The owners have tried to keep Shrimp Cottage tucked away in their lovely grounds but it has been discovered for your Suffolk stay.. 2 steps to entrance.

All on the Ground Floor:

Living/dining room: Freeview TV, DVD Player

Kitchen: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine

Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Electric heaters and electricity (£30 per week, 2nd October-30th April). Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Just 500 yards from the glorious sand duned beach at Kessingland, a traditional seaside village on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, this delightful brick and flint cottage with its private sunny patio and garden is tucked away in the grounds of the owners’ home. Ideal for a family seaside holiday or just a haven to unwind and relax whatever the season. Only 4 miles away is the popular resort of Lowestoft which offers traditional seaside entertainment and both Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park and Africa Alive are within a short drive. Southwold with its pier and summer theatre, Dunwich Heath and beach, RSPB Minsmere, Aldeburgh with its fishing boats and local seafood and Snape Maltings Concert Hall are all easily accessible as are the lovely Norfolk Broads. Shop 0.5 miles and pub 500 yards.

Winter fuel supplement of £30 per week, £15 for a 4 night break and £10 for a 3 night break - payable on arrival between 1st October and 1st May. There is a sea 500 yards from property.

Only dogs allowed at the property.

Shrimp Cottage was simply wonderful for our week away in Suffolk.

Shrimp Cottage was simply wonderful for our week away in Suffolk. Close to lots of interesting places, villages and seaside towns. Definitely recommend staying in Shrimp Cottage if you want to be close to the beach at Kessingland which is just perfect and only a five minute walk with a great pub too!! Cottage was stunning and everything was decorated tastefully in a seaside theme. Only complaint if any would be that the sofas were not that comfortable but to be honest after a full day out you just need your bed, which is superbly comfortable!! Owners were very friendly and informative but not intrusive in any way. Overall a superb cottage in a beautiful part of Suffolk, so enjoy!!

We had a lovely week's holiday in Shrimp Cottage at the end of September.

We had a lovely week's holiday in Shrimp Cottage at the end of September. The cottage was perfect for the two of us and our dog Max. Off road parking, nice owners. Kessingland has everything for eating out and everyone was really friendly. Highly recommend the fish and chip shop up the road and the Sailors Home near the beach. Southwold is wonderful for a visit and the walks great for us and the dog. Would definitely go again and can recommend with no hesitation. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Really lovely place to stay.

Really lovely place to stay. The cottage is in the owners garden and they were on hand if necessary, but unobtrusive. They made us feel so welcome. We would not hesitate to go back. Even though it poured with rain all week we felt we had had a proper break and Covid restrictions had very little impact on our enjoyment of the area and the local facilities. Shrimp cottage is fabulous - everything we could have wished for for our few days away to relax.

Shrimp cottage is fabulous - everything we could have wished for for our few days away to relax. Everything is of a high standard, exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and well-maintained with a well equipped kitchen. It is ideally situated for walks on the beach, just a few minutes down the lane. Our Labrador enjoyed exploring the huge beach area and our daily walks nearly as far as Lowestoft. The tiny village shop opposite the cottage is invaluable, stocking virtually everything you require. Richard and Penny are lovely people and making sure everything is perfect for you is their priority.

This cottage is an absolute gem.

This cottage is an absolute gem. It’s got a beach a pub, chippy and a little shop for your essentials all within 300 yards. Parking on site and secure. Richard even went and bought a new fan for us as it was so hot. It’s quiet and peaceful just what we needed. Totally recommend shrimp cottage. Thanks Richard and Penny.

Shrimp Cottage is absolutely lovely, its really clean and tidy and is equipped with everything you need. It has board games and DVD's available for the children. It has an enclosed garden which is ideal if you have a dog. The hosts are a lovely couple and so helpful, they leave a lot of information about all the local places to visit and eat at, and which are dog friendly. The beach is less than a 5min walk away, and right near a really nice local pub/restaurant, an excellent fish restaurant and a lovely fish and chip shop. All so within a 5 min drive is Livingstones which do the best carvery with delicious desserts which is excellent value for money. My young son gave the cottage 5 stars, and absolutely loved it. We also loved it and will definitely book again.

A lovely cosy cottage .

A lovely cosy cottage . Had everything we needed. Very clean. Enclosed small garden which was great for our dog. Shingle Beach only a 2 min walk. Kessingland it's self was very quiet, 2 pubs/restuarants a fish and chips shop and a gift shop, saying that everyone was very friendly, live music in the pub across the road Saturday night and Sunday lunch , thoroughly enjoyed the carvery and blues music Sunday afternoon! The cottage is a great base for a few days away, lovely to go back and chill there after lots of walking with the dog! Owners very friendly! Left 2 Easter eggs for the kids which was a lovely thought. Would highly recommend and would defo return!

We had a wonderful short break at the cottage. The owners couldn’t have been kinder with information before we arrived and whilst we were there. The cottage has everything you need and was very lovely indeed. First trip to Suffolk and undoubtedly not our last. Hope to return to Shrimp Cottage. The shop over the toad was wonderful and the owner was so helpful and kind. We also really enjoyed travelling to Southwold, Aldeburgh and to Africa Alive which was at the top of the road. Highly recommend the cottage, and the extra treat of an Easter egg for the girls was a huge treat. They were genuinely delighted. Thanks to Penny and Richard for everything.
