DESTIN-ATION FUN, SUN and FISHING HEAVEN!!! We invite you to indulge in our “Piece of Paradise” that we call SEASIDE SERENITY. Our town-home is located just a 2-minute walk from the breathtaking emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico and 3 steps from a heated pool and kiddy pool. Imagine no streets to cross or no elevators to navigate and being able to park by your very own front door.

Located in SOUTHBAY BY THE GULF at unit #95, one of Destin’s most sought after, ocean front, family friendly complex's. Our 2 story 1200 sq. ft. townhouse has 3 bedrooms and 2 and 1/2 baths. It sleeps 8 people comfortably. It has been beautifully decorated to capture the charm and vibrant colors of the Gulf. Take the opportunity to enjoy the enchantment of coastal living at its finest!

Front door has keyless front entry. A code will be sent to each guest a few days before each stay.

SECOND FLOOR
MASTER BEDROOM: features a KING SIZE BED with two night stands, lamps, dresser, full private bath with bathtub/shower, walk in closet, ceiling fan, and 32" flat screen cable TV with remote.

SECOND BEDROOM: features a QUEEN SIZE BED, closet, night stand with lamp, ceiling fan, 32" flat screen cable TV with remote.

THIRD BEDROOM: features a BUNK BED with a FULL SIZE LOWER BUNK, a SINGLE SIZE UPPER BUNK, and a SINGLE SIZE LOWER TRUNDLE BED. This kid friendly room also has a night stand, lamp, closet, ceiling fan, 32" flat screen cable TV with remote.

UPSTAIRS BATH: The second and third bedrooms share a newly renovated full sized bath with bathtub/shower.

FIRST FLOOR: You will enjoy the convenience of parking in 2 reserved parking spaces just steps from your front door. Step through the front door onto an inviting FOYER. Off of the foyer is a front closet, 1/2 BATH and a LAUNDRY area that has a full size WASHER and DRIER.

FAMILY ROOM: Relax in a large sectional corner sofa that seats 6, an over-sized chair and ottoman that seats 2, enjoy the 42” flat screen cable TV, and complementary high speed wireless internet.

PATIO: Open the sliding glass doors and step from the family room onto a PRIVATE PATIO and GARDEN area complete with orange and lime trees. You can take in the ocean breezes and enjoy the gas grill, table and chairs with shade umbrella that seats 4 and outside storage closet packed full of beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach cart, and beach and pool toys for your enjoyment.

Our “home-away-from-home” offers all of the comforts you could ever wish for such as a fully equipped kitchen with ceramic tile floors for that “at home” convenience. Other amenities include central heating and air conditioning, high speed wireless internet, 4 flat screen TV’s, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator freezer with filtered water and icemaker, coffeemaker, toaster, crockpot, blender, electric griddle, gas grill, pack-n-play (Please bring your own crib sheet and blanket), 3 booster seats, bath and kitchen towels, linens, pillows, extra blankets, a full size washer and drier, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach cart and numerous beach and pool toys. There is even an air fill station available on the pool deck for inflatables.

During your visit, enjoy the quaint peacefulness of Southbay by the Gulf’s colorful landscaping, enticing beachfront gazebo, 300 ft. of private beach, 2 adult and 2 kiddy pools, 2 lit tennis courts, and 5 acre freshwater lake with walking bridge, 2 lakefront gazebo’s, and lit fountains. Bring your fishing poles! the lake is stocked for fishing, catch and release only. Children will enjoy feeding the lake’s many ducks, turtles and birds from the bridges and gazebos.

Our townhome is located within walking distance of Destin Harbor, Mellow Mushroom, Sunsations beach store and many other popular shops and restaurants. It is a 5 min. drive to Winn Dixie, Super Wal-Mart, Target, The Big Kahuna water park, The Track amusement park, Destin Commons shopping mall, The Doughnut Hole, Fud Puckers (feed live alligators), The Back Porch and other restaurants and attractions within the heart of Destin. Sandestin’s The Village of Baytowne Wharf, and Silver Sands outlet mall is within a 15 minut drive. There is a restaurant and attraction guide available at the townhouse, complete with menu's of area restaurants and shopping maps and sports brochures, to help you choose between the many restaurants and attractions available.

From front door to the beach is less than a 2 minute walk! The back closet that provided all the chairs, boogie boards and other beach items was perfect! We didn't have to buy or pack our own chairs. The condo was in a perfect location to access the tennis courts and the pool. We wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely want to come back!

We enjoyed our stay. The proximity to the beach and pool was ideal especially with kids.. The unit was a bit dated and a very small bathroom in the primary bedroom. The kitchen had everything you nedded but dated. The location and price mafe up for it. The owner was very responsive to any inquiries and the unit was available on time for the 4p check in. Also a plus were all the beach accessories avaliable in the shed to use.

This placeis just steps from their pool and the gulf! That was the highlight for us. One of the bathrooms has been updated and all of the major appliances are very nice. The property itself was older and a bit dated, but the location was perfect!

Chose this place to stay near family at another unit on the property. I didn’t read reviews so maybe other people have said this but we loved this place! If it was not the hosts personal vacation home it definitely felt like it. They had plenty of kitchenware, towels, extra blankets, beach chairs, etc. even had a little high chair. If we stay in this area again we would definitely choose this room again!

This property is just as it is listed! It was wonderful! The furnishings were nice and lots of room. Up to date appliances and comfortable bedding. The beach access was quick and accessible. The outdoor closet has lots and lots of beach accessories!! Plenty of chairs!!The absolute most beautiful water I have ever seen!! I will would recommend this property to anyone!! The only thing I would add is a few more towels but hey it has a heck of a washing machine!!!

Our host was the best. Our accommodations were right on point. She provided everything needed to enjoy the beach and pool. If we had little ones there were beach toys and booster seats. Spring Break

This is the perfect spot for families! You park right in front of the property door, so there is no need to lug your belongings up multiple floors or hallways. The walk to the beach access can be made by walking through the back yard! The only downside is that most of the beach has “ghost” rental chairs, so you have to sit behind them or walk down the beach to find a clear spot if you opt to not rent one. I think that’s something you encounter no matter where you stay on the beach though.

Wonderful Time!

The property was clean and comfortable. It was a few steps from the pool and a 2 minute walk to the beach. The property manager was helpful and the owner was nice and promptly responded to any questions I emailed her with. We were a bit concerned about potential noise because the unit right next to us has two small dogs, but we never heard them at all. We had some rainy weather during our stay, but the water was wonderful with some nice waves. I highly recommend unit 95 at Southbay! You will not be disappointed!

I enjoyed my vacation time with my family

I was accommodated by the owner for early check in a day early. However, there is a no pet policy and the condo smelt of strong cat urine. Under the bed was covered with animal hair. When hunting for covers for the sofa bed, they was dirty and also had cat hair on them. The mattresses are old and worn out. There was plenty of towels but only 4 wash cloths for 7 people. The condo door also had a note from management stating that the owner was past due and we was denied access to all the amenities except the unit itself. The neighborhood itself was nice and the people were extremely friendly. I would rent from Southbay again but not this particular owner.

There are not enough towels and washcloths throughout the condo and the kitchen pans are not in the best shape as we do a lot of eating in. The dishwasher didn’t work the entire week so doing dishes all week wasn’t great. The light above the table flickered all week long, most of the time it was on and the air sounded like a jet taking off every time it came on. It was very well stocked for the children, which we appreciate! I hate to be negative but we love this complex and have been coming to the same place for 20 years, this was not the same standards as we are used to and I have yet to receive my deposit refund which I thought would have come by now especially with the issues we had

Would likely stay again

Having three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths was truly a wonderful thing for us girls, ages 22, 43 and 73. The only way the location could have been better is if it would have had a beach view. As it was, it was a little walk through the complex, and we were at the beach. It's located off the main highway, but so far back it was nothing but convenient;so easy to find, and to get to everywhere we wanted to go. The place needed updated badly, but was comfy. Our main advice to owners is to provide enough dish detergent, beach towels, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags which were locked in a closet The manager was generous in getting us extras, but we ended up running short anyway. The other thing is that getting the linens and towels washed before checking out should be a request, not a requirement. We paid a lot of cleaning fees, hostess fees, etc., and felt we did a whole lot of work in spite of that. We will be keeping the supply issue and the cleaning requirement in mind when choosing between a hotel and vrbo in the future, but with all that said we would likely be willing to go there again.

Great beach access but read the amenities closely

Good: Short walk to beach. Pool is even closer. The house is spacious with a full kitchen table and booster seats. The backyard storage has plenty of toys, beach chairs, and umbrellas. The propane grill and outdoor patio tables/chairs were very useful during our stay too. The W/D are new and awesome. Bad: if you don’t open the amenity details on VRBO you may miss that beach towels are not included. Also, that soap is “basic” - not sure what that means but we did find a hodgepodge of soaps but I’m not sure if it was from past guests or not. Had 1 laundry pod and lots of dishwashing pod. It says there are kids’ utensils and a travel crib but there are not. We had to buy our own crib night one. The host told us one had broken weeks ago when we said we couldn’t find it. We found the only one we could in Destin and sent them the receipt. Crickets. There’s also a baby gate but I don’t think it works/fits. A pair of parents couldn’t figure it out. We ended up using the ironing board as a deterrent to the stairs. I suggest being in contact ahead of 4PM check-in. We arrived right on time but the app didn’t have the code for the gate or door. Had to reach out to get access. No cable TV. Netflix was active and that came in handy, the TV is small for the room though. You’ll find plenty of board games and books! No way to lock the back-sliding door to the beach from outside. The pair of keys that were supposed to lock it did not work

Hello! My name is Olivia and I have managed this property since November of 2019. My mother owned and operated this property that we call ‘Seaside Serenity’ since 2004. Her full-time job was working with teens in a high school setting who have emotional and behavior disorders.

Mom fought breast cancer from November 2018 to July 2019. My sisters and I have managed the condo with mom's heart for our little home-away-from-home in mind. Mom always loved the beach at Southbay By the Gulf. There was nothing better than sitting on the beach, and floating in the clear, blue ocean water with her.

When we want to get away and have some family time, we head to the BEACH! We swim in the ocean, build sandcastles, ride bicycles, visit unique shops, grill out on the patio, bake fresh cookies, and take long walks on the beach.
The thing I love the best about owning and managing this rental property for mom is all the wonderful guests and neighbors that we have gotten to know over the years. People that I otherwise would not have met. We are very fortunate to have a large number of repeat guests. Why they chose this property

My parents had been snorkeling and scuba diving for many years. They also enjoy swimming and shell collecting with my sisters and husband. Our favorite place to vacation was the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. We have been vacationing in Destin since 2004, and have never turned back. Coming to Destin is now a family tradition with many great photo's and memories.
We insisted that our property be very family oriented. We fell in love with Southbay as it captures the charm of old Florida and our condominium has the feel of a nice beach cottage, not a hotel room. Guests comment on how 'relaxed and at home' they feel at Seaside Serenity. We hope you make as many fun memories here as we have.

What makes this property unique

We enjoy having a private beach and pool less than two minutes from our doorstep. Southbay is one of a few properties that still has a 1 foot deep kiddy pool. Enjoy a private patio to grill delicious family dinners and a small garden in which to putter. Mom planted an orange and lime tree in the back yard a few years ago. They have grown into beautiful, fruit-bearing trees. We can hear the ocean from our doorstep and enjoy watching pods of dolphins from the beach.
Our development is quiet and tucked back by the ocean, yet we can be at any restaurant or at great shopping in 10 minutes or less. We love walking to the local Mellow Mushroom Pizza restaurant after our drive down to the condo.
