High-rise condo with newly renovated kitchen/granite countertop/new tile flooring throughout the unit except for the carpeted bedrooms. Just step to the beach. We acccept mini-week rentals (min 3 nights) as well as rentals to seniors with parents' signatures and consents. For our special guests, this spacious fully furnished, well-decorated 2BR/2 Bath deluxe beach condo is equipped with free Wi-Fi and high-definition Comcast digital cable TV. The Unit has the most spectacular panoramic view of the City, the Assawoman Bay and the Ocean due to the building's unique location at the most narrow section of the city's peninsula and close proximity to both the Ocean and the Bay. Relax and dine on the extra large 22-ft private balcony (not visible to occupants of the adjacent units due to the circular design of the building) or in the Dining Room while enjoying the magnificient views of the blue sky, the immense Bay, the beautiful City and the winding Beach captured from almost every corner of this condo unit.

From the balcony, watch the sunny beach run for miles South until it fades around perhaps 50th street. Don't miss the unforgettable sunsets at night. During the day, water sport activities on the Ocean and the Bay (i.e. parasailing, jetskyiing, etc.) can be viewed from the balcony. The beach can be seen at a 45 degree angled view with full view of the Bay from the Master bedroom, Living/Dining Room, and from the balcony.

The condo can comfortably accomodate 6 people (actually more than 6 but the Antigua Condo Association rule only allows 6 per 2BR unit). The extra foldable standard size crib can fit in the Master BR which has a king size bed, a vanity table and dresser. The Guest Bedroom has large windows open to the interior balcony and sky dome. It is elegantly furnished with one queen size bed and one twin with 2 dressers and mirror. Additional guests may use the queen size sofa bed in the living room. The nicely furnished dining table set with tall chairs in the Living/Dining Room with kitchen counters used as breakfast nook allows the guests to admire the gorgeous Bay and Ocean panorama while dining. One can cook in the kitchen while enjoying these gorgeous views as the inside of the Unit has been architecturally restructured to maximize the views.

At night, bring your binoculars to the exterior balcony to watch tiny little cars glow in the dark over the illuminated Highway 90 Bridge. Enjoy the sunset and the ocean breeze while dining in the open air on the balcony. Watch the moon shine at night on the Ocean. Feel the vibrant energy of Ocean City through the neon lights as you dine into the night. The Unit can offer the most romantic ambiance for the young couples or newly weds and yet at the same time provide a warm and cozy place for a large family in need of space. Beach toys are kept in the utility room for the tiny toddlers.

We love the beach and the pure & fresh air of Ocean City. Although we retired and moved to a city about 15 minute drive from Huntington Beach, Surf City California, we often fly out to the East Coast to visit our beach condo in Ocean City, MD. Sharing the beach condo with our guests allows us to be able to keep the condo and afford the high upkeep costs associated with ocean-front properties.

There is an on-premise Condo Association Property Manager who will be welcoming you and handling your registration when you arrive at our condominium building known as the Antigua Condominium located on 85th and Coastal Highway.

Why Isabelle T. Nguyen chose Eastern Shore

My husband and I love Ocean City. We have been going to the beach every Summer since we moved to Maryland in 1971 from Connecticut after graduation from U. Conn. Back in the early years after the Antigua Condominium was built, we drove by and were able to park our car right inside the rotunda. Now, you can't do that anymore. We fell in love with the building's unique circular architecture (designed after a building in Japan except for the open dome) and decided to make it our permanent retreat place for the Summer. We love to stroll along the beach either very early in the morning or late at night just to hear the sound of the waves. We enjoy having breakfast and dinner on the balcony while watching the sun rise on the Ocean side or set on the immense Bay. We could capture the same views when dining inside the Unit. On a full moon, at night, we could see the metallic reflection of the moon on the surface of the ocean waves from the balcony. Although the Unit is not direct front, it offers 3 different views in one uninterrupted panorama, a 45-degree view of the beach, full view of the vibrant City and full view of the large beautiful Assawoman Bay with Highway 90 Bridge in the background. Nothing is more peaceful and relaxing than having an early morning jog on the beach when the sand is still cool and before anyone sets foot on the beach. Fishing competition has been held right on our beach in front of our building. The Antigua Condominium occupies the whole block between 85th and 86th streets, Coastal Highway and the Ocean line at the narrowest point of the long peninsula. The building is within 15 to 20- minute drive from the Ocean City Boardwalk and the Northern Delaware beaches. Luckily, gambling is not allowed in Ocean City which is a very family-oriented beach resort and one would have to travel to the nearest town, Oceandown, a 30-minute drive from Ocean City to find casinos.

What makes this condo unique

We love the smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves. The building is in close proximity to the Carousel Hotel where we can go ice-skating. Other high-rise hotels, condominiums, groceries stores, church, library, movie theaters, restaurants and shops are within close distance from our building. The property is also close to the Northside State Park on 125th st and the Bay where we can go roller-blading, bicycling, crabbing at the pier and where the Annual Arts & Crafts festival and other special events are being held (i.e July the 4th fireworks). Ocean City, the White Marlin Capital of the World, is famous for bottom fishing in the bays and deep sea fishing offshore the Atlantic Ocean. The Gulf Stream is also a short distance offshore and easily reached by boat to fish. For shopping, there is also outlet malls on the outskirt of Ocean City and in Delaware. Ocean Down, a nearby town (within 20 min drive), offers casino gambling.

Although this condo is in a great location, we were quite disappointed with this rental. The unit itself is run down and needs updating, which wasn't apparent in the pictures. The pull out couch is very old and dirty looking. When we arrived the drain in the shower in the master bathroom was clogged, there was a coating of dust on all of the vents, and there was food and garbage under the furniture. The owner had written signs on everything, including one on the thermostat that said that the air conditioning could not be set below 75 degrees. This condo was unpleasant for my family to stay in for a week.

Owner's Response: It is amazing to me, as a longtime property Owner of this beach condo, to see that the same vacation home, to one guest, is a the perfect get-away, and yet, disappointing to another customer. It all boils down to the level of expectation from the part of the individual. The guest prior to Melissa S (Allison, B, with her 3 kids- Stay Date: Aug 16-19, 2016) gave the condo a 5 stars, whereas Melissa S (Stay Date: Aug 20-27, 2016) who checked in right after Allison, gave the condo a 1 star. I appreciate the feedback from my guests, and will check on the condition of the property with the cleaning company that I have been using for the past 5 years. The written signs everywhere were created to help the guests find the right lights or ceiling fan switches or instructions given on how to use high-tech equipment such as Wi-Fi, High Definition Comcast TV, Internet, how to cope with emergency measures, etc . The setting of the thermostat to 75F was a suggested temperature in order to keep the electric bill down especially when the condo in unoccupied or not rented. When the outside temperature is in the high 90's or 100 degree in the Summer, then it is wise to not let the geothermal thermostat work non-stop and burst. Customers can still change the temperature to their liking. I now understand that these notes could be annoying to people who do not need to know them or do not agree with the notes. As to the food under the furniture (perhaps underneath the sofa?), I'll have to let my condo cleaning company know to vacuum underneath the beds and the 2 sofas. The cleaning lady might have missed those areas. A thank you to all my guests for your constructive feedbacks!

Location was great but the unit was not very clean.

Serious cleaning of the vents is needed! The rooms, especially the kitchen, were very cluttered with unnecessary items and decorations. We loved the location, close to everything.

Owner's Response: The Condo Association handles the maintenance of each individual Unit's heater and A/C. Their maintenance staff were either late at replacing the A/C filters or might have missed our Unit completely. The A/C vents are usually cleaned at the end of the Summer. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. This allows us to correct any deficiencies that our much caring guests were able to discover and report back to us in their reviews. Some of the excess pots and pans that were cluttering the Kitchen probably belonged to our customers who brought them in and left behind when they departed and we generally try to remove them from the property at the end of the Summer.

Fantastic Family Getaway!

My husband and 3 kids had such a great time! The condo was accurately described - clean, comfortable, and had a well supplied kitchen. Perfect location - easy to go back and forth between the condo and the beach. Kids loved the pool as a break from the ocean - especially later in the day. And so accessible to shops, and great restaurants. The owner was easy to reach and prompt to get back to us. Definitely hope to come back!

Our vacation was great! We loved the view of the beach from the balcony and liked being so close to the beach. The condo was spacious and very well decorated. The location was perfect with restaurants and stores within walking distance. Plus everyday the weather was nice and there were beautiful sunsets at night.

I have had repeat guests staying at our condo for a month in the Summer because they loved the gorgeous panoramic views from their Master bedroom. The same family stayed at our condo for 3 consecutive Summers. My goal is to share the beach condo with a select group of travelers who appreciate the beauty of Eastern shore, and the unique sunsets of Ocean City that can be captured from our large balcony. You are welcomed to come back to your favorite spot anytime.

Overall a nice stay

Location was great! It was near good restaurants and Roses if you needed anything for the beach. The owner was quick to respond to my emails and seemed very nice. The place overall could stand many updates as most everything was outdated. The kitchen was probably the original when the building first went up. The condo was clean and main bathroom has had some updates. We have 3 younger children so after two of them took a shower there was no hot water left for anyone else. I am sure that is a building issue not the owners. The second bedroom did not have a tv which disappointed my kids as they enjoy being able to watch tv in bed during vacations. The balcony had great views of bay and ocean but the plastic chairs were not comfortable to sit out and relax. Also with that being said, it was a concrete balcony and with my kids not being able to see over or through it, they tried to boost themselves up so they can see the view. As you can imagine I didn't let them go out there with it being on the 12th floor. The bathrooms and hallways leading from the bathrooms are all tiled and my kids slipped a couple times so I went to Roses and bought rugs. I would suggest you bring your own since they don't supply those. The owner had notes on everything...which took away from a home away from home feeling. But with that said some were good reminders of how some of the things in the condo worked. The Master bed was very hard so if you like hard beds then this is perfect for you. The Master bedroom was the most updated room in the condo. This room also had spectacular view!! The beach was beautiful and not crowed at all. The pool was heated which was very nice. Workers in the building were friendly and helpful.

Owner's Response: Your constructive comments are greatly appreciated. Yes, we could have a 3rd digital TV in the 2nd bedroom, but hesitated because some parents might be strict about what their kids are watching. The concrete balcony is unfortunately not see-through. A toddler must be at a certain height to be able to view the panorama from the balcony. I understand your concern with the safety of young kids left unattended on the balcony of a high-rise. The condo architect had only one concern in mind at time of building planning, that is how to make the building flood/hurricane proof, which explains the creation of the rotunda on concrete pilotis with 2 circular balconies, one interior and one exterior and no living unit on the ground floor. The reason for the plastic chairs is so they can easily be moved and replaced at the end of each season as nothing outdoor seems to last by the ocean. The 13-story condominium was built in 1976, as solid as a rock. The space allowed to store the water tank in the unit was limited to a 30-gallon tank, which explains the waiting time needed when more than 30 gal are used up at one time. However, there are additional private shower units by the pools that the guests could use if they cannot wait until the unit's water tank gets refilled automatically. We may have large groups renting from us, and I will make sure they are aware of the existence of these additional shower units. Our kitchen has not been completely updated. However, we structurally knocked out all original tall cabinets which obstructed the beautiful view of the Bay from the kitchen. Extensive floors, walls, and ceiling renovation & constant major appliances replacement were done routinely to maintain the Unit to the level of guest comfort and expectation. The damages to the property caused by the sun, high wind, hurricane storms, salt and sand from the ocean, added to the normal wear & tear due to rentals, represent a constant and expensive upkeep for us, beach condo owners. We postponed replacing the kitchen cabinets because years ago, these were well made, out of good solid wood and we are reluctant to replace them with something that may not even resist the harsh weather in Ocean City. So, we had the cabinets resurfaced and professionally painted in white to retain their true authentic solid wood state. We were going to replace the counter top with a granite one until we heard of people using counter tops as chopping boards. Thank you for your honest review.
