Un joyau moderne à Bend, West Hills HideAway est calme

Dans le cadre de nos locations de vacances Rocking CR, nous avons ce joyau d'une maison sur 1/3 acre dans les collines ouest de Bend en dessous d'Awbrey Butte avec de grands chantiers a été rénové et récemment décoré pour votre confort et votre plaisir. La maison a 3 chambres à coucher et deux bains et demi. Toutes les chambres ont des lits ultra queen avec des draps et des meubles luxueux.

La cuisine est entièrement équipée et dispose d'une nouvelle table de cuisson au gaz, d'un réfrigérateur avec machine à glaçons, d'un lave-vaisselle et d'une buanderie avec laveuse et sécheuse. Les portes coulissantes en verre de la cuisine s'ouvrent sur un petit patio et une grande cour privée sereine… un endroit idéal pour se divertir avec du vin l'après-midi, des micro-bières, des fromages célèbres et du pain frais de boulangerie, des cafés locaux.

West Hills HideAway a une grande cour avant herbeuse (les cerfs adorent cela) avec un parking hors rue pour trois voitures, un garage pour 2 voitures et une grande cour arrière privée avec terrasse, gazon et arbres d'ombrage pour se détendre, des barbecues et des rencontres. ..Les familles adorent la cour pour l'intimité et l'espace. Le HideAway dispose d'une cuisine complète, d'un grand salon / salle à manger ouvert et d'une salle de jeux / divertissement pour regarder la télévision, jouer à des jeux de société, à des jeux de cartes ou jouer au billard. Plus tard dans la nuit, passez une bonne nuit de sommeil dans une literie européenne sur des matelas à plateau-coussin haut de gamme dans l'une des trois chambres.

Les espaces spacieux et sereins se mêlent à la nature toute la journée. … Les vacances peuvent être remplies d'une variété d'activités: jouer au golf sur les nombreux parcours à proximité, remonter la rue jusqu'à Hillside Park, se promener dans des prairies fleuries, visiter les musées historiques du désert, assister à des festivals de jazz, de folklore, de cinéma et d'art au centre-ville, randonnées pédestres ou à vélo sur les sentiers et lodges historiques, ski ou embarquement au mont. Baccalauréat ou à HooDoo, patin à glace à la nouvelle patinoire. À seulement 10 minutes, choisissez le terrain de golf à jouer. Mieux encore, rencontrez les visages amicaux de la communauté locale… également un joyau secret, sur les marchés ouverts, dans les boutiques, dans les musées et festivals, ou dans l'historique Tower Theatre.

Close to all Bend has to offer, but quiet and peaceful

Comfy home on corner lot in Awbrey Hill neighborhood on west side of Bend. Single story home with lots of light coming through windows, bright and open living area design (LR, dining and kitchen). Fenced-in corner lot means privacy and quiet. Close to west side shopping and restaurants, off-leash park 1/2 block away, Deschutes River Trail ~ 1 mile walk. Well-stocked home, including kitchen, with everything you need. One can easily access all Bend has to offer, but then you can retreat here when you're done!

Great Location and House

Great house although if you have anyone elderly as I did traveling with you the floors are not even and are a trip hazard. There is a trim in the middle for some reason. The owner is super accommodating though and the house is gorgeous. We could have used a few more towels and bedding items but it's a convenient location and has a beautiful backyard. Super convenient to a park if you have children and easy access to downtown within minutes.

I appreciate hearing about the uneven surface for your elderly parent. The threshold between the dining are and the open living space is covered by a rug, but I appreciate hearing it is still uncomfortable for elderly people. We will look into this further to try to fix this. I'm sorry you did not see the extra towels and bedding in the hall closet and in the extra bedding in the bonus room.

Bend Hideaway

The house was perfect for entertaining the family members who spent a few days with us. The pool table was a real plus--as were the mule deer that travelled through the front yard on almost a daily basis. The only criticisms: the washer did not seem to be using cold water when the "cold" button was pushed--everything came out hot, even delicates. The kitchen lights would flicker dimly for a period of time after turning them off at night. The garage 8 ft. fluorescent bulbs were out and need to be replaced. Thanks to the owners and to the property manager for all your help!

We are replacing the burnt out bulbs in the garage, so that should not be a problem. The flickering lights is characteristic of some of the new bulbs, just like the dim beginning until they heat up. Perfect fit for our family of 5.

Lots of space for everyone. The Living/Dinning room is nice and big, plus the gas fireplace keeps the house warm (yes, we had to turn it on even though it was June 10th!!). Kitchen is big and would be great to make a big meal. Bedrooms are far enough away from living room and TV room so if anybody wants to hit the sack early. Our kids thought that the house needed another TV in the living room, but I think it is just fine have the 1 TV in the lower party room. We had some minor issues with the house, but we just e-mailed the owner and got everything resolved. The laundry room is huge and doubles as a gear storage room, we fit 4 sets of golf clubs in there with plenty of room to left We'll definitely keep this on the list of rentals to use in the future and will recommend it to friends and family.

Thanksgiving Holiday

We had a wonderful stay at this hidden hills hideaway. We were there during the Thanksgiving holiday to visit family. Oregon was on a two week pause during our stay, but we still had plenty to do. There was a park half a block down the street, a pool table, plenty of board games for the kids and just sitting in the living room watching the deer pass by was amazing. The fenced backyard was perfect for our two golden retrievers.

Perfect Bend Vacation Cottage

I really, really loved staying at this cottage with my husband and small dog! The house has a nice layout, it's clean, on a quiet street, and has a lovely back yard for little dogs and people alike. I felt at home from the minute we arrived because the house had everything we needed. I especially loved the rec room because (like a total weirdo) I brought my bike and smart trainer with me and this was the perfect set up. The little desk area in the kitchen was perfect for the days when I had to work remotely, but there is also another desk area in the large laundry room. The gas cooktop makes better pancakes than my electric range at home. There was a gas grill in immaculate condition in the back yard as well as a propane fire pit/table. The gardeners come on Thursdays, in case you have your dog with you, and they were very polite and kind. There is plenty of parking in front of the house if you decide not to use the driveway or garage. The owners were responsive and very kind/easy to work with. I'm very much looking forward to renting this cottage again for our vacation next year!!!

Great for the entire family!

We were in town for a baseball tournament and it was nice to have a house with some space for everyone and a nice kitchen to cook in. The house was a in a good location- close drive to many things in Bend but not too big of a drive to Redmond for games. The pool table/game room was a big hit with our teens too!

This is a nice quiet area of town and easy for all the activities we did while we were here. There were 11 mule deer that came by every day. We really enjoyed the pool table too. The park just down the street was a great place to run the dog.

Great house, great location

We had a great time staying here and recommend it to multiple family members who were all in town for a wedding. It was clean, well maintained, and even with 4 feet of snow the property owners/managers made sure we had a safe place to park and walk up to the house. We were even able to do a little sledding on the hill nearby. Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Great location, very nice layout, recently remodeled, big fenced in yard, off street parking

We stayed in Bend over Memorial day weekend to get that last weekend of skiing at Mt.Bachelor. The house was great, close to our favorite restaurants on newport, well furnished, and comfy beds. There was a big fenced in yard for our dog, and that made the trip all the better. They had lots of games and a pool table also. We ended up playing poker with the kids at the kitchen table as the kids found some poker chips and cards in the bonus room. Huge Garage with lots of off street parking which is kind of a rarity in Bend these days. Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in Caroline’s home. Location is everything to us and this home is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, yet not too far from downtown and with convenient access to the road up to Mt. Bachelor. Comfortable, convenient, family friendly - wonderful stay!

We live in Bend, and needed a place to stay for about 10 days while some repairs were being done to our home. This property was highly recommended by a coworker, and it ended up being ideal for our family - mom, dad, our three-year-old, and grandma. Great location, comfortable, well appointed home, with many thoughtful conveniences provided for, and a beautiful backyard. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly, and the whole process from start to finish was simple and straightforward. We would stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice three-bedroom getaway in Bend. We were thoroughly satisfied!

This west hills home is in the perfect location for a visit to bend.

We had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, our time was affected by the multiple fires that were in the area. It was also unfortunate that the wonderful park down the street was closed for the summer. All that being said, the home is a great place for a visit to the area...within walking distance of many shops,hiking trails and downtown. You really don't have to get in your car. I think a few bikes would make a great addition to the home as renting them is very expensive. Caroline Matz, the owner, was wonderful to work with as was her caretaker who lives a block away. If we had a problem it was quickly taken care of. We hope to get to Bend again soon, Teen and Bill Roberts

Great family fun!

Thanks Caroline for a great stay. Your place is immaculate, relaxing and in a nice part of town. It was just minutes to many great restaurants and kayaking (our favorite activity). It was perfect for all three generations of our family. It even stayed cool in the July heat. We see our in-laws once a year so it was super important that the house was nice and relaxing. A Great Southern Escape!

Visited Bend from Calgary Alberta Canada, and this beautiful and spacious home was the perfect place to stay! It's only moments away from downtown, westside restaurants and attractions and it is within walking distance to a phenomenal park with an off leash area for dogs. The home is exceptionally clean and well supplied with everything I needed. Looking forward to my next stay here!

Close and comfortable

Thank you for sharing your home with us. My husband and I had a grand long weekend. We relaxed in the comfortable living room by the blazing fire. We barbecued and cooked and loved sitting on the patio sharing wine in the evening and coffee in the morning. We were so close to downtown, we frequently biked to shopping and restaurants. We slept soundly each night in the master bedroom. We will be back.

Our family stayed for a month and had a wonderful time. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked so we were able to cook meals quite easily. The family room was great for the kids to play games, cards, watch TV while the adults enjoyed socializing in the living room. We were close to town so frequently went for the many hikes along the river. It was also great having the big park just up the street. The house worked perfectly for us.

great place!

We were very lucky to get this place. We have stayed for years in Bend and this was by far one of the most comfortable places we have stayed. We came in for a bike race and had lots of gear and bikes and there was a great utility room which was unexpected and perfect for having everything out of the way. The rest of the house was very comfortable for our group of 5. Great location too away from the busy roads in West Bend.

Doug and Caroline: We both like the outdoors and the activities that come with it. We like skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, fishing, kayaking, horseback riding. We moved from Sonoma, California in 2012. We enjoy meeting people and sharing this beautiful spot, Central Oregon and Bend, with others. So we looked for a house that was in Bend, Oregon, near downtown as well as near the mountains and hiking, biking, and rafting on the river, but far enough away to have some quiet relaxing time after adventures. We think West Hills HideAway is a gem to share. It is one of three unique private homes that make up our Rocking CR Vacation Rentals.

This house, as part of our Rocking CR Vacation Rentals, is in the City of Bend only 1 mile to Pioneer Park and downtown near Mirror Pond and the Deschutes River. There is a beautiful Hillside Park and Playground just 3 houses up the street. Mt. Bachelor is 20 minutes away. The mountains and hiking are so easily accessed since downtown and Newport and Galveston Avenue activities are only 1 mile away, and Highway 97 is your access to Sisters, Redmond and Smith Rock, Bend Country Club and High Desert Museum. Many golf courses are only 10 minutes away.

We think you will fully enjoy the quiet surroundings of the house, especially after a full day of exploring and adventure. Cooking is a pleasure with all the amenities and space to cook with family and friends. A large yard allows you to eat outside as well. It is fun to see the deer passing by on the front lawn.
