Main floor bedroom has a California king bed, large closet, and a full bath with step-in shower en suite; second floor bedroom has queen bed, a futon couch that becomes a full sized bed, a mini-fridge and microwave for those midnight snacks, and a full bath with shower tub combo.
This 1940's home features a fully outfitted kitchen with several coffee makers, blender, waffle maker, mixer, pots and pans, cookie sheets, muffin tins, utensils, dishes, flatware. We keep the cupboards stocked with the staples - flour, sugar, oatmeal and cornmeal, coffee and tea. Front-loading washer and dryer on site. Bring your dog, if you wish, to hang out in a pet friendly enclosed patio or in the small dog run in the back yard.
There's WiFi, cable tv, a VCR/DVD player, and a lots of games, puzzles, VCR's and DVD’s for when you just want to hang out at home for a while before heading out for your next adventure.
Your hosts, Susan and Wiz, bought the house in June 2016. Susan is a former live theatre set designer and hopes to recapture the ambiance of the 1940's while providing all the conveniences modern travelers expect from a vacation home. The house is fully functional, clean and cozy.
FYI: As with all listings here, additional credit card and processing fees will be charged to you by VRBO (about 10%) and a lodging tax for the City of Port Orford and the state of Oregon (another 10%), so the total charge will be higher than the nightly rate. (Stays of 30 days or more are not taxable. ) The $100 damage deposit will be refunded to your credit card within 7 days. We will keep some of the damage deposit if items are broken or carpets, towels or sheets are permanently soiled.
