We really liked Carol's Cottage - it had everything we needed, was larger than expected, and is set in a beautiful countryside. The Queens Head pub down the road is lovely. The Wenhaston Doom painting is just up the road and worth a look if you like English history. I would be very happy to stay here again.

Lovely, clean & neat.
Lovely, clean & neat.
Their directions were not too good as you had to look out for the Methodist sign, which could not be seen due to being covered by tree, which delayed our arrival by half hour.
On only sunny day could not hang the washing on the line :- No pegs.
The fan in the shower room was not working.
Just a bit of info, leak in the Conservatory at table end, as it abuts the main wall, also the double sockets x 2 have no power in Conservatory.
To conclude we would defiantly come back to this lovely area, Thank You.

Lovely cosy cottage in a rural location.
Lovely cosy cottage in a rural location. It was comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. The lovely sun room, doubling as a dining room, caught the sunshine from early morning and the enclosed garden meant that we could leave the door open without fear of our dog escaping.

A lovely location if you want to get away from it all which we did.The cottage was lovely spotlessly clean with most things you want .My only criticism is that it could have done with more crockery there was only 4 of everything and we ate in as it was in a remote area so didn’t go out at night.I would recommend it and would certainly go there again

This is my third time staying in Carol's Cottage.
This is my third time staying in Carol's Cottage. It is located in a quiet area in Wenhaston. It is close to Southwold and Halesworth. The cottage is well equipped and ideal for couples up to 4 people. It is also a good place to stay if you have dogs. Suffolk is one of my favourite places to visit in the UK.

Carol's Cottage is in an excellent location, with lovely views across fields to the other side of the Blyth Valley. It was great accommodation for dogs, had a very comfortable conservatory, and good outdoor furniture. The cottage is close to the village, but away from its roads. The local shop seems to have closed, but it is not far to other shops and some very good pubs.

A comfortable little cottage in a great rural location, ideal for a peaceful holiday.
A comfortable little cottage in a great rural location, ideal for a peaceful holiday. In fact it was a pool of tranquillity in an ocean of Covid19 madness! We had taken our mother (who has limited mobility) away for a break and it was perfect being all on one level. Both bedrooms had plenty of storage room and an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and conservatory was a nice addition for eating and relaxing. There was ample parking and lots of walks direct from the accommodation for those more physically able. The bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. We stayed during a heatwave and it was lovely to be able to sit outside in the fenced off garden with a large umbrella available for morning shade. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Location is superb, so quiet peaceful,Karen so helpful.
Location is superb, so quiet peaceful,Karen so helpful. Nice well equipped, loved both bedrooms had en-suite plenty parking .That said lounge furniture not comfortable not ideal either for people taking dogs as all carpeted, but nice little garden for your pet to relax however we found Nipon ant killer outside and inside In corners and along edges which our dog went to sniff straight away,so dog owners and parents be aware . Concidering we had to wait until 5pm to get in to property and vacate by 9am to allow extra cleaning and airing touch points ie around door handles and door edges were grubby, my daughter and I cleaned these areas so wasn’t impressed with extra 2 hours deducted from our stay ,and the fact that Karen arrived outside ready to clean at 8.30 put us under stress on our final morning as 9 is quite early to vacate especially if you have a dog and children to get ready . So if you don’t have young children or dogs you will have a nice quiet stay but we wouldn’t stay again ,but the area is beautiful. Also the cottage Is surrounded by corn fields literally at boundary fence that was going to be cut that morning so thankful we were leaving as the dust would be unbearable and no peace and quiet

Had a brilliant week.
Had a brilliant week. A very well equipped and clean cottage. A warm welcome on arrival. Plenty of places to visit, but the network of footpaths around the property are well worth exploring. We were lucky enough to have a couple of cloudless nights and the stars were great to see with no light pollution to spoil them. We are booked already for next year and are looking forward to it. Can't wait!
