About this property
Get Away from It All! Waterfront Home on San Antonio Bay! 300' Private Pier!
Our modest but comfortable, coastal home, we've named Pelicasa (Pelican + Casa!) is located in the small fishing community of Seadrift, Texas. Get ready to leave any stress & anxiety behind as you find yourself in an environment lacking traffic jams, traffic lights, restaurant lines and full parking lots.
Pelicasa is located outside of town at the end of Swan Point Road where it meets San Antonio Bay. This beautiful bay is one of the Gulf Coast’s best-kept secrets for great fishing & duck hunting. In fact, there are many well-seasoned fishing & hunting guides and guide services available in our area. Whether you’re a fisherman excited at the prospect of fishing from the convenience of a private pier during your stay, a hunter looking for ducks, deer or wild hog, an avid bird watcher & wildlife enthusiast or a person in need of unwinding & relaxation, our home is the place for you!
Here are some things to look forward to with your stay: front row sunset seats all for you; uninterrupted view of San Antonio Bay along with all it’s fascinating inhabitants like Pelicans & Dolphins; launch your boat right down the street at the Free Public Boat Ramp; and no noise except for the water lapping against the bulk head and the breeze rustling through the old palm tree.
There is a deck attached to the backside of the home facing the water and a deck out over the water from the bulkhead. Both offer a wonderful place to sit and take in the view. There is a large concrete pad in front of our home next to the barn that will accommodate a fairly large RV or boat trailer.
Our home offers sleeping accommodations for up to 10 people (including adults, teens or kids). However, please note: The nightly rate allows up to 6 people only. If your party includes 7 up to 10 people maximum, additional fees are required in order to allow for more time cleaning (changing bed linens, laundry, etc), to offset the additional wear & tear on our home (septic system, water well pump & equipment, etc) and to cover supply use (propane, drinking water, etc). The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the guest bedroom has a king sized bed and the bunk room has 3 bunk beds for a total of 6 twin sized beds. Each bathroom has a standup shower and the home has a full size washer & dryer. The kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, electric stove and coffee maker (both Mr Coffee and Keurig) along with the basic pots, pans, dishes & utensils. There is a bay view from the open concept kitchen, dining & living room as well as the master bedroom. In addition to the home itself, a very large barn is set up with a propane grill, flat top propane griddle, single propane burner for boiling pots or fish fries, a freezer for storing ice and table that seats 10. We have Roku for Guests with a TV in the living room, master bedroom, guest bedroom and barn. And we also have fiber optic cable wifi for your convenience.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

This is the most Awesome place we have stayed yet. The comfortable beds, the decor, the MAN Cave, the view, the pier. It all came together perfectly for are annual Guy's fishing trip. we enjoyed are stay very much and hope to be back next year.
Perfect location for the fishy family or if you just want to day trip to the beaches, then retreat to quiet comfort of Seadrift. No need for a boat but even better because you can bring yours. Just around the corner from tailing redfish or grass lurking sea trout.
My family and I have been staying at this home for several years and love it. It's always clean and maintained, on a great street in a great area. It has everything we need with a wonderful view and outdoor space. We will be back!
The house was perfect for our stay. My wife and I brought our fishing kayaks for the trip but ended up fishing from the dock for most of our stay. The barn area is excellent for relaxing in the evening. We could not have asked for a better stay.
This is probably our 7th time to stay at this perfect place for a weekend get-a-way!! Always clean and comfy and just a great place to fish, relax and enjoy the company of good friends and cold drinks!!
We enjoyed the property for a friends fishing weekend! The house is very nice and everyone loved how the barn was decorated! A cold front came in the day we arrived, which may have affected the fishing, but we caught a red from the shore. The stairs down to the water are currently broken, which would've been good to know in advance as we brought kayaks, but other than that everything was great! There are games in the barn such as cornhole and washers
We have stayed here many years and it's always a great time. This place has everything you need. We enjoy fishing, playing games in the barn and cooking in the barn. Highly recommend!
We live in Austin, Texas where we own & manage a small business and raise our family.
Why they chose this property
This property means a great deal to us for many reasons. The main reason is this quiet, simple, coastal town is where I grew up and where most of my family still resides. We are excited to stay here as often as we have the chance... It's our home away from home.
What makes this property unique
Whether you're inside the home looking out of the great windows or directly outside, the environment is incredibly peaceful. There is no sound of traffic... only the sounds of wildlife and the breeze rustling the leaves of the old palm tree by the back deck. As the sun moves across the sky, it offers ever-changing lighting background reflected in the bay itself... making it delightful to view whether morning, afternoon or evening. We're particularly happy to watch the pelicans as they soar on the breeze, dive head-first for a tasty fish or simply hang out on our pier. Very often, a small pod of dolphin can be seen swimming by and sometimes they'll stay long enough to round up a meal between the piers... so thrilling! As to the community itself, imagine a place with no traffic nor any traffic lights... yes, unbelievable but, it really does exist. It's the place to get away from it all.
