 days and the cabin brought me right back to my childhood as soon as I walked in. It is rustically decorated just as you'd imagine a cabin should be. Everything was clean and there were instructions and wine waiting for us upon arrival.
The owners couldn't have been nicer. I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. No super strict or unwelcoming guidelines and we didn't have to do a laundry list of chores before departure. They didn't smother us but were helpful and kind when we reached out.
Besides the owners, the crown jewel of this cabin is the stream. The sound of the bubbling water and singing crickets created an all natural sound soothing machine at bedtime. There was a great Sirius radio available for our use which I loved. We also took advantage of the fire pit and onsite fire wood stand. There was also a convenient indoor griddle for cooking breakfast. The beds were phenomenal and I slept like a baby.
We had fish fry and delicious pizza from Oakwood Resort. We walked over the bridge to check out "The Ding" pub directly across the stream and they were very friendly. Having the pub so close would be great for a kid-free girls weekend! I might have to look into that.... haha. We took our kiddos swimming at the Silver Lake Resort which is very close by and it was $2 a person. It had little rafts for the kids to jump off, a sandy beach, an ice cream/candy shoppe onsite. We also went mini-golfing and got ice cream in town. Just down the road is a beautiful covered bridge and red barn that I saw people taking photos at. Overall, I was very happy and it was the perfect ending to our summer. Thank you for having us!!
We loved every minute of our stay there!
Very nicely set up. They thought of every convenience & comfort yet it’s close to nature with the setting and the river near by. I was there with my elderly parents and they loved it and we all want to go back!
