This cabin's location isn't too far from some of the best trails at Mount Baker. The log cabin feels like a log cabin- some things are pretty dated, but overall functional. I wish the air conditioning actually worked- or perhaps if renters had control over it- it got pretty brutal with the 97 degree heat outside, but the inside stayed in the 80s during the day. More fans would be nice. If you are taller than 5'5", I'd recommend showering in the downstairs bathroom; the one at the top requires ducking. We'd definitely stay in this cabin again, but in cooler weather.
Also important to note- due to the heat, most restaurants closed, so come prepared to cook if it is hot out and bring your own groceries. The only restaurant open was the North Fork Brewery, which we HIGHLY recommend. This was some of the best pizza we ever tasted, and this is coming from a self proclaimed pizza snob.
