Overview

About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bath, 1,600 Sq Ft, 200-year-old House

Located on the east branch of the Westport River this 1790-built Georgian house is a fine place for your vacation. Seven miles from beautiful Horseneck Beach, set in the heart of the historic “Head of Westport” neighborhood, this lovingly restored three-bedroom home captures a time gone by.

With a fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining room, delicious meals can be enjoyed at a table for 8. The master bedroom has a queen bed, while the 2 upstairs bedrooms have full-size. All the bedrooms have A/C, but every afternoon around 4 or 5 the cooling breeze comes up the river, and makes the sitting on the patio a treat.

Find a quiet spot in the garden to read, or sit on the back yard patio in the morning enjoying coffee and birdsong.

There is a seafood market down the road where the freshest fish and shellfish can be bought to put on the gas grill. One can eat nothing but local fruits and vegetables from farm stands and farmers’ markets (when in season).

Take an outdoor fresh water shower after a day at the beach.

Croquet set available for a relaxing activity. Kayaks and paddleboards can be rented across the road. Or you can bring your own to put in at the town landing there. The Head is an ideal place to start a bike ride. Westport has great roads and (mostly) polite drivers.

A short walk brings you to a country store featuring ice cream and penny candy.

The rolling hills of farmland and salt water rivers are unique to New England.

Spacious, bright, and lovely house!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here during the week of Christmas and I am so happy we did. This house is spacious, has a ton of natural light, and is super cozy. The location is great and the hosts were excellent, checking in on us from time to time to make sure our stay was going well. This was by far the best rental I’ve booked.

Great home great memories!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home as a base home for my daughters wedding. Many guests flew in and were staying in a local hotel. We entertained the guests at this house. Everyone loved it here.it was well equipped and plenty of room. The area was beautiful and very close to beaches and restaurants . My daughter stayed there the night before her wedding and the bridal party got ready in this house the pictures taken here were absolutely beautiful . The owners were great to deal with always got back to you on any questions quickly. Can't say enough great things about this house. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay for family of 5

  • 5 of 5

We were visiting family in the area and needed a place with room for 3 teenage girls. Two had to double up, but there was enough room for everyone that we were not on top of each other like at a hotel. We would definitely rent the home again on another visit. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. You had a strange weather week with rain and cold followed by steamy heat. Sorry that the air conditioners were not in yet. We are putting them in now! You are always welcome back. Best, Sacha and Quentin

Most wonderful house!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Sacha's and Quentins house for 7 nights with 3 adults. The old house is situated in a wonderful garden. Sacha and Quentin live next door and even provided us with everything for the breakfeast, because we arrived late. This was most friendly!!! The house has everything, we needed, has very comfortable beds and bathrooms, two (!) livingrooms with nice and comfortable sofas and tables. The is space enough and everything, what one need is there. I have to emphasize, that we found Sacha and Quentin most friendly and we were very happy to meet them.

The house lies close to the best sights of the coast of Rhode Island, wonderful! We went to Boston by car, which was no problem.

An excellent stay in Westport for our family of six...

  • 5 of 5

This home was spotless and well maintained. All of the decor is comfortable, tasteful and pleasing. Sacha was available for questions and made us feel incredibly welcome. We loved spending time there with our four children --lots of board games, cooking, reading -- and will definitely return with our brood in the future! Best Wishes, Renee & Brendan
