Great location!

  • 5 of 5

My wife, dog, and I stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it! The fenced-in backyard was perfect for the dog. The house is out in the country and surrounded by woods so it was quiet and peaceful. Lee even left us some bacon and eggs to cook for breakfast!

We had one minor issue with the hot tub at about 8pm one night. We messaged Lee about it and he was over less than 10 minutes later and fixed it right up. He was a great host!

Owner's Response: We are sorry you felt that way! When you left you sent an email that said "We just left 15 min ago key is on table sir, thanks wanna get home to our pets." The Alto Guest House is a country bungalow built in the 1930s - actually a Sears packaged house that we renovated completed, vaulted the ceilings and created a contemporary space.

Clean, quiet & comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Alto guest house. House was very clean, with comfortable beds. Bacon & egg breakfast left in the fridge as a welcome was a very nice touch! Back fenced in yard was great for our dog, and the stars at night were a light show much appreciated! Only one item we thought should be remedied, the tub drain was very slow, but otherwise was a great visit.

Fall color getaway

  • 4 of 5

Vacation is always better when we can bring our dogs :) The whole process of renting from Lee was smooth and easy. While this house is not considered luxury, it was exactly as pictured and suited our needs very well. The hiking trails and wineries are a close drive away. One of our favorite stops was Abbey Ridge. They have good brews and food and lots of space for dog frisbee. Hedmon winery had a delicious Norton and an added meat, cheese n olive plate for $2. Nice quick getaway for us. Lee responded immediately to our questions and as the other reviewers noted, the local eggs, bacon, milk, pastries and fruit were a delicious bonus. Thanks Lee!

Sunny Seclusion on the Wine Trail

  • 4 of 5

My BFF and I enjoyed a week's stay at this quaint, quirky cabin. It was close to many of the wineries and great restaurants yet secluded enough for us to enjoy the birds and quiet countryside. Host Lee left us all the makings for a great country breakfast on our first day so we could enjoy a leisurely morning before taking in the local sites. Clean, basic accommodations at a reasonable price, and our 2 dogs had a great time in the fenced back yard! Hope to make another visit next year!
